  1. I’ve got a lot of Melbourne game AFL Records dating from 1997 to 2003.

A couple have autographs, notably Robbie Flower and Jim Stynes, though I particularly like the one from Neil “Froggy” Crompton which included his mobile no.

There’s a list below, a long list. If anyone is interested in any I’ll be keeping them for a couple more weeks, then they hit the recycle bin. Perhaps I’ll keep the autographed ones if no-one else wants them.

Please feel free to email me [email protected].

Thanks.  That looks like the notice for the 2015 AGM.

Even so, I believe the requirement is for members to be individually advised in writing (paper or electronic) and provided with a copy of the Agenda and other stuff.  For example Richmond's is here.   http://www.richmondfc.com.au/club/about/annual-general-meeting and it lists the extra stuff.

It seems AGM communications have been a bit clumsy this year going on poster's experiences above.

Yes, realised as soon as I posted I'd included the wrong link, hence the almost immediate edit to my post. Looks like I wasn't quite quick enough for some eagle eyes.

  3. Found AGM info on the club website without problem as I do each year. Not quite sure why you're all pulling your hair out when the required information is there for all to see as required.

  4. So much for we have improved ,we are being fed total garbage.this team is a repeat of every Melbourne side since 2006 . We have not heart no desire no pride in the club . When a first year player shows the way tries with no support says it all . They are a bunch of overpaid pre madonnas and I can see the demise of this club if this goes on. Roos was outcoached as well. The game plan is years old and will not get us any where

"Prima Donna" was what you were looking for. Sorry but tonight I can't put up with wording/grammar mistakes. I've done it for years on end and tonight I refuse. Sorry it was you.

  5. Goodes is booed because he was Australian of the Year and he didn't toe the party line and chant 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!'

He said some truths that made s lot of people very angry to hear.

An absolute champion of the game and a great of the modern era.

    seriously?

  6. - The major focus of the broadcast today was just how wonderful the crows, their venue and their supporters all are. I wish someone would have had the BALLS to tell the truth and mention how fitting it is to have the last game play out like that: with the crows getting prime quality silver service from the umpires. Ah the memories, so many dodgy frees, so many undeserved wins. Could you believe it when Pedo got a free in the last quarter and they all went nuts booing!? Absolute minimum of 6 goals they cost us, what a friggin disgrace. In the last there was a free against Frawley (it was never shown even in replay, and the commentators didn't even mention it all) and you could hear Chip say to the ump 'you're killing us mate, you're absolutely killing us'.

    - I don't think I have ever wanted a commentary box to burst into flames as much as I did today. What a pack of douchebags. They offer no valuable insight or analysis, are incredibly biased against Melbourne and talk more carp than I have ever heard. 'Sloane's got the golden locks but he plays hard footy'.. 'who will be the last player to be falconed at this ground' 'did you kinow the record for most individual goalkickers is intact' .. of my favourite line of the day re: the Mexican wave.. it is good to see ppl support something in football that originated in Mexico.. yeah fantastic, brilliant, topical, amusing comments there fhead... OMG. If ever see 'Baz' in person I am going to kick him in the face that absolute tool.

    - As usual we enjoyed not one but two periods of the books completely stopping to conceded an avalnche of goals. It must be part of our punishment for them to show they can match it with anyone for 50-75% of a football game and get absolutely murdered in the other parts. This is clearly a mental/emotional syndrome and that is all you need to know about whether or not Craig should be any chance of staying on.

-Grimes FFS you clanger machine. M.Jones, Viney gave us zero. Another 2 kicks for Jordie. Tapscott, Pederson hopeless. With Rodan out early you can't have that much fail in one side.

hurry up and end you steaming terrd of a season

Never been a thief in my life, but, stole your second paragraph and sent it to the afl. Well hope I sent it to the afl, because it's probably the best paragraph I've read on here in two years.

  7. Still leaves me shattered even after all these years Woey leaving but makes me love him even more that he doesn't hold grudges against the MFC only Daniher. As for Scully I truly do not care he will never win a Brownlow or tear a game apart so at best he is a bit part player who can play a role at GWS and we got more than enough compensation for him.

Not sure how it's possible to even put Woey in the same sentence, breath, life, world, existence with the no 1 p_ick, Woey's a Demon great and a great Demon, then there's the p_ick.

  8. What actually irks me is that no-one at our footy club seems to have the balls to be a villain anymore. Seriously, i may belong in a different era (although not much - retired from footy 4 hears ago aged 35), but why doesn't anyone want to cop the 4 week ban for knocking the little pr1ck into tomorrow. Just a good old fashioned shirt front would do it. No need for Barry Hall type king hits. if he left Hawthorn or Essendon in the same manner he'd be lucky to leave any return game with intact ribs. Our club is soft at present, where are the hard bodied, hard at it types that win footy games in the trenches - reckon our recruiting strategy would have been a lot different if I was involved

Weigh it up....them -v- us. them (paycheque) -v- us (love), me lots of beer.

  9. Just to be clear at this point in the clubs development this doesn't make you a fearless supporter, it makes you the equivalent of a whipping girl.

We are being taken for fools and enough is enough. I've never felt the anger of a crowd like I did yesterday. It made me proud to be amongst a group that collectively stood together and said we aren't going to tolerate this anymore.

I said it yesterday and I'll keep saying it until we improve: Don't be afraid to demand more. It's the only way we'll get better.

If that's the case then I've been the equivalent to a whipping girl for nigh on 54 years.

As I said I had my say in the email I sent to the club last night, and yes I demanded more

    .

  10. Count me out of your 99%.

As bad as I felt after yesterday and still feel today, there's not a bone in my body or a red a blue blood cell running through my veins that would make me get anywhere near the negative and pessamistic sentiments I read on here daily.

I Love my club and support 100% those that run it at present. I've sent off my email telling them what I think.

My first and last bagging happened yesterday at the ground when I actually offended myself by bagging my own team like a "rabid" supporter of any other club.

I'll keep on reading Demonland and sometimes I'll agree with what I read.

When I don't, and I;ve had enough to drink, I'll post an answer.

    Here I am.

    Go Dees. First & Forever

  11. "Much disrespect shown to Brad Green by playing the Adelaide theme song while he was being chaired from the ground. Thanks MCC"

Posted this message on MCC Facebook page last night and received this reply.

Melbourne Cricket Club Hi Kathleen. Thanks for the feedback. We agree with you. While the scoreboard operators were right to play the winning team's song after the game, which is the directive from the AFL, the decision to play it during Brad Green's departure from the field was inappropriate. We'll be discussing this with them in our event review.

  12. No matter how good your intentions are results will at the end of the day determine your coaching future.

It took primus just under 2 years to fall on his sword.

I can't see neeld getting too much more than that for a similar scenario to happen.

Let's hope for all concerned that the result for 2013 improves.

    Get a life

  13. Just musing about setting a precedence, will we be funding criminal cases for all employees in future, what about members.

I am hopeful the case will be funded out of his contract, plus the numerous airfares and accommodation, taxis and meals costs for support peoples.

If he's innocent, well and good, hope he may pay us back one day on the footballing fields.

All I have to say on the matter.

    go away bluey

  14. I would not credit MFC stats, you probably are correct, but correct ball usage is paramount, to be third gatherer at our club, oh well.

Ah Bluey, welcome to Demonland.Been to a Melbourne game yet this year?

  15. This is my take!

We are the poorest performing Victorian club!

We have gone backwards dramatically from last season!

We have not had a successful coach in 50 years!

We have recruited very badly for years!

We cannot seem to recruit superstars...!!!

We always have long injury lists and dont have depth!!

This list is very poor given that previous half decent lists had less coaches, shyte facilties and so on!!!

As a club - we are irrelevant in AFL circles. Our list is simply bad. AND THE CLUB DRAINS IT SUPPORTERS OF ANY ENERGY LEFT TO SUPPORT YEAR IN YEAR OUT. IN A NUTSHELL - ABSOLUTE GUTSFULL OF LOSING!!

    Talk about "glass half empty
