We want to win in WA and manage players appropriately. Not mutually exclusive by the way. Maynard - are you serious? How many games has he played at VFL and in how many has he shone? Surely nobody oaths site would expect even a smattering of integrity from that totally compromised, maybe corrupted, organisation. A sick joke. I am a true believer in the Weed becoming a very good (at least) player, but he needs to find some consistent good form, and the confidence, at Casey. Back and forth AFL/VFL cannot help his development nor his confidence, nor the MFC. Pedersen will be free to play far more minutes as a tallish forward with Max back.

Geez.....surely they can afford a business upgrade for Max??
-
Maybe Vince will be out with "soreness". Joel will surely need a few weeks at Casey - no way he will be rushed in, and for whom, where?
-
The long suffering Demon in me asks "can they put in four quarters today?" I guess we will know in an hour or so.

Brilliant deduction.......would never have thought of it. Take a Nobel Prize ?

I have watched the game several times since seeing in in the flesh - what a mature, poised player Jack has become. So influential in the comeback and the win.

BGS, about the smallest APS school, certainly seem to play above their weight with 10% of last year's MFC List originating from there - Dawes, Watts, Salem, Hunt. Robert Shaw's influence more recently, though I think he arrived post Dawes and Watts Must love playing in red n blue.

? Interesting thought and Eddie has never allowed conflicts of interest to worry him.

Maybe it was Gil as side henchman to Vlad who said that staging was a blight on our game and would be treated very harshly - probably still waiting for a poll to help him decide when and what will be done, if anything. Petsonally I think a suspension could be warranted, and certainly a free and 50 should be the norm. Would stop it stat.

So Richmodian of them. Wanted the Swans to lose but hell schadenfreude sometimes tastes as good as schnitzel (and schnapps).

Nearly all our games are won or lost above the shoulders. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
monoccular replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
steve - did you enjoy the moment and enjoy the win, or are you more concerned that it, in your view, happened by accident? Enjoy the win. Neeld said we would be the hardest team to play against, though I think he meant under his reign, not half a decade later. -
I agree fully, best game I have seen him play, yet ironically he could well be "managed" this week due to team balance and the need and (eventually) availability of a real ruckman. Also, there was talk at some stage of an injury. Any follow up on this?
-
and daniel it was recorded as six points, two more than we won by....not worthwhile? Just shows that you can't do a clanger unless you get the ball. Percentage clangers could be a more interesting stat? At the time I thought that he looked like a basketballer confidently running and dribbling down the court.

Trying to pump them up before the next court case revelation?? Wonder what they were on at the weekend for such a surprise result? Can they keep it up?

We have a couple of beauties there in Oliver and McCartney. ???

Was going to click the "like" button, as I agree with you; but I don't like it that JKH is not competitive enough. He has been a bit of a favorite of mine but I now think he may not make the grade And Bugg after watching the replay actually did a lot more than I though watching it live - anyone have the stats for goal assists and goal involvements? But I agree that he really needs to work hard on his set shots.

6. Jones 5. Petracca 4. Viney 3. O. mac 2. Oliver 1. Hibberd

No. Looked in full command. The most mature and composed I have seen him Preferably higher Interesting that when the Pies have lost the criticism has been that the players are not playing for their coach, and when they win "we did it for Bucks"! So yesterday were they not "playing for Bucks"?
-
I guess it is not always clear watching the game live just who is responsible for whom. Now it has been pointed out that Melksham "was on" an ineffectual Pendlebury we can see things in a different light.

And every successful team has some good ordinary players. I salute him. He has done all that has been asked of him. -
Will watch the replay - must say I didn't notice Melksham much but did notice Pendlebury's absence - so if that was Melk's task then he did it well.

I clicked "like" - liked what you said other than the fact that you were actually talking to an Essendon fan ?

Missed a hell of a lot of incorrect disposal throughout the game, both ways. About time for us to get a bit of "luck" especially after the Norf disgrace. He looked mature and composed after half time.......to all his many critics, he does have it in him. Patience needed. Could this be his "breakout (half)game"? Young team, playing without forward structure due to injury to our two best talls........we managed to grab a win when it looked unlikely.......take it and enjoy it. Yes.....frustrating the inconsistency, but then which club has put 4 quarters together on a regular basis this year? All the more kudos to him. Maturing well. Nice change to see a Demon coach with plans b,c and d. Good summation - many HTB and incorrect disposal on both sides. At least we weren't screwed for once.
