Sure, but as I said he's been very average by his standards the whole year. I'm judging him by the entirety of the whole year, as opposed to cherry picking form from one match.
How can you judge over a WHOLE year after 6 rounds? Are you a seer?

Looking past the disposal count in games, he's been very average by his standards the whole year (I'm not suggesting he's past it though, by any stretch). But to say he was 'killing it' this year, even prior to injury, is viewing his season with a high amount of recency bias with regards to his previous seasons.
He did get 9 coaches votes in a game before his injury so he hasn't been what you call average the WHOLE year. Some very over critical posters on this forum I reckon.

How rude you are to question Clarry after 150 good games and he was not at or near his best (like about 5/6 others). Players are human and to see him do all that work and you openly ( or sarcastically) ask about a trade?
please don’t contribute if you dishonour a champion so horrendously because you are in a shi..y mood. And the forwards were poor but again not necessarily as disinterested as you assert.
Well spoken 58er. Talk about lack of loyalty and respect for one of the best players to pull on a Melbourne jumper. Maybe your disappointment tonight outweighed your logical thinking.

How much did I win?
Would like to think $50,000,000 at the very least Jack. All your so many wonderful contributions to this forum should amount to that. Go and buy your ticket mate. I will take a cut of 1%. Cheers.

There is no apostrophe in Brisbane
There certainly is. JACK'S win in the lottery. BRISBANE'S win in the footy. Possessive pronouns. Got it?

His rundown tackle was sublime. There’s some familiarities about this kid, just the way he moves. Caleb and Judd Mc are silky smooth with skill and time. ❤️💙
Caleb has been given the perfect playing number. Number 6.This number was owned by Bluey Adams, the fastest Demon I have seen. Maybe only up until now with Caleb 's speed electrifying.

Agree. Hore needs to come in for Bowey - we need to be able to keep Salem in the midfield. Woey jnr doesn’t help with that, though I’d be happy for him to replace any of Laurie, Spargo or Billings.
Agree on Hore call. Kate!

Very balanced comments after a loss Joeboy. Sometimes there is nothing positive after a loss but not in this report. Good work Joeboy.

His first season he definitely did. Since then I would say no.
Are you sure about that? Didn't he have a top game in in his first appearance?

Captain courageous Angus! That ever so brave diving mark in the GF was so typical of Gus. The perfect shot for goal and unbridled celebration was the catalyst for the burst of goals which followed. Thank you Gus and we hope your enforced retirement will spur the rest of the team to a premiership with a goal after the siren to beat Collingwood by a point. This was from a free kick following a Maynard indiscretion. Wouldn't that be absolute perfection?
Thanks mate for all you did for the MFC and for your loyalty. You were a true champion.

Reminds me of Cam Bruce in that he runs his guts out in every single game. Supremely fit like Bruce and with stamina to burn. Read what Maxy says about him in his book. Such a team player being first to congratulate a team mate. Thanks Alex. You are an inspiration to the team by personal example.

That grand final goal! Never forget it. Huge kick off one step with three opponents streaming at him from all directions. What composure and what a powerful kick. The adrenaline was really flowing here. Love his toughness too.
Just looked again at the scene. FOUR opponents not three! I got the all directions right though.

Great to hear this news. Jemma is a lovely looking girl and her football skills look classy. She would give Bannan a run for her money too with her pace. Her dad Guy was not just a 100 plus Demon but a bloody good footballer too.

Grundy was a valuable and productive member of the team early, especially when Max Gawn was injured but the dream combination stuttered after the skipper returned and was abandoned in the final third of the season. Gawn produced his best when rucking solo and Grundy moved on to the Swans.
Wish him all the best at Sydney. Ironic that he is the November man on the MFC calendar 2024.

Very true words Norm. Kate is an absolute jewel with her leadership, skills, and always going to a team mate with a wonderful smile full of encouragement and praise. She certainly leads by example and thoroughly deserves to be All Australian Captain. Huble and modest too.

About a dozen times this year she’s got the fumbles or missed simple goals running in to open shots when pressure from behind.
She’s 95% there but for a captain there’s another level required.
Our star players this year fell short. That’s Hore, Harris, Zanker (pre q4), Hanks (more of a rotation mid), Purcell, Gay.
They have to go up a level to match the oppositions stars.
"About a dozen times this year" That's ONE per match. Not too bad really is it? She is an excellent captain and is loved by her teammates. Leads by example too and you can't do much more than that. Are you really saying she is not a good leader?

Kate Hore is a bit soft when there’s pressure on her at ground level, she should’ve ate Emonson in that contest before. Not Banno level soft but room for improvement
Kate Hope soft????? She is tough and throws herself into packs adding strength to her obvious skills. Very harsh comment citing just one incident which I didn't notice. You are a hard marker. You don't be multiple All Australians being so called soft. Chill mate!

For people having a sook about Eddie McGuire, it was the Barrasi family that actually specifically requested Eddie to MC the event as he is a very close friend of Ron and the family.
Regardless of what you think of Ed, respect his family wishes in all of this.
It was indeed a beautiful service.
Barassi One R and two S's. Not being nasty, mate just pointing out the correct spelling of our legend's name. You have quite a few mates who spell it wrongly too. Have a good day and let's hope our Demon girls have a win today. Cheers.

Wonderful service. I watched the whole show from far away Perth and enjoyed it very much having watched regularly the great man in my youth. Played in a practice match trying for a game for the Melbourne thirds (under 19s). I was on the same team as Ron and he fed me at least 3 perfect handpasses. I didn't make the final list despite his help though. On the only negative side, I thought that maybe one of his old Demons mates like Brian Dixon might have been asked to say a few words. Maybe he declined.
