aka cheating!! Do we really know who is clean and who if any are not??? Premature judgement IMO. Ignorance is not necessarily bliss! Goddard? And Tripper Fletcher clearly has never taken body building drugs, unlike ......... Thompson has been kept very low key, hasn't he. -

Crooks do tend to look shattered when they get caught The Nuremberg defence, "I was only obeying orders", didn't work. -

Was that intentional, ie the suggestion that you are in fact tied, or is it a typo or auto spell? -

"On the bomber boards someone has said it is SARMS they were using. If so, this is really bad [censored]. Looking through what it does and how it works, I would put it in the massively high risk category for long-term impact on your health and probably some forms of cancer. I really hope they haven't been stupid enough to go down that path. " Can't do the link thingy, but try this http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/london-olympics/designer-drug-srams-sweeping-world-sport/story-fn9dirj0-1226266138458 These 2 paragraphs particularly interested me: I know we beat them, unexpectedly, at night. Does anyone remember how they fared especially in night games last season? The only side effect reported, extensively, by bodybuilder guinea pigs on internet forums is a change in light sensitivity. "It's like looking through yellow sunglasses at night, a high beam coming at me no longer blinds me,'' said one user. Another said his eyes took from five to 10 minutes to adjust when he moved into or out of a brightly lit room. You've got to feel bad for Goddard right now. He could have to carry the team, along with this year's batch of recruits, unless of course they have "signed waivers" and started on the stuff already too. The AFL will have to get in and quickly Lance this before it gets out of hand. -

Betting should be suspended, as the odds in a 17 team comp would be different. Bugger - I hate a fixture with byes. -

Age Football writer Waroline Cilson is about to release the following: "Essendon have been inadvertently caught up in the scandalous ongoing Melbourne tanking scandal - Cameron Schwab is said to have, according to reliable sources, secretly encouraged the novice Bomber coach to force his players to experiment with body building drugs. In further breaking news Schwab has also been implicated, according to other reliable sources, in masterminding the shocking European Football (Soccer) match fixing scandal, based on his well known success in systematic match fixing at the MFC. Further investigations are underway on suspicion that he may also be part of the Elvis mystery, and the Kennedy assassination, according to sources." -

surely he would have to plead either stupidity, or incompetence if this actually happened and he did not know. Either way not exactly a golden mark on his résumé. -

Exactly what we never saw in Moloney and all too rarely in Col, the latter in whom I am (maybe) silly enough to still believe. -
Volunteering? You wouldn't find too many takers here I imagine.

Do we get an invitation? Maybe a Saturday night at the G? Trouble is though she has no pride or honour, so she will just squirm into a corner for a while.

There is that "p" word again, but I agree entirely that he has the ability to seriously influence how the team goes 2103. I still think that he has the ability to do well in the Brownlow, if not win it. I think Neeld and Craig have weeded out any who would even consider swinging the lead: they would be sent to Casey quick smart, though I wouldn't put it past him to even delist them stat. The culture has changed, hopefully forever. -

So, if one is interested in hearing about what is going on at training, but couldn't care less about lazy Gys, do you open the Training thread or not? That is why some are complaining about the thread being hijacked. -

Did anyone manage to get to MELBOURNE training and if so do they have ant comments about how MELBOURNE players trained. This thread has been hijacked by some obsessed by how one of our lazy former players is going at his new club. How did Barry, Hogan, Toumpas, Viney etc go? -
Thread title Dom Barry His name is mentioned in only 3 of the last 20 odd posts, Hijacked thread - moderators not doing their jobs, headed for 186 result mods.
-
Well lets hope that it took so little time because there was no substance to it whatsoever.

Is Wayne Swan on our Board?

It is a nice change to see some positivity on this board. GO DEES. BRING IT ON!!!

When we (once again, for those of us with long enough memories) become a powerhouse team, every team we play will be below us on the ladder: then those below us will complain. Remember, and all MFC fans with any even short term memory at all, that we have spent most of the last few season always playing more teams above us than have, say, Geelong: is that fair? :-)) "Home" games at Doglands though will always stick in my craw.

Thanks dee-luded: Thats one problem with the "quote reply": doesn't necessarily translate to the original thread. We are singing from the same sheet.

Thanks all - great reading So, we will hear from the optimists that TMc is a great CHB; and from the pessimists, of whom there are quite a few here, that Dawes is a dud! I am an optimist :-))), and like them both. -
IF Col finally shows his very best throughout a season, we will also have a great season and he may want to stay with a club that is on the rise. IF he doesn't, then it will probably be best for all if we were to part ways; pity about the lack of recompense though. Maybe he, like it is rumoured quite a few others, can't stand the thought of playing under Buckley :-)))

I was thinking a bit from Geelong's point if view really. (Not that I care a lot really.)
