Absolutely awful cabt watch any more
-
No free for Pertacca taken high by Frawley.
-
Not nearly as much as Brooocce is.
-
Great that Collingwood pull off the occasional surprise to ensure that Buckley isn't sacked - wouldn't want them to employ someone who could actually coach!
-
Certainly two out by half time presents an enormous challenge but no rule can fix that......not that that would stop AFL HQ making a knee jerk decision.
-
Don't forget WE beat this mob at this ground round 1.
-
We showed (v Toiges) just how hard it is to win with two men down from half time.

Has the f'n useless AFL app just died for anyone else? Both 'listen live' and 'watch' suddenly stopped -internet connection OK as this is still working. Bloody greedy Gil and henchmen won't allow the stations to run their own app, but don't make a decent one themselves. So typical of this incompetent money hungry mob.

Titus O'Reily receives clarification regarding the D O O B rule
monoccular replied to beelzebub's topic in Melbourne Demons
One can imagine the AFL bringing a "no tagging rule" in but without defining "tagging" -- then expressing surprise that nobody had any idea what was going on. How do they define "tagging"in TAC? -
Surely that is an illegal "sling tackle" by Stevens. Concussion.
-
I hope you mean that in the sense of "get him" rather than transfer him to or list :-(

Not bombing it into the clouds - maybe because the roof was on, and he couldn't see them. I will make Melbourne strong again, real strong...and big, and strong. And build a wall, a big big wall, big and strong, around the MCG....and make Eddie pay for it. I saw that and thought what an absolute softy. Pathetic. And one very good reason not to even consider a last touch rule.

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND SEVEN
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Unfortunately the umpires will have been instructed to call all Oliver's slick handballs as throws - need to keep their quota up it appears. -
The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
monoccular replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I note that this is a Petracca / McCartin thread but I will respond anyway, Mr Tunnelball. Weideman has already shown far more in just over 1 season on the list than Lucas Cook, who I think we all now agree turned out to be a wasted pick, did in his whole time at Melbourne so the comparison is, IMO, just not there. Weideman was the best available at that pick, and I for one am pretty happy with his progress to date. Nobody in their right mind would expect him to be the key forward at this stage of his career, but that is where he found himself when Jesse was suspended. His last game he payed injured from early in the game. I don't think we will see his consistent best for 18 months or so - I am happy he has had some AFL exposure and will watch with positive interest in his progress over the remainder of 2017. I suspect, on the other hand, you will look for every negative and report them with glee. -

Perhaps they should narrow their selection criteria for umpires - requirements already are (1) blind (2) stupid add (3) deaf -
Lynden Dunn v Oscar McD - Interesting
monoccular replied to Cranky Franky's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good balanced assessment, Chris The question, one that can never be answered of course, especially given CG's season ending injury, is would we have been better off cutting Garland and keeping Dunn? Oscar is a generationally seperate consideration -

Oops I forgot - placebo is only used in ethically conducted clinical drug trials. -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND SEVEN

Well let's just hope that Hibberd was on the placebo! -
Meanwhile Pedersen should be able to keep Weideman's position filled quite adequately

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND SEVEN

Probably because Goodwin is the coach, and not you, nor the Demonland, nor Demonology masses. -

and preferably with spaces between commas, semicolons, and colons, and whatever follows any punctuation mark! -
4. Crisps seems to play better with a "broken jaw" like Rowe does with "concussion"
-
But, let us all hope, that history is what is in the past. We are the new Demons 2017 model!?

Your latter examples are not of selection but of list management, which is not the role if the head coach though no doubt he has a big input. As far as your first example, RDB NM Blight I gave no idea of the background.
