  1. I would certainly like an up to date prognosis on Clark's recovery before I would consider this though. And interesting that you see Fitz > Martin as a forward considering he has had ? 2 games. I am disappointed that we haven't seen more of Fitz especially when we have been so short of tall timber up forward since Clark's injury; after all it is an experimental season.
  2. ...and when NicNat "did a Thompson" and headed back west, as he allegedly kept saying pre-draft, would we be all saying "what a great decision that was"???
  3. That sounds just bizarre - no way even Phil $ would fit 9 kgm of fat into one knee......well, maybe. Perhaps he has and nobody noticed. On a serious note, he will be pushing to have his surgery and the outcome predicted before list time. Can we afford to gamble with him, especially as Mitch Clark must also be rated as uncertain? I wish him well.
  4. Hi az_tec - if you look carefully at your keyboard, at each end of the bottom line is a key usually labelled either "SHIFT" or marked with an up arrow. This enables small letters to become big ones, like This! It tends to makes sentences easier to read, especially when there are a lot of names aka "proper nouns".
  5. If you mean those on our list though not necessarily available this week, and in no specific order: FRAWLEY, GARLAND, T MCDONALD, GRIMES, JONES, BLEASE, TRENGOVE, WATTS, CLARK, HOWE. Probably Jurrah over Garland if fit and not distracted or held up elsewhere for some reason. Only 3.5 mids there, which I guess highlights our biggest problem area.
  6. RR - so you presumably don't think either depth, or competition for positions is at all important then. Also he has shown some capability as a forward pinch hitter - similarly, is versatility not a factor?
  7. Does anyone have any FACTUAL update on Mitch Clark's progress and prognosis? His recovery is IMO the most important yet uncertain of all of those on that list.
  8. So the fact that we haven't developed our top picks much over nearly a decade is the fault of a coach who has had less than one year to stamp his authority? Wow...that is pretty clever of him.
  9. Yes, we lack senior players. Yes, Gillard should resign in shame. All else posted in the lead of this post is drivel. Green has looked almost all the last two seasons to be on his last legs. He has the brain to want to bow out on his terms and not just fade away via the VFL, and good on him for making that call. There is absolutely nothing preventing him from remaining a mentor to the youth in our group, should he so wish, in an unofficial capacity if he sees fit. As for Moloney's issues -- you may have summed up his issues with the phrase "....despite seeing himself as the next captain ...". Maybe he is playing for himself, and lacks the insight to see that he is part of a team? Sack another coach within a year of appointing him -- a Board would be absolutely crazy to consider that short of him robbing the till or ..... Yeah, I know, some ready made successful Premiership coach must be out there just banging on the door to join us, a club that would sack a coach one year into a project. The seniors were thin on the ground, certainly, and losing Green, Clark and Jamar to injuries hasn't helped.
  10. This is surely just another knee-jerk reaction to potential threats to the AFL's new darlings, and all it will achieve is the creation of another band of liars.
  11. There is absolutely no doubt it was a set up ..... the big question was it for OTC's own purposes, ar did it come from much higher up which is what I suspect and have expressed repeatedly??
  12. He won't be able to do any more of those Fosters adverts. Let's hope it really lifts his game - time is on the wing for him.
  13. How about another poll asking if we really really need yet another Viney draft thread?
  14. Nate did far more than that -- he never stopped striving to get better and better, not just stay there. A shining example for all to follow. Get the best out of yourself, and then some more!!
  15. Interesting peer group, and yes just hasn't moved forward. Not sure why.Nice bit of wishful thinking re Caddy :-)
  16. Agree -- they just aren't any good, and weren't expected to be. $enile old coach doesn't help, mind you.
  17. Well it could be best that GW$ finish last -- they would surely not risk Whitfield just to [censored] us off, would they. And GC may decide to go for a genuine #2 rather that JV who is rated around 8 I believe.
  18. $$ulky doesn't smile much either. Never did, never will.
  19. in fact throughout the ND and DB era we would just go to water. (Didn't see today's game)
  20. The season has long been over.If there is ANY risk of long term injury aggravation then it is clearly not worth a risk. IF we can get everyone up and ready for preseason then we may have a decent opportunity of a decent ladder climb next year. It is NOT tanking; it is sensible player / list management.
  21. Neeld always has has an enormous up hill battle ahead of him and will have especially over the first half of 2013, and I hope he gets the support he deserves. It was never going to be easy, and wouldn't have been for Malthouse, Roos or Wallace (heaven forbid...argggghhh) He needs to make a lot of changes, "culture", fitness and game plan being amongst them. GO DEES
  22. I tend to agree with your list, but you didn't put Gys in either camp. I would try to keep him unless the Cats made a good offer. They may still remember his debut game.
  23. I believe that there is a vacancy at MFC for a recruiter and I look forward to hearing publicly about the outcome of your application.
  24. Thanks for that.It seems just incredible in the true sense of the word that Williams is even playing at all, let alone impressing at VFL level.
