Thanks for getting this back on track, michael. This board seems about as united as the team and club appears to be at present.

Yeah, yeah.....as simple as that. And how simple is getting Roos or Chocco to our basket case? Why would they want it? And do you really think that getting one or other to us would turn us around? How long do you think it would take? 1 or 2 years? Would you be calling for their sacking mid second year if we were still struggling? No...I don't have the answer, but it is not that simple after all. Much as we all hate the concept of merely "being competitive", you have to walk before you run: chasing, tackling, caring for the team and teammate, harassing, running, caring for the team and teammate, making position, running, getting off their collective arses, running, caring for the team and teammate, and by the way, running, would be a real sign of progress. As Kanga Kennedy once said, with ultimate success: "Just do something!"

Yet their coach, an experienced coach, one who many wanted to coach us, isn't enjoying any success. Had these had their wish, and senile Kev was coaching us, and the results were similar to what we are having now, would they bag the board for appointing a "has been" and called for "new blood"????

Some may not like to admit it, but this has and will stifle player development unless and until we unearth some real on field leaders. I am sure some already have their fingers poised on the keyboard, waiting for his first game, or indeed the end of his first season without a game........"dud"..."spud".....<insert any other offensive term> etc etc

They look as if they actually WANT to play, and CARE for their team and their teammates. And their supporters. What an absolutely disgraceful contrast.

As I recall, Peter Dohrman who was (?is) on the Board used to contribute here from time to time, which was welcomed. Obviously a Board member cannot divulge the internal workings of the club, but some (presumably signed off by the Board) information, and answers to questions could only help. And I suspect that at least some current Board members at least look at these discussion boards from time to time, and who knows, some may contribute?

Are you really expecting a new coach as early as this weekend??

I agree that Frawley and Gawn should be priorities over Watts and Sylvia, though the club should work hard to retain them all, or at least get a trade for a decent hard nosed mid if they can.

I would love to agree but where is there any evidence that he has "it"? He has been a favourite of mine but his skills do worry me - i sadly doubt if he will be here when we get a top line midfield. Can someone appropriate PLEASE take him under their wing and teach him, if it is "teachable".

I guess if, as appears increasingly likely, and the wishes of an increasing number of "supporters" here comes to fruition, Neeld is no longer at MFC next year will the absence of the "Neeld's mate" lure to Thomas make any difference to the probability of his being attracted to us?

I am surprised that this point has not been argued against by the many (myself included I must add) who have criticised Neeld - and his two predecessors by the way - for not having a plan B. Was this his plan B? (Couldn't get to the game so cannot comment).
