Great reports guys, also nice to hear a lot more support for the boys.Even better. if we had more there than the filth. I would have got down there, but I'm in the bunker with my 2 pallets of popcorn. One wall is taken up with a 10'x8' of Robbie, anyone know what time the world ends?? I need to set my alarm so I dont sleep through it. This mayan farce may turn out to be about as accurate as kero wilsons reports. Like her they will back track a bit and have a 2nd & 3rd punt on getting it right. Whats the bet, the world ends the day before the finals, when we are red hot favourites for our 13th flag. -

Any wonder the greyhounds got a bad wrap, too much monkey business.

Unless my memory is playing tricks with me. Wasnt the trots (harness racing) and the dishlickers racing also held there?.

I doubt very much that the AFL will be quivering in their boots from the MFC threathening to go to court over this,if need be. I will be more worried about it all blowing up in their faces and thats on the cards. Finally instead of hiding in the office, and ducking bullets, the MFC has stood up, drawn both guns, and said you made your move,if need be, we are prepared to blow your head off. From where I sit, we have finally grown some balls, I hope they follow through,if need be, or anyone else that decides to use us as a punching bag and a soft target to whack. We can speculate all we want, until the MFC have had time to review then defend what has been presented. They weigh up their options, deliver their response and we sit tight until the next round gets under way. McLardy has made their intentions known, that is to defend the club and employees. I still believe (I'd like to believe), the AFL hasnt got much to go on. It will depend on what facts they have, that we arent privvy to. Just about everything else.. $cumbag leaving, the vault. anything else has been leaked to the media in the past. So far what have we got?? I flippant remark that is going to be used to hang us,and or CC. I cant see it happening. There must be more they have, but what? and it better be better than an off the cuff comment, from someone probably making light of a bad season. Who, by the way, didnt make a statement to the media, as some from other clubs have done, and are on record for comments about getting priority picks,by ensuring they didnt win games. The MFC being victimized comes to mind, that alone in a workplace doesnt go over well. Throw in being bullied for answers?? The AFL is skating on thin ice. Lets not bring up certain clubs, pulling on the handbrake as to get a home game in finals.

For a triple point answer and a holiday in the Greek islands my answer is = Olympic Park After Hogan played his 1 only game there, the joint was doomed. Well afterall it did go to the dogs. WJ might want to confirm that is correct.

We circle the wagons and dig in. I still think if all they have is an off the cuff comment, its pretty lame When in the past, known clubs that set the std before our turn came. There are statements to the media openingly admitting their intentions or admitted to putting the cue in the rack. This is what has gets me pi$$ed off, more than the AFL doing an investigation on us. They cant use us as the scapegoat, without charging the other clubs that already have admitted to their sins. A level playing field for all. They give us a slap over the wrist,or they go all out on us and past culprits. I would be disappointed if any member of the MFC is hung out to dry over this. Hope commonsense prevails, we get a kick up the bum, and its put to bed.

Do I score .5 of a pt for the correct year? I was all over it with the 3rd clue. The 3rd clue should have been the 2nd clue and the 4th clue should have been the 1st clue. Then my 1st guess would have had a chance of getting somewhat close to being correct. In fact I think I could have nailed it IF your clues were swapped around. As it was, I was throwing darts at names and hoping for the best Whats the next one? 1st clue : I wore long sleeves? lol You're a tough quiz master. But doing well hosting. Having fun doing it I hope? If anyone else wants to chair the quiz after WJ is done ,PM me, or put your name forward in this thread and I'll add you to the roster.

The doomsayers have the world ending in a few days. The AFL are going to miss the boat on this one, Times up! In the meantime i've stocked piled up on the popcorn.I'll watch either event from my comfy chair.

It would be easlier giving names and addresses of those that died on the titanic, than what we have got so far. Dan Cunningham (1932) (never heard of him either)

Most times you can tell when you are being spun a line. Or you get the usual 'we are taking one week at a time'. Mark Neeld came across as sincere, He added they (the players) have a way to go, but they realise they cant load them up with too much work load, or they will be dropping like flies, and or getting injured. he wasnt playing it down (optimisic) I got an honest answer on where we are at. Its going to take time. I was hoping he would say they are where he wants them. But he didnt, he told it as it was. He spoke to me like we knew each other well. No putdowns or an abrupt tone. He greeted me 1st, I was a bit taken back, as I wasnt expecting to be noticed. But I did stand out like a sore thumb. I get the feeling they appriecate supporters making the effort to observe training. If anyone can make an effort to get to training, even if its means putting yourself out a little, I am positive it wont go unnoticed by the staff or the players. If the timing is right, you can have a quick chat with the fitness coaches , players and Mark Neeld. In this point in time, is when they need support and encouragement. Instead of 5 people we got 50, we could fast track their progress. We'll get that easly when they are successful and winning games. But right now, if anyone can, I encourage them to make a effort, and show their support at training. I spoke to Trenners, one of his 1st questions to me was, I suppose you have been through all the bad times? So they do care, they realise we are overdue, they are doing their best to retify it.

I didnt know he was involved in a car accident, or perhaps it slipped my memory over time. I remember Robert Rose, Bob Roses' son)and the truama he went through also after a car accident. Had a big future playing cricket and, ...... nah lets leave it there. I cant bring myself to think where he might play footy.

Whoever suggested it was going to be a light session, got it horribly wrong. It wasn't the hardest I have been to but it was no fun run either. I spotted Trenners in his new shoe attire, also on crutches. The bright side, is it will help build his upper body walking around with the aid of crutches. Today's session consisted of a few warm up laps, then some ball movement broken into two groups and firing handballs towards a running player. It was done in a way that they would do the drill in a clockwise movement, fire handballs as quickly as possible, with the player that gave the handball, putting light pressure on the receiver before he gave it off. It was fast and sharp with not many fumbles. Another session was concentrating on a match sim, the backs clearing from the backline to a leading player, or if that option wasnt on, then he should divert it ,to across the ground to the opposite halfback flank, then they player would look upfield to pass to another on the half forward flank, who in turn would take a bounce, and pass to a leading foward. This drill was a practice moving the ball, quickly and accurately from the backline to a the forwards. Again the skills were good, but with no pressure, I would expect it to go well. The last session I got to see before leaving early, was they had the players in 3 groups. One group practising defensive skills, like a high ball coming in the punching the ball towards the boundrary. Another group were the mids, they were running through a drill, from a tapout to firing a handball to a 'running' player. (Note: Not to someone standing flat footed as we have witnessed in the past) then that player would handball 20 mtrs to 2 players players heading towards the goals. Looked good under no pressure. if they get that drilled into them often enough we might see some decent centre clearances. The 3rd group were doing a drill where the ball was thrown up by one of the coaches, 2 players contesting, then tapped down to be scouted by a running small and then have a running shot on goal. If all the above was considered a light run, in the Bailey are, it would have been a hard hitout. Overall a good session, and concentrated mostly on ball movement from one end to the other. Most had some decent colour, looked to me they had been sunning their time away elsewhere in the country. Blease must have been locked up inside all day, still looked pale: sunscreen factor 50+ for young Sam. The latest rumour ... I shouldn't spread rumours, right? Apparently, they had to put down a croc after it broke all of its teeth, trying to latch onto J.Viney. Urban myth? In closing, I had a quick chat to the coach, he still thinks we have a way to go before he considers them to be at a level fitness-wise where he thinks they should be. More games etc. but was very happy with everyone's progress thus far. Just even up the ledger. No 12 wasnt holding back, he looked fit and was involved and doing well. I thought I'd throw that in, as the last time I watched he wasn't doing a lot. To make a proper assessment I want to see how they stand up against some opposition. Will it all fall apart or are we going to take what we practice into a real game? They have made some big inroads into me being confident next year, but I've been down this path before. But I like what I am seeing. Everyone have a safe and wonderful Xmas and New Year.

Sad news. in his prime he was the best commentors in this country,if not worldwide. We will never forget his interview with the great Norm Smith. But even before that and long after, he was well respected and much liked in his field. Condolences to his family and close friends. May he rest in peace.
