  1. Grill'd have very questionable ethics. Offer trainee wages and get taxpayer subsidies for it. I refuse to eat anywhere that does'nt pay their employees a fair wage, and then they still charge $17 a burger!

    No doubt!

A but a plastic bag floating around the SCG would have had more impact last night, and would have certainly offered more physicality.

Its mind-blowing that bloke was pick 2.  He had 1 Hit out and 1 effective disposal last night.... In fact, in his last 20 games at AFL level he has kicked 11 goals and had 22 hit-outs TOTAL!

This illustrates that he is not up to it as a key fwd or a ruck. its crazy he is even on our list yet alone getting a game at AFL level.

I remember when we had a mantra of "drafting competitors". That's clearly gone out the window now with players like Laurie, Schache, Billings skirting around the ground doing sweet FA and refusing to cop an contact whatsoever.

To be fair one of those games (elim final) he got zero stats as an unused sub. Another goodwin coaching genius decision.

I’m a total nuff on this kind of thing. But what exactly does an announcement about the go ahead for a feasibility study mean in real terms? explain it like i’m 5.

Or, explain it in relational terms.  i’m dating someone new. …. where am I at in this relationship?

It means the current board is trying to sway a few swing voters in the current board election. Probably garbage

We're all in M55 on an aisle this week. It would be nice to know if any Demonlanders have seats in the adjacent M54 just so we know were not sitting next to a Carlton bay. It was hideous being next to those dirty masses last week.

I'm in n54. Demon trident member.

    6. Heath - 11 tackles! 2 snags. Stopped Davey in her tracks and got her the other way

    5. Hore - full of class and versatility

    4. Mackin - exceptionally wing game, 16 kicks and a heap of penetration to them

    3. Bannan - 17 touches, 3 snags, worked up and down the field

    2. Hanks - just makes it look effortless at times

    1. Purcell - quiet first half but got rolling late

Apologies to Paxy, Tay Harris and Zanker, with goal kicking the difference for those last 2 missing out

    Great minds and all that.

He was excellent on Saturday. I have him in my SC team so watch closely. Only thing which I think we would hopefully take out of his game is he tends to coast a lot when chasing opponents.

Surely he wouldn't fit in with a no d1** head policy?

  7. Tommo got a lot of the ball but his kicks more often than not went straight to a geelong player.
    Harmes is a vfl player.
BBB was excellent getting forward and back and still kicking goals. Straight into the team.
Moniz-Wakefield needs to slow down. Seemed rushed and fumbly and turned it over because of this.
    Bowey was great.
Turner was marking everything but also poor kicking let him down.
Thought Deakyn Smith played a pretty good game.

  8. I cant help much here but say a particular bloke that had distinct demon tattoo was a complete peanut to me when their kid was kicking my ($100+)  seat at the mel v syd final last year. I politely spoke to both child and parent but was rudely spoken back to. I hope you read this. You're an [censored] of the highest order and your tat is terrible. I was nothing but kind and respectful to your family but you chose to ruin football for me for a while. Be better.

Last year I wanted a Narrm Beanie, didnt buy online, wanted to buy at the game.

But they weren't available at the game and i was sad with a cold head.

Will be buying a Narrm beanie as soon as they're online to avoid any future disappointment or cold head

    They are online now!

I hope those in here expressing disappointment in a 90 point margin aren’t the same posters who were worried we’d lose pre-game.

Off a 5-day break with a few players missing (Petty, Spargo, Salem) we played clinical football against an admittedly at times pathetic opponent. A percentage boost and (hopefully) no injuries.

Loved Chandler’s game and again the work of our wingers was important. Grundy’s marking is no good but when be gets going in clearance and transition he makes us so good. Tonight felt like he rucked heaps more than Gawn, perhaps a fitness thing for Gawn?

Not sure Schache did enough to hold his spot. 22 goals with the two tall forwards kicking just 2 total shows that we have many pathways to goal.

Like others I’m disappointed in the crowd but I wasn’t able to go tonight for personal reasons so can’t point the finger. But we really need to be pulling 30,000 of our own to all our MCG home games. I maintain that our fanbase don’t like night games (outside of ANZAC Eve).

People have better things to do than football every single week. I love the dees, but I'm not spending EVERY weekend night i have going to the footy.

  11. Anyone have any idea how to find out the winners in the Melbourne gameday 'dudley's' raffle? I have bought hundreds of tickets over the years and never checked one. Thought I might try and actually check this week but can't find any results anywhere.

I praised T'Mac last week and i think rightfully so, but his game today was just a shell of that one over in the west.

Of course difficult conditions to mark the ball in and Essendon's defence was pretty good but just didn't seem to compete as effectively as he did against the Eagles.

Maybe i'm being too harsh as most of our talls had a shocker today.

Draper and Phillips seemed to have no issues.

T mac is a frontrunning spud that only kicks bags against bottom teams.

You’re kidding? He’s so crucial to our structure - outside of kicking goals. Go to a game and just watch how and where he moves; no coincidence that the drop off last season started after he was out….

A slow tall forward that can't turn, doesn't kick goals, and flies at every mark one handed is critical to our team? Nah...

I'll take a forward that marks and goals thanks.

Thought Lever really stood up in Mays absence.

    Bowey is Mr reliable

Kozzie has arrived as a complete player, looks bigger and more powerful and will be a nightmare match up, as if they didn’t have their hands full already with Clarry and Trac.

TMac looked out of sorts , but it’s a positive to kick a winning score with TMac down and Fritter out. BBB will hold down that Full forward spot bar injury.

T mac looked terrible. Only recent bags have been against north, wc, hawks and saints. Has been a liabilty. JVR in next week, but unlikely thanks to goodwins stupid unwillingness to change.

There is no chance that reserved seating allocation has sold out. The southern stand reserved seating area was less 50% full for most games last year.

More likely they have reached the limit for Grand Final guarantees, which must be purchased by anyone wanting a reserved seat.

If there is anyone with half a brain at the club they will release further reserved seats without needing to buy the GFG as well. There are many people who cannot justify this level of expenditure on a yearly basis - and let's be honest, we are hardly winning premierships at the rate of Geelong or Hawthorn over the past 20 years.

As an aside, I am a 38 year member who has had a reserved seat for as long as I remember and who has automatic rollover and monthly direct debit of my membership. After being forced into buying a GFG last year to keep my reserved seat, I cancelled the reserved seat and automatic rollover at the end of last season.

At this point I am yet to receive any communication from the club to rejoin as a member. If they are not prepared to put any effort to keep supporters who have spent many thousands of dollars on memberships over a long period of time, then I cannot comprehend what our membership department has been doing in recent months.

Not full does not mean not sold. I'm reserved seat and only made it to 3 games last year.
