  1. Little wimp -- forever tainted. Does anyone have footage of the arrow maker kneeing Blease? Looked bad, and pretty typical, at the time.
  2. Great article - and I loved his final philosophical quip: "The ox is slow but the earth is patient" (no apologies to Mr Schwarz :-) ) Hopefully some especially here will get of MN's back and let him whip our team into shape, and succeed.
  3. LOL :-)IF, and I emphasise IF, the AFL had balls, they would just tell Essendung and Collingwood to get an away strip of forfeit the 4 points. Wont happen because they don't !
  4. Sewell may not be fast but he is quick of thought - concept discussed somewhere earlier today on another thread. And I think the quickness of mind will come when our mids get fitter therefore less tired, and gain confidence in those around them.
  5. I think it is quickness of thought and decision making and not just raw leg speed. He has it.
  6. He is a fantastic acquisition for the club. Cool, calm, composed, courageous - a great fit for our defence.
  7. Big projects take time!! And as an aside Jetta took another dive despite the "warning" from the MRP. I presume he will get another chance!
  8. I agree - didn't, thankfully, change the result, but why the hell have a review system when they don't use it for a close call like this???Geishen, the failed failed coach both of Tigers and umpires, will of course come out and say how correct the decision, and the decision not to refer, was.
  9. Does anyone here know who actually runs and sets up these clips? If so can they be asked, please, to give the questioner a microphone so us mugs can actually hear what they are asking! Some of the answers are absolutely meaningless without the question. Should be pretty easy to do if they ?AFL ?Telstra can be bothered.
  10. I was thinking the same thing - Jack would look great in #12, and already has shown in half a VFL match that he has more "application" than the current incumbent.
  11. Ugly: Their coach's hairdo - will somebody please gift him a bottle of shampoo.
  12. ...has form, but plays for Essendon.I didn't see who in the heat of the moment but another Bummer did an old fashioned Fletcher trip / leg out tackle and wasn't pulled up.
  13. Sellar will need to stay in to take Cloke and / or Dawes, even if Chip is back. No question there Did well last night. Green did little. Certainly Dunn did more.
  14. Sellar stepped up, to the surprise of many, in the absence of Frawley. Garland up forward also exerts some defensive pressure. Good move. Long term - ??
  15. Looking forward to his follow up article this week ;-)
  16. Tynan - where did he play and what did he do? Someone asked re Cook - was he on a skinny kid or a serious defender? Did Petterd do anything to get at all excited about? Any obvious replacements for Blease should he not get up?
  17. Bugger - I will now have to take the skis off the Range Rover and cancel the chalet next weekend. The chaps will be upset what-oh!
  18. Certainly will need another one like tonight next week with the gorilla Cloke. Fitted into the defence very well. Poor Blease can't take a trick - did anyone see if it was a kick? If Frawley is back it will allow Garland Another hit up forward vs the Filth. Good coaching and selection.
  19. A little tear formed in my one eye ! :-))))))
  20. If anyone takes the slightest notice of what the village idiot has to say, then pity help us.
  21. Y You could have Lockett, Coventry, Dunstall, Lloyd, Norm Smith and Carey up there but if the ball doesn't get out of the middle and out of defence then they wouldn't be able to conjure up a goal.
  22. IF and when a guy some may remember, Jordan Gysberts, gets back on the field and hits anything like the firm of his first few games, people will stop this sort of talk.
  23. So Colin-the-lazy-and-inappropriately-arrogant Sylvia has "earned" a recall?? His front running loud mouthed but underperforming colleague 22 has "earned" another chance. Meanwhile Couch, promoted from the rookie list with some fanfare (though admittedly even without a game in several weeks due to injury and pathetic VFL scheduling) languishes "playing" yet another bye after burning off all opposition for the previous month with, so we hear, toughness and dedicated application. There appears all the justice of a Guintanimo Bay trial. And we can't seem to get a team out there to all put in their heart and soul for the full 3,600 seconds.
  24. When did Martin last play at any level? Is he recovered and ready?
  25. I tend to agree and look forward to the shock -- at least one before the break would raise morale immensely.
