  1. I don't care about Scully's giant leaps forward, I just care about him falling backward on the end of Tappy's shoulder. If Scully gets off the ground unassisted when they play us I'll be ashamed of the whole team.

i feel and hope for exactly the same as you , however i cant seem to shake the thought of the inevitable shakes of hands , hugs and hows the weather up there conversation as soon as the siren sounds . I just hope for f....s sake we are in front or i may go postal....

  2. I have no real reaction to the 'Watts laughing crisis' (seriouly people) myself, but there is no doubting that some of the players feel like they don't have to do 100% of the things it means to be a top level footballer.

Having a few of those around undermines the will of others to give their share of 100%, in turn. People leave, or just go into the comfortable space.

It is fairly clear that what is going on with Neeld and the new panel is a demand for elite commitment, and that there is a psychological battle going on that, embarassingly, resembles a bunch of kids being told they have to clean their room or ea their vegetables, and going into a sulk about it. Pushing the greens around the plate. Which looks (and is) even less effective than the imperfect effort being put in beforehand.

Basicallly, Neeld is some kind of super-nanny character brought in to stare down the sooky problem children that are making the whole family miserable. We can only hope he delivers on that role.

Meanwhile, I think a lot of people aren't really convinced of the tactical plans being brought in. This is a separate issue but also a problematic one and th two interconnect. Any 'failure' by Neeld and the coaching panel gives the recalcitrant players a bit of space to say 'well, why should I do what he says'.

I do think we will see a few 'senior sooks' dumped at end of year. Hopefully for good trades under the mantra of 'they need a fresh start and a kick up the bum'. Which has the added benefit of being a true statement. Let's say we gain an extra second round and two extra third round picks in the process - we could be looking at as many as eight new kids coming in through the first three rounds of the draft. Never mind specific top picks, that 'charm' has worn off a bit for me.

And if we can grab a few 'high character + high performance' types in trade as well, it can really shift the club. Out with the sooks! (That might just be my new football mantra)

Out with the sooks !! like it big time and if you here it shouted out at a game in the next three weeks when we are down it may well be me!!
  3. Pretty much agree with that except id like to see martin come back in . Clark is clunking everything that comes near him down forward we dont want him rucking up the ground . Davey gotta go as well play sam blease for an extended period and see what he can do .

  4. Ive been thinking about our current list and with trades and draft picks that may be ready to play straight away put aside I have put together a team with 2 interchange from the current list that will in my opinion be the starting line up in 2015 and in Brackets roughly how many senior games they will have under their belt.

Looking forward for all your opinions and feed back.

    Backs Strauss(60) Frawley(140) Bennell(100)

    HB Garland(125) McDonald(60) Grimes(70)

    C Trengove(80) Mckenzie(90) Watts(90)

    HF Jurrah(90) Sheahan(40) Howe(80)

    Forwards Cook(45) Clark(135) Blease(60)

    Foll Gawn(50) Viney(40) Gysberts(60)

    Int Fitzpatrick(50) Jones(160)

In my opinion I like the Spine backs and forwards and love fitzpatrick on the pine to help gawn and clark a 3 way rotation if needed. But this team lacks pace.

Why has everyone gone cold on tappy ? seems a bit fickle to me . I reckon hell be a gun in 2 years .
  5. As allways the side looks ok on paper especially with Clark and chippa back, and we are def improving on our early efforts . The tigers took them to within 10 points and i reckon well give em a contest . Im a fan of Watts but hes efforts last sat night were not up to it . Was a spectator . Hoping Morton can give us another improved game as well .

  6. I literally dont know what to say at the moment . Im sick of getting kicked around . Can anyone see what the coach is trying to do ? ill stick with it and so should everyone but im just looking for something to show me there is light at the end of the tunnell . Supporting unconditionally is getting very hard .

  7. Who was that east gippy, I didn't see the News. Was that Neelds response?

This needs to be investigated @ Melbourne, because these types of inhouse/outhouse incidents are not what the club should be built on. they need cleaning up and a good round table honesty session with the leadership group asap, to sort this Cancer from spreading.

Or I'm not a Jimma friend... Guts, "Whatever it Takes".

The ten reporter rodger oldridge in his cross on ten news .
  8. He's been on our list for 6 years or so, and he hasn't improved at all. I can't see a future for him. Don't see the benefit of playing him at all.

10 possessions in the last quarter means nothing. At least three of them were bombs into the forward line to no one.

Mate he was the sub and had one quarter to have a crack . Your singling out the wrong bloke . Clearly he was not the only one to bomb the ball forward , it happened all day . Give the bloke a full game before you hang him out to dry .
  9. We were pissweak at the clearances and stoppages, you lose as many as we did today you are never going to win. Jamar was slaughtered, the Russian looks like he is really struggling at the moment.

I thought he was poor as well and yet pick up the herald sun this morning and hes named as our best player!!?? We were well beaten in the ruck .
  10. I rate him cause he is hard as granite and runs fast and straight.

His disposal is average at times but the way he plays is (IMO) exactly how Neeld wants us playing.

I also see that players with better skills on the list might think they are better than him but don't have the same ferocious desire and so Neeld won't pick them until they learn it takes more than skill alone to be the best. When they work and run as hard as Ro and then use their skills better they can come in the team but until then its Casey. My thoughts on it anyway...

Fair enough im not saying i dont like him as a player i just havnt seen anything from him to make me think i want him in the side yet . Ill be watching him closely on sat and post my thoughts next week .
  11. And all the evidence shows that is a really effective way of addressing harmful substance use.....

Thats where hes heading thats the law . I would have thought a baby would give him some perspective but that didnt seem to do the trick . Maybe some time in jail away from the privledged life might .
