  1. Is this April 1st? So basically they are saying that Oliver is a stager. They have impugned his character forever. Unforgivable. Really, if our Dees were going as they had been the past decade, I would be right out of AFL altogether. It is a sham!!
  2. Apparently it makes all the difference. Does that mean if Dusty fronts, Mme Chopsticks will be called and he will get 20 weeks?
  3. After allowing Basher Bachar to get away with 2 for KOing an opponent, it will be hard for the tribunal to do Schofield for more than 1 - it would be so inconsistent -> so it will probably be 4, to maintain their record.
  4. WTF TurnBull, suddenly Swanning around in a Sydney scarf -- how many games of footy has he been to other than when there are votes in it -- as a character witness FCS!! At the moment of impact his character was very poor which is all that is relevant. Maybe we should have wheeled out a character publicity seeking referee for Jesse, who was going through desperately hard times, when he got the same sentence for a 'soft' hits a player who ran out the game and played unimpaired the following week. Astounding and really makes the AFL and their MRP and tribunal an absolute farce. Still, it is being run by Gil so what more can we expect. Maybe TurnBull will reward him with an OA?
  5. Probably concerned re his Brownlow prospects :-)))
  6. ?!?!?! He is and is going to remain our Jack Viney. Not sure of the relevance or similie to the WCE and now Essedon chief pharmacist.
  7. ? I have always been a bit of a fan but must say the timing of this is quite a surprise for me I suspect he will get another game or more soon to show his wares, which is why the timing is a puzzle Still, good luck to him...I trust our management, now
  8. Surely even a graze to the lip or gum would have to be evidence of "low impact" at least, and further the absence of a graze would not be evidence of no impact at all Are they trying to establish that there was no impact as he was charged with low impact? Surely that could be their only defense*, and that would involve accusing not only Clayton of staging but also the doctor of lying. *or are they trying to establish a new level between zero and low? Maybe half a game so he can come on at half time next week? Knowing the vagaries of the MRP wouldn't put it past them.
  9. Even made GAJ pull a sickie rather than face JV.
  10. It has certainly been a challenge for the players and the club, but how well have they managed it? Triumph out of adversity. Well done. A bit like the Bulldogs of 2016? Hope it finishes the same way!! Unlike Bob Murphy, Nathan should be up in time for the action.
  11. I love the use of the term 'insufficient force'. Insufficient for what? To break his jaw? Is that what it takes? How about home games as well? Does Simpson coach? Cunnington taken over Harvey's rôle as North chief sniper?
  12. So would go to two if fails? It will be interesting to hear his defense of elbowing someone off the play, intentionally, high, regardless of injury sustained. Presumably Oliver, and the club doctor will get their chance to have their say.
  13. That would mean all cases as they have proven themselves to be incompetent to judge anything much at all, and as I recall one of their members (?Bartel) admitted as much. Pity he didn't quit. He should.
  14. I missed that. Did Thompson really say that? And Doc's - you should be ashamed of yourselves. Libelous. What a slimy hypocrite And still no emphasis on the fact that there would be no discussion had the frustrated hack not raised his elbow.
  15. Looked (highlights only seen) more Walker than [censored], and didn't see one dive.
  16. No Weid needs more than one good game Anyway, who would you drop?
  17. Yes, very similar (other than their blessed injury run). He does need to change his surname though....Good win is understating. Should be Great win.
  18. Pot......kettle.......black.
  19. And I would be very proud to be totally unbearable especially after four on the trot ?
  20. Could have, should have, would have.........Freo, Richmond, Hawthorn, even North and Cats could have been wins too.......and no points for the bye when clearly we were the better team.
  21. Do the umpires know? Does their advisor / coach know? Does Gil know? He could set up a survey to try to find out.
  22. He couldn't have moved to a nicer club :-) Hey, Brendon, how are the pretzels and the gummy bears, you petulant prjck? And, how is the kicking in going? Years of experience and leadership to the poor young victims of ASADA.
  23. I think that if he is ready, why not? Do you think he will be overawed?? Stupid or bloody minded? I trust the selectors, now. Hope they are sure about Jeffy though if they play him.....cannot afford him being unable to run...would prefer Kent or JKH if Jeffy is not 100%
  24. Your points are largely valid, but given that both players in the Hogan and Lewis incidents played and played OK the following week one cannot help but think that the reports were "embellished" to say the least. That is why I suggested that, if medical "evidence" is relevant in a decision regarding guilt or penalty, maybe it is time for an independent doctor to have a say.
  25. IF the MRP / tribunal system was ever going to be at all independent and professional, they would instigate independent medical reports in relevant cases. SO, won't happen.
