Well said Bergley I don't really know what those who want to sack Neeld now and half the list at season's end think would happen then. Maybe Norm Smith's reincarnation, and RDB and his band of merry men finding the fountain of youth? Neeld has embarked on a far more ambitious journey than did Bailey or ND - he needs support, and constructive criticism, and a bit of blind faith of course. I do at times feel like throwing it all in but cannot help myself grabbing a look on TV or going to a game when I can. Last night was very dispiriting, amongst the worst performances I have seen but there are glimpses of hope now and then.

Just FCS get an even number of VFL teams so that we are all not so repeatedly disadvantaged with all these byes. It is ridiculous. The practicalities of having a national "reserves" competition are overwhelming, especially with lists of 40. This week for example we only had I believe 27 players from whom to choose - that would leave but 3 of ours and 21 "top ups" to maybe take to Perth or Darwin for a second their match! Not even the CFC (Cardboard or Chickenwing FC) could afford that.

Liam has been charged with a criminal offence: as far as I know "the other bloke" hasn't, therefore will not get or require legal representation.

Don't need to -- even if we wanted to probably lack the skill base to pull it off.

I am sure VFL folk are as passionate as AFL fans, but the VFL as an entity will only gain respect as a genuine affiliated / support competition when they get one more (or one fewer) team to eliminate the multiple byes.

I think that we tried last year too to have it immediately before the bye, and as I remember Vlad et al just basically said - get stuffed. It is really not much to ask - the two teams who play there could do it before the same bye week.I do agree that any more than one game their is too many.

Yeah -- all the best Liam. This does put life into perspective - there are some things more important than footy, but I am sure all here would just love to see you back on the field, fit and well, ASAP.

Sadly I am coming around to those thoughts too. But despite that, I doubt if all will be cut. For what it is worth, I suspect Dunn may be the survivor unless someone, maybe GC or GW$ want a mature bodied (and mature upper lipped, though not necessarily mature minded) player. I haven't given up on Cook, who is really in effect due to injury almost a first year big man.And there is no way that I would compare Watts, who was I think to the majority of east coast fans the clear number 1 pick, and number 2 were you in the west, with Cook who whilst dominating the U18s wasn't ever discussed as a top pick.
