  1. Guys did Bennell play? If he did play it does not look like he had much of a game. I am worried about this guy he seems to have lost all form and confidence. Is he on the way out? Also does anyone know why Wona did play in either team?
  2. He will be selected next week WD and the reason is because he is the captain. I have been saving for the last month if he was not the captaun he would be at Casey. Next week is against The Eagles and we need some players with experience. I would still drop him however he will survive but surely he does not have much time left. It is a reasonable game or out for mine.
  3. My feeling is that we have another "trapper" in Sylvia. High draft pick who put is some blinders but quite often is among the missing. When we traded Trapper I thought we hade made an error but we got Grimes and Trapper did the same at Brisbane as he had at Melbourne. Now it maybe the same with Sylvia. Is it time to trade him for a high draft pick? I am not sure but it has a familiar smell to it.
  4. BM I was a doubting Thomas last year however 8 weeks ago I admitted my error. Him and Martin are the two bright spots for me this year.
  5. Thank god Nasher I thought I had one red too many. But the problem was I had not opened the bottle
  6. unfortunately I do WYL. You are no doubt right but it Does not seem much of a compensation right now
  7. Does not say much for a few under him does it. I just feel sick to the core for him
  8. Good suggestion Robbief but I just do not see it happening. He just loves the club to much. I have this horrible fear the dees are going to bring him down.
  9. You would doubt any of them would be thinking of long service leave!
  10. Agree and the worrying part for me is it has definately gone backwards since last year.
  11. Mate sorry for being thick but I am not sure what you are trying to tell me? Can you put it a little simpler
  12. Dee-luded most of what you say is correct however I do think it necessarily needs to be an x player of the club. Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn and St Kilda seem to have done fairly well without a x player at the helm. The wrath of everyone will probably decend on me for saying this but here goes. Part of the problem may be our leader Jim. I know he saved the club, not doubt about it. But this year his illness may have kept him out of things more than in the past. Particular the last few months. As a result numerous people have wandered off doing there own thing. With the current result. What we need is a fit Guy at the helm. Now I may be 100% incorrect and yell me at will but I believe Jim's illness has contributed to the problem.
  13. Then why is in the reserves? and I did not say he was a bum just said he has not been flash in the games I have seen. And I wll say it again. If he is good enough he will be back. Derision is a poor form of debate!
  14. I really must be missing something here. I know he would not play this year at AFL level. However if he is not going to play at Casey why bring him back from the NT till Pre season starts. And why did he play last week? So I rang the club to be told " he was feeling a bit off after last weekends game". What does "feeling a bit off" mean? "He just felt a bit off" So did 40 other players and 36000 members. What the hell gives here?
  15. Carlton by 6 goals. That may be a good result after last week.
  16. Hell I would like to know what happened. Seemed strange that Scully came home very early!
  17. Thats $55 000 / point seems a good investment to me!
  18. Agree WD I think it is the best article I have read about the Dees this year. Also the Author knows a bit about what he is talking about. Unlike a lot of the media who are making comment. He has been on the inside in similar circumstances.
  19. Did you see Wona at Training he is not named in either Casey side this weekend. Surely he is not injured or has he gone home again?
  20. Geelong did not go to Arizona and it did not seem to worry them last saturday. Lets get our act together before we start worrying about the USA / China. When we are as good as Geelong I will worry about Arizona
  21. Where is Wona? Not even in the 22 for the reserves. please do not tell me he is injured!
  22. Lets not read too much into this. The few times I have seen him this year I thought he put in only ordinary performances. If you did not know he was our no.1 pick you would have assumed he was just a young guy trying to get a game with Casey. Add the very ordinary result by Casey against the Cats last week and he is demoted. Says to me that we may have started playing guys on their merits and not on reputation. Sounds positive to me. If he is good enough he will be back. I never saw him playing at AFL level before well into 2012 but probably 2013.
  23. Spot on Thomo, pity though that we did not take Darling!
  24. While all you say is true please don't tell me the problems with our playing group are the result of playing one game in Darwin. We turned in a number of crap performances long before the Darwin game. The Geelong game was just waiting to happen IMO
  25. I agree 100% e25 I have read this story a dozen times and for the life of me I cannot see anything in it. And the photo is a disgrace. Next we will have him scratching his bum while picking up the morning paper off the lawn. And they wonder why people get upset with the media!
