  1. lol The disdain some supporters have for Grimes is ridiculous. Embarrassing actually.
  2. They seemed to be taking the [censored] out of Terlich for the most part.
  3. Spot on. Was played in a forward pocket in that Saints game too. Far from done at AFL level.
  4. Daniel, Weitering, Fantasia and Petracca would all be ahead of Oliver in the RS. Could be a few others.
  5. 53 point lead. Smashed them in the end.
  6. Holy hell, Essendon not only made the finals but are leading Geelong in the EF? Casey absolutely destroyed them.
  7. Casey Radio are on the Terlich bandwagon.
  8. "That's holding the ball. It was Colin Garland. I think he forgot he was Colin Garland."
  9. They picked the top three intercept markers in the league. T Mac is quite strong in that area so if it's now the criteria of choic then he's in with a shot next season. The only howler was Boyd. Credit to him for playing at a high level as a 34 year old but a lot of his game was based around cheap possessions in the backline without an opponent. Simpson to me would've been a more worthy selection. Jack Steven was also very stiff to miss out and was worthy of a bench spot. One of those two ahead of Boyd and I think they pretty much nailed it this year.
  10. Was there an official announcement that he wouldn't be at the club next year in any capacity? If there was I missed it. That does seem pretty obviously to be the case though.
  11. I don't see the point in being petty over this. Give them Pick 1 if need be. Any club is more deserving of it than Essendon.

    Delistings

Delist: Terlich, Newton, White, King FA: Grimes 50/50 on Dawes and I'd keep Michie for another year personally (shouldn't surprise anyone).
  13. Never been in Fremantle's leadership group that I'm aware of. To put that into perspective, even Ballantyne got a gig in 2013. Has also chucked the sads when playing half forward. If we're to bring in another experienced inside mid, I'd prefer they be an asset to the club in other ways. We are short on leaders. We are not short on inside mids. I'm open to the idea because he's a quality player, but he isn't addressing the greatest needs.
  14. Have you been dreaming of the past?
  15. You have been on fire of late.
  16. Richmond BF board also has suggestions he's been playing different roles in the VFL and AFL sides (defence in the twos, forward in the seniors). Which needless to say is not ideal.
  17. I wasn't suggesting having Hibberd in the side on the weekend would've changed the result. More senior leaders over the course of the year should however result in less players being totally spent by the end of it. If we can find someone younger with suitable leadership qualities, great. I haven't seen many great candidates being thrown around as yet.
  18. I think one of the issues faced in the next period of development is too much being left to too few in terms of leaders on the ground, exacerabted by the likes of Dunn and Garland being squeezed out of the side. The Geelong game wouldn't have happened if we had more leaders to share the load and guide the younger crop. Hopefully Hibberd brings some leadership traits to the table but I don't think he's well known for that. If Thompson was to take up the spot of a player on the edge of the 22 in 2017 I'd be okay with it. Development at Casey isn't the worst thing in the world. I think it's highly unlikely to happen though, given what we've seen this season with selections.
  19. What talented youngsters are left at Tiggerland? Legit question. Rioli, Vlastuin maybe.....and? Prestia is off his nut going there. The place is a complete shambles.
  20. I get why the age puts people off. To my mind every year we can essentially plug wth senior players like this is another year of development into the Viney/Tyson/Brayshaw generation on their path to taking over rmantle which hopefully isn't far away. I think we have natural leaders at the club now. They are just young. I don't see Thompson leaving but he'd be a great person and player to have at the club right now.
  21. Re that best 22. That forward line (bar Kent) with Hogan and Weed was trialled in the last two weeks. Against Geelong it operated at 35% efficiency from inside 50s and was equally lacklustre the week before. Do you see it as being fully competitive come Round 1 2017 without a Pedersen type, i.e. a more experienced big bodied forward who can hold his own in marking contests and provide protection for Hogan and others?
  22. Jesus christ no.
  23. Yes from me, purely because we are still playing catch up with the senior leadership void.
  24. Comparison with Demonland Official (Official rank in brackets) 1. Gawn 2. Viney 3. Watts (4) 4. N Jones (3) 5. Tyson 6. Vince 7. Jetta (8) 8. T McDonald (7) 9. Hogan (10) 10. Hunt (9) 11. Kennedy (12) 12. Stretch (14) 13. O McDonald 14. Garlett (11) 15. Petracca 16. Kent (17) 17. Bugg (16) 18. Oliver (19) 19. Salem (18) 20. Frost
