Christ it is a young team.
-
I'm sticking with it. Although I'm bit annoyed that @hulkweed has been taken as a Twitter handle.
-
Haha..revealing.
-
I don't recall seeing it on the menus I perused over there. Must have been one of the more dimly lit cafes.
-
A genuine insider it seems. Handy

I respect your views but disagree on this one. Harmes is a fairly recent addition to the backline. It can be reshuffled. Newton can play all over the ground and is in good form. I'd see how he and/or Michie goes, albeit against a strong opponent so they'd likely go in and out. I accept the coaches have their favourites so am expecting Harmes to be named.
-
If we turn it over like we did against the Suns, Hawthorn will savage us. That's their game, essentially. Punishing mistakes.
-
lol..Harmes the irreplaceable. He was the only player on the ground not to lay a single tackle last week. How ever will we find someone else to replicate that and keep Hawthorn's forwards to account? He might be able to find it but he's a woeful kick and decisonmaker. It's the same passes to players at a standstill, over heads and to player's feet every week. He has assets, speed and marking especially, but he should be playing at Casey.
-
I'm gonna lose it if Harmes is named again. Should be the first out.
-
Hopefully he can snag a couple. Would be nice to get the fear started over the Hulkweed combination in years to come #hulkweed

Agree wth the first part. Not the second. We should be able to give half likes I think your expectations were set too high if you think we haven't gotten value out of Bugg.

This is an unbelievably stupid drive by not worthy of response, but I'll respond anyway given I'm assuming I'm one of the ones you're referring to as a defender of Grimes, who you have relentlessly and obsessively talked down. No, I don't think Grimes has been best served by the club over his career, including and in particular this year. And yes I do maintain he is a better player than what he gets presented as on this forum. I hope he gets another chance in 2017. He may not, as being let go by Melbounre is a difficult tag to shake, but he is an AFL standard player in my view with plenty of years left in him. As an overall statement, if you are comparing what Jack Grimes has proven on the football field over his 100 games with what Majak Daw has proven, I have no words for you.
-
If you can park the fact it is Hawthorn, they really haven't played ominous Hawthorn type footy for most of the year. It is an unimpressive string of results for a team sitting in top position. Less than one goal victories over the Dogs, Saints, Crows and Swans, with the Saints and Swans games in particular being decided by highly contentious umpiring decisions The only teams they've smacked have been the insipid ones. The Giants spanked them. Carlton gave them a scare last week, With our yo yo form, we are a silly chance.

Sam MaClure- "Hibberd to Melbourne, 4 year deal"
P-man replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
I really want to laugh this off but after what we gave up for Melksham, it makes me nervous. That deal set a precedent. Which is why I hated it then and still am not fully at peace with it. God I hate dealing with [censored] Essendon. -
With a gun pointed to my head I'd choose..... Ah hell just gimme the bullet.
-
He looked to be moving reasonably okay on the weekend. He isn't fast and never will be but it wasn't the concrete boots of old. His AFL outings have been in pretty poor conditions not suited to a player who isn't overly fast to begin with. Get another pre-season into him and see what happens. Next year is make or break though I think.

Roos has been enormous for the club, but the time is right to move onto the next chapter. Let the Goody times roll...* *I regret nothing

Sam MaClure- "Hibberd to Melbourne, 4 year deal"
P-man replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
I cannot understand this line of thinking. Hibberd has more runs on the board than Melksham. To date he has shown he is a superior player in almost every respect bar leg speed. Seeing will be believing with Melksham. Of the other names you reel off, the only ones that leap out are Salem and Hunt. The rest are not certainties to be around long term imo. Surely you would concede that we desperately need more class and composure by foot? Hibberd provides this along with other assets. The gamble is how damaged he is by the Essendon saga but I'd take that gamble. A second round pick would be worth it, if it came down to that. -
He would be a worthy addition to the 2017 LG.
-
Have to disagree re Dunstall. I think he genuinely wants to see Melbourne on the up. Some of the snow comments were quite funny. "Stamp my lift ticket!" actually made me laugh out loud. He was ultimately trying to be empathetic to supporters. Out of 2017 and 2018, I'm leaning more towards 2018, pending on who gets picked up in the off season.
-
Towards the end of the show they asked when Melbourne would play finals, King and Dunstall said 2018. Brown said next year and rated the young talent level the best after GWS.

6. Watts Daylight 5. Stretch - other than the horrible oof he was our most classy ball user by a street 4. Frost 3. Petracca 2. Hunt 1. Tyson - another mixed bag. He needs to use it a lot better for such a prolific ball winner.
