Sam has been on 'high alert' twice. Against Essendon he was ready (until 5 pm) when Bennell was declared fit. Last Saturday he was strapped up ready to replace Mc Donald. Sam must come in this week.
A person VERY close to Tom Scully told me 2 weeks ago that Tom has signed nothing and that Tom's management have had NO talks what so ever with GWS. Here's hoping!
I don't know Tom personally but I do speak to someone VERY close to him from time to time. As of two weeks ago, I was told that Tom has had no discussions with GWS (nor has his management). Tom is very close to his family. This should work in our favour. I wouldn't worry about Mike's comments.
As far as injuries are concerned, footballers fall into 3 categories.
1. Always injured
2. Occasionally injured
3. Never injured
R. Campbell, category 1.
I have recently (yesterday) had contact with one of our players. He is a close friend of TS. He says that he would bet his last dollar that TS has not signed with GWS. No one can be certain whether or not his management has talked to GWS but this player doubts it very much.
He also says: TS 'loves' the MFC, TS is a very close to his family and that his commitment to improving his game is unbelievable.
None of this guarantees anything, but it is all positive feedback.

I taught Chris Knights in secondary school 5 or so years ago. Last year I taught his twin brother and sister. They told me 12 months ago that Chris wants to return to Victoria for season 2011. I do not think Melbourne would or should be interested.
Please don't call this show a documentary. I trust tonight will be more analytical. The show was interesting but undoubtably glamourised the drug culture surrounding Ben Cousins. Ben was young, wealthy, good looking, fit and highly supported. Most of the key sub-plots were not developed. How did Ben's relationship with other WCE players change over the years? Did he influence other players to take drugs? What was the real relationship between BC and Chris Mainwaring? By the way, it's very easy to put your family through absolute hell then 10 or 15 years later state: 'Dad's my best mate.' I really feel sorry for Ben's parents.
