Our current path suggest that we are going to be bottom 4-5 for the next couple of years Why would guys like Scully, Gysberts, Tapscott etc want to stay. Who could blame them, take the Money at GWS and or go home to SA. Then we have no senior players of any worth and lost quality juniors. At this point the eagles model looks a lot better to me.

Mate you must be the ultimate optimist. Wish I could join you but after 46 years of the same crap at the MFC I think I am all worn out. There has been two small windows in the last 45 years that gave any real joy. Northey and ND gave us 5-6 years of having teams with good results. The remaining 40 years have been like this year. God I do not know if I can endure the rest of this year let alone another rebuild / Decade of disappointment. Me too DeeZee We have been saying the same things for 45 years ( with the exception of two small periods ) I look at our side and IMO we are simply not good enough. The really sad thing is that history is repeating itself again and I have no confidence that anything will change anytime soon.

They are all kids that could take another 2 - 3 years before we know if they are the goods. In the mean time the established players are not good enough. you are right Trade him at the end of the saeson like trapper. We may get someting reasonable for him. It will take us 5 years to get a GF at best he will not be there at that point. Get something now if possible.

There is only one player among our senior list that puts in very week. To be captain first you have to justify your position in the team. Moloney does that plus he looks like he cares how we are going. From outside the fence IMO it is not a contest. If green where not the captain would he be playing a Casey next week?
