While there, he mentored the young Keith Miller, who entered the First XI at the age of 14 and went on to be regarded as Australia's finest all round cricketer. After completing his schooling Truscott worked as a school teacher and clerk. Truscott was later made acting squadron leader and in 1942, Truscott was posted back to Australia where he joined 76 Squadron, flying Kittyhawks.By this stage Truscott was, along with Clive Caldwell, one of the most famous RAAF pilots. Truscott's squadron was posted to Milne Bay, Papua and played a significant role in the Battle of Milne Bay where he was mentioned in dispatches for his actions. 76 Squadron was later transferred to Darwin, Northern Territory, for a time, and then Exmouth Gulf, Western Australia. Truscott was killed in an accident in Exmouth Gulf on 28 March 1943.

Ans = Laurie Mithen Kicked 6 goals in a quarter 1959, Rnd 3 Vs Fitzroy Then only kicked 1 more goal for the year. Originally wanted to play with the Tigers. He was in Melbournes' recruiting Zone. Mithen played as a half forward early in his career before moving into the centre. It was as a centreman that he had most success, winning Melbourne's best and fairest in 1958 and 1959. He was named on the interchange bench in the Melbourne's official 'Team of the Century'. In 1963, he moved to the Port Melbourne Football Club in the VFA and coached Port Melbourne from 1963 to 1965, during which time the club won the 1964 Premiership.

when you fart around on the boundary, its gives the other team a chance to drop players back. Once its cleared the backline best to go direct through the middle to a leading target,catch the oppostion out. In our case over the last few years, 1st we havent had a target up forward, or miskicked to the opposition and ignored a lead. Or some genius kicking out of defence has just kicked it out on the full. The opposition send it back to where it just came from. With Clark fit and Dawes up there , I hope to see them straighen up at some stage.
