  1. Select "Rank by Total Points" in your ladder. The top score of 34,807 seems a bit low compared to the Legends top score of 38,864 The normal ladder doesnt take into account the 1st 3 games played.
  2. I know our footy team is crap, but you are taking replicating their performance with yours a bit far Noone likes to play against a team they know is more-or-less is a walkover. Having said that you are IN for 2014. You can only improve, if you try.
  3. The OP is just a list of the current players in their current leagues. I suggest whatever your smoking, keep buying from the same supplier, its working. lol You are correct, its just that, a list of players, and being updated as confirmations come in, and adding those not in a one of these DT leagues and wanting to be included for 2014. As you have now realised your 'ghost ship' has hit a reef and its grounded itself PS: If you are sweating on priority picks for 2014, you are going to be very disapponted. Its doesnt exist in these leagues.
  4. They will get what is coming to them in due course. An Essendon fan dies on match day and goes to heaven in his Essendon jumper. He knocks on the old pearly gates and out walks St Peter in a St. Kilda scarf. "Hello, mate," says St Peter, "I'm sorry, no Essendon fans in heaven." "What?" exclaims the man, astonished. "You heard. No Essendon fans." "But, but, but, I've been a good man," replies the Essendon supporter. "Oh, really?" says St Peter. "What have you done then?" "Well," says the guy, "three weeks before I died, I gave 20 bucks to the starving children in Africa." "Oh," says St Peter. "Anything else?" "Well, two weeks before I died, I also gave 20 bucks to the homeless. "Hmmm. Anything else?" Yeah. A week before I died, I gave 20 bucks to the Albanian orphans. "Okay," says St Peter, "you wait here a minute while I have a word with the governor." Ten minutes pass before St Peter returns. He looks the bloke in the eye and says, "I've had a word with God and he agrees with me. Here's your sixty bucks back, now pi$$ off."
  5. NP. You are marked as confirmed. Also updated Evans Above , jacey. thanks guys.
  6. I hope the only 'snap' he hears from this day on, is a snap-shot
  7. Now thats what we call dedication. and a willingness to improve. Our players are the same, they are putting the effort in, its just not working out as hoped atm. It will turn around, some will improve their disposals out of sight and some will still mess up.
  8. He isnt on his own there. Many more suffer from this problem at other clubs. If he cant turn on his right, then his only option to get himself out of trouble is a burst of speed to give himself some space, or handball. Brad Green had the same issue, Davey as well and list goes on.
  9. I hope this comes across the way intented, from my own experiences. I think I was approx 8yrs old, when I was aware of changing improving my kicking. It was timing, to try to improve distance, I would alter my height of ball drop to see what or how to improve distance. Most times it got worse than what I was already doing. But I just tried different things to see what worked out better. I would be on our naturestrip 30 ft? from a lampost, and try to hit it, stab pass, drop kicks. I couldnt kick left foot, so I put the same practice in until my left was exceptable. Months of practice, I wrecked a good sherrin doing this, the seams on the footy burst apart. Like everything else. if you put the time in. and practice the correct way, it must improve. Back to our blokes. Those they attended training made remarks about sloppy disposals. Instead of putting the required time improving skills, they were more intent on building up their fitness. On the face of it this years results we have failed on both fronts. If they arent fit enough to run out a full game, fatique kicks in, the legs feel weak, and skillsets fall away. But it comes down to putting the time in to get the rewards.
  10. Getting back to the OP original question. Notice in most circumstances a natural left footer struggles to kick with their right foot. Its not as profound these days, as they are pressured, instructed, and also aware its a requirement to be able to use both sides. Even with those facts, still today some still have no right foot. To a lesser degree it can apply to right foot kicks. If taught at an early age the transformation is easlier. How good they become, comes down to practice, and a natural abiltiy to adjust.
  11. I've seen Nicho kick at training, he isnt as bad as all that that make him out to be. BUT, at training he has more time to think about where he is kicking and ball drop. The problem is, his age, as others have made mention, if bad habits creep in, its harder to eradicate. Its a mindset. Howe was a beautiful kick, he said so himself, he couldnt work out why his accuraticy had deserted him. I watched him last pre season at training kicking for goal, he rarely missed. His balldrop looked good, body weight transfer looked ok, But most of last season, he was spraying his shots. This year he has been better. If your confidence is shot, or you just dont have that extra second to steady, the ball could go anywhere. Neaarly all of our players have the talent for kicking, composure in a game is the key. Look at Watts, rarely does he rush himself, in fact sometimes he takes too long, but he hits a target.
  12. Lets take one of own own. One Robert Flower. Perfect kick on both sides of his body. Why? 2 reasons... 1st: he was a loyal champion that played for us. 2nd: Just had natural talent to burn. But he had beautiful balance, rarely shanked a kick, in fact I cant remember him shanking one, unless he was pushed off his kick, I cant remember that either. As gifted as he was, you can bet he still practiced his kicking.
  13. James Mansion from the filth was one, Stewart Lowe St.Kilda was another. The latter couldnt kick over a postage stamp, both not fine examples of how to kick. Lowe improved in the latter years of his career. Mansion was a decent ruckman
  14. A bad kick or an inaccurate kick? Define the 2. A bad kick may have something to do with the ball drop or body balance. Kicking on the run at speed is hard to do. You need to steady yourself a fraction, then have time to decide where you want to kick, you pick a target. If you are under pressure at the time, those two things (ball drop / balance) decide how it comes off the boot. An inaccurate kick may be ball drop, balance or a wrong technic, some footballers tighten up, or get the yips in front of goal. Like a golfer, you relax, go through a set routine. Some need hours and hours of practice for little gain and some improve out of sight. Golf swings can be improved most times, depending on the teacher and student. Its in the heat of the battle where old habits or a bad technic (under pressure) that separates a player able to gain composure quickly to be able to execute properly. Some are more gifted than others, if you are missing targets or the ball spin is incorrect, and the technic is correct, then its a concentration thing and many hours of practice. There have been some shocking technics from all clubs in past years, but they still managed to pin point a pass to a team mate. There is a saying practice makes perfect, but perfect practice makes perfect.
  15. THBT was onto me, it was tongue in cheek. Robbo does a great job, I too love the guy. He gives a bit of comic relief at a time when we need a distraction from the turmoil we are in at present. I was more or less saying as Pres Sheahan would make a great host. But who knows he may make a great president. I dont know, nobody would, unless he was given the chance. I am not saying let him do it. Our most successful president was Bert Chadwick, ex player tough backman, but we are hearing its time to move on from ex players and red & blue diehards and try something different. I just know we need to select the right people for the board and coach to get the players firing. Both go hand in hand. A successful team makes the board look good, a successful board makes the club look good. We really need to get it right this time, the pressure is on. A good president could come from anywhere, who would of thought all those years ago, a fresh faced, gap toothed, young reporter in Eddie MacQuire would end up being be the heavyweight for the CFC and AFL. Its the hands of Jackson to oversee that we get the right people, if Sheahan, at worst, is a member on the board, he may do a great job. I said it before we have some very talented personal to call upon, we just need to pull a diamond from the rough.
  16. Until we wait for confirmation on this one one way or other, I have a hypothetical. If he forced to stand down on Thursday, does this mean he does the team selection on Wednesday night? I have a few Dream team issues to sort out. thx in advance

  20. You wouldnt be getting all paranoid at all? would you?
  21. I was going to suggest midfield coach, but I lost my nerve
  22. If proven to be true. I would suggest anyone living in Moonee Ponds / Essendon / Broady / Tullamarine and surrounding areas to move family & relos to safer ground. The fallout will be huge. Bomberblitz should make a good read for a decade or 2.
  23. Signed to Freo until the end of 2014
  24. He would also be perfect to host DeeTV. Cya Robbo!!
