  1. Would be interesting to see our forward structure if Hogan does miss this week. Last season when he missed against Geelong I thought our forward structure performed the most effective and competent it's been for years
  2. If TMac does want out, there may be a possibility of a straight swap there.
  3. Where do think we would be if we beat sides like St Kilda And Port?
  4. A couple of seasons ago Watts was moved around a lot and was confused like a headless chook. His accomplished versatility shows how much he has matured this season and he will be the true champion he has always promised if he continues like this next season. No post re-signing slacking off either which is very encouraging.
  5. A many decades old problem for us. Pizz weak losing culture and player hubris getting above themselves thinking they can mix it with the elites and shun the plebs. We are the effing plebs. So if we want to rise we better learn to win the winnable games first before we tackle the tough opponents.
  6. Well, we did beat Geelong last season without him.
  7. He should stop demanding his teamates to constantly bomb the ball to the top of his head.
  8. I'm convinced he's Gawn now. Just been making Frawley time the last few weeks.
  9. Deck chairs out, deck chairs in.
  10. That's because Hogan can only reliably kick for goal 20 metres out in front of goal.
  11. I only know we won because I heard the team song at the end.
  12. Watts is our best forward and defender all at once. The only player who can dispose of the poor properly too.
  13. We were competitive last week. I was impressed by our effort. So no bloody excuses.
  14. The mind boggles to what kind of excuses will be brought up by apologists if we lose. There is just no way I could accept a loss today.
  15. No reason why he could not play from the interchange bench. Would make a handy impact player. There must be other reasons.
  16. Bit pointless really. Mainly because there is no meaningful comparison between the 1997-2006 team and the 2007-2016 team. Like chalk and cheese.
  17. The frustrating thing is we been starting well early in most of the games we have lost recently.
  18. Unfortunately there will be no mummy on the field to hold our players blessed little hands. They just have to tough it out on their own.
  19. We could beat the Hawks if they decide to treat us as a practice game. But we are likely to beat ourselves before the game has started. I doubt we can beat Carlton. They are playing like they really want to win and history shows we usually crumble to sides with desire irrespective of form and ability. The Suns we have to beat but no gimme as they have won a few recently. Forget about the others. Many posters have argued we have come from a long way back but year zero was now four seasons ago. A major disappointment has been from experienced players not performing for various reasons. At least 3 or 4 of Dunn, Garland, Lamumba, Dawes, Grimes and Trengove should have been part of a solid core group by now. All are ready for delisting. TMac and Hogan who are projected to be our key bookends appear to be biding their time and their future with us is unclear. Yes we have a lot of promissing young players but that has been the case since 2009. And many do not progress after their first or second season. In reality we are having another rebuild inside the Roos rebuild. It will be galling if our best win of the season turns out to be round one which appears to be the case. We have gone backwards since then.
  20. That stuff should be in the book.
  21. No! That's the players when they see you walking in the room.
  22. No publisher will allow a biography to go out these days without any sensational or salacious stuff especially about a boring footballer like Boomer. What can one write about him? His diet, clean habits, hard training and work ethic? Outside of footy there is likely not much else remarkable about his life. All a big yawn. Even Marilyn Monroe's biographer had to make up up stuff about her to make her biography more saleable.
  23. The Tigers remind me of the the pathetic effort we put in against the Bulldogs this time last season.
  24. Jacko looks like the type of guy who if he perceives persons as a threat for whatever reason he can be real nasty to them. If no threat he can be very nice. No inbetween with him. He would be tough work for a shrink to sort out.
  25. What's with the ruck rules? One can stick a knee or boot into an opponents chest to block him but not a hand.
