  1. ...are you confusing #22 with #12 ?
  2. We could poach $cully - oh no, that's right - he has sworn lifelong allegiance to GWS, hasn't he?
  3. Thanks for all thatStill looks a "useful prospect" then.
  4. And I am sure that if he meets the KPIs that Neeld sets down for him then he will be very welcome to continue: if he doesn't then all will have to be reconsidered. I don't think Neeld will have any sentimentality about it, which is quite correct in "modern footy".
  5. The press, just like the "independent" MRP each have their own agendas.
  6. ...yes, I am sure we would all like to see that, and have been teased by him for such a long time that few will be able to maintain the patience and faith. The club could die if they were to depend on him fulfilling his potential, sadly.
  7. Thanks GSOAG
  8. Is the footage on you tube or anywhere else?
  9. Frawley - yes, probably for Green with Tappy to move forward: Bartram - how long since he has played at any level? Wouldn't rush him back. And still little detail about Sam Blease -- was it a groin strain or some sort of corky from the master of kneeing? How is it going? Anyone been able to get to training this week?
  10. Maybe I have missed some other thread, but what is the situation with Blease's injury (inflicted by that serial kicker / tripper / kneer Fletcher)? EDIT: sorry, left out elbower
  11. are you suggesting that the Cheaters will offer Eddie a whole lot of Visy recycled cardboard in exchange for Cloke?
  12. I haven't seen enough of Cook to be sure, but to those who have - could he ever become the big bodied gorilla that is Cloke? I hear that he is a good mark and kick, but frail of frame. Comments invited, but only from those who know.
  13. I am sure Neeld is in a position better than most to know his true worth, and just how and where he would fit in. Maintain the faith.
  14. Jaded - I do get the gist of your 10/90 assertion, but IMVHO he has a lot more talent than that, though few if any get, through application, more out of what they are endowed with than NJ.
  15. And next Monday's win will be even more significant!
  16. No. Please describe what is unique about them?
  17. .I suspect especially this year under Mr Neeld the only permanent thing will be change.
  18. Maybe, maybe not. Mr Neeld may read their VicKick reports and pull out another rabbit from the hat. I think he is looking at a degree of versatility as part of the master plan.
  19. And I too would have no quarrels with his absence.
  20. I would doubt if Gys would be risked, but I think Casey play next week - our bye, so may be eased back then. I wonder if young Viney will be on a similar time frame or are state U18 games to take precedent. Does anyone know if their injuries were the same, ie upper vs lower jaw etc?? It would be just great to see the Gys back for the second half of the season. He shouldn't have lost a lot of condition after the first few days. And I guess bloody Wojsinksi is back already !!
  21. And sure as hell, I do too. What I am saying is that there seems to be some sort of mentality that if so and so is / are out it will be, to use a term from some other team, a cakewalk, which it usually isn't. We need to focus on whoever IS there and not on who is not.
  22. FFS, how many times especially over recent years have people posted on this board that ......(name an opposition star).... .... is out and how good is that for us? Now we will have an easy game. And how many times, even when we had reasonable form going in has that come back to bite us?? Why not just face up to whatever the opposition chooses to put on the middle against us and..........kick ass.
  23. I would see him more a defensive forward (vs say Shaw) than a backman. He can hurt the opposition defence with a long goal but does his kicking have the finesse required of a modern day defender?
