There are a handful of players I could throw in the mix, a couple for one reason or another will HAVE to step it up this year or they may find themselves looking for a new home next year. Some just for the fact we will be forced to adjust the list. ATM I have a soft spot for Pickles, he is a likeable lad, determined, and hasnt had a good run with his back injuries etc. Add to the fact he moved from W.Aust if that wasnt unsettling enough, all though his ordeal he could have easly pulled the pin and gone home. But everytime I see him training,he is putting in 100% to get fitter. He has got some good pace and hard at it. Game time is what he requires, and perhaps he will surprise.

For some, the biggest event on the calendar Not unlike a Melbourne Cup, turned for home then hit Flemington straight,it was neck and neck only to be beaten in a photo finish I am .....? Who am I ......... (3rd Clue) I share the same surname as another player. But we are not related He is playing in the State where I lived. I am .....? Who am I ......... (4th Clue) In the 2010 Nat Draft I came close to being No1 pick. Jesse my sister ran in the 2012 Olympic marathon. I am .....? Ans = Jack Trengove, from....Prince Alfred College and Sturt Football Club Originally from Naracoorte, near the Victorian border in south-east of South Australia, Trengove worked his way quickly through the junior ranks with Kybybolite and then moved to Adelaide to attend school at Prince Alfred College. While completing high school Trengove played in the SANFL, with the Sturt Football Club. He played the last half of the season with the senior Sturt side while juggling college football with Prince Alfred College. Trengove also captained the South Australian state team, in the 2009 AFL National Under 18 Championships in which he starred earning a spot in the All Australian Team. Trengove had a best-on-ground performance in the preliminary final against Glenelg, including a match-saving mark in defence.

None correct yet. After I generously narrowed it down to roughly a few hundred players from a list of over 1200. Next clue (if needed) approx midday tomorrow. I wont give any * HINTS *,as its unfair to those that have posted their guess. Some good guesses so far. Edit :changed the wording to 'hints'

The 2013 opening clue has been toughened up a bit lets see 10 bucks at approx 200/1 might be a nice windfall.

Neita DID begin as a forward, Because of the OX, Lyon, etc he went down back,and killed it down there, Later was moved back to the forward line.

Thanks to all, for all the training reports, FNQ is up for a knighthood for going beyond the call of duty. The acid test is when they play against some opposition,we wont have much longer to wait.

R&B Forever kicks off in 2013, for another round of clues, After a short break, it should be another interesting Quiz from R&B Forever coming up. Anyone wondering about rules ,and our scoring system, all is revealed in my opening post. If you need a refresher, I suggest browse through that to avoid getting a yellow card,or missing out on why your correct guess was overlooked. In Short .... some guidlines for those finding it too hard to track back to post No1. If anyone thinks they can stump the masses,and want to chair the quiz for the week, all you need to do is have a min of 5 players with 4 clues on each player. Send me a PM, I will add you to the roster,then give you a short brief. Scoring System: Quiz Master : No points scored if the quiz is guessed correctly with the opening guess. 1 point for 1st clue : 2 pts (if 2nd clue required) : 4 pts (3rd clue required) : 8 pts (4th clue required) 15 points for stumping the masses. (outrageous clues, for the 15 pointer, may incur a red card) The Masses : 2 Point bonus if you are the 1st to post and get it correct. 4 pts scored on the 1st clue : 3 pts on the 2nd clue : 2 pts on the 3rd clue : 1 pt on last clue. Perhaps its just my setup, but the animated avatars stopped working a few moons ago They will animate in a users profile page, and dont animate in the threads. Anyone else notice this?

I was referring to the one threathened with the sack, If he was any good, he would have forecasted it coming. And been packed any ready to move on. After relentless banging on my 6inch thick bunker door. I thought its either rumble from the fallout or someone wanting something. I peaked out through the pothole. The sun is out,the birds are chirping. The dvd player got stuck while playing the '87 prem final. I thought it cant get any worse now. I was given an ultimatum, stay in there, and miss out on my chrissy presents,that happen to be new MFC footy goodies Do I choose the risk of death?, you betcha, settled on the footy goodies. 2 pallets of popcorn ,one opened, to go on ebay shortly.

I thought I would start a thread to express my well wishes. Firstly to Andy and Jack for putting up with all the crap and bickering etc that we all serve up from time to time. But more to the point, for keeping d'land enjoyable, well run, and their input to making this site what it is today. To all the Mods, that try to keep us honest and 'try' keep everyone on the straight and narrow. A special mention also to KC, for his updates, hard work in keeping us informed with whats happening at Casey FC. Knowing the scores during the season, as well as the information on how the MFC boys are performing is always welcome. He does a great job, Thank you! To everyone else as well, have a Merry Xmas, and great New Year. Lets hope we see our team make a big move up the ladder. Also I should make mention, thanking the MFC, without them we wouldnt have a team. Some snoop around here, perhaps under an alias, so good luck and thank you for the contributions during this year and beyond. Its been a tough year, as we all know. We whine and gripe, but some have had a tougher year than us. While we celebrate our Xmas, and see the joy on the faces on kids opening their presents, take a moment to think of those that will be missing loved ones that have passed during this year. We know who they are, we won't forget them.

Thanks Stinger. and everyone else for making it a bit of fun. Back to normal after the New Year. Like the end of the world, it seems the quiz is refusing to end. Perhaps daisycutter should host for a week. I think he has the makings of a good quiz master. If so let me know.
