With all the freebies that lot are getting they'd probably shrug their shoulders if he gave up and went off to become a Hare Krishna.

Any chance they might spill online somewhere?

1) 1998 2) 1991 3) 2000 Strangely unmoved by '94. Think I might have been in a teenage 'everything is rubbish' phase that year.

Your Top 10 All-Time Favourite Demons
Supermercado replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
1988- 1. Allen Jakovich (1991 season fuelled my passion) 2. Phil Read (Ultimate cult figure, beloved by me but hated by many) 3. David Neitz (Machine) 4. Garry Lyon (Occassionally functioning machine. 1998 season still my favourite) 5. Jim Stynes (Ever reliable) 6. Russell Robertson (Frustrating but loveable) 7. Matthew Whelan (Most underrated player of my time) 8. Brad Green (very fashionable to ignore at the moment) 9. James McDonald (untainted for now even by the GW$ connection) 10. Andrew Leoncelli (Mr. Football Park) Apologies to Martin, Frawley, Trengove (will all eventually qualify), Ingerson, Seecamp, T. Viney and for reasons only known to me Kevin Dyson, Jeff Hilton and Jamie Shanahan. No apologies to Isaac Weetra, Wayne Lamb or Scott Simister. -
To make up for the lack of a silly first name I insist he becomes Leigh Von Clutterbuck, then we're square.
-
I reserve the right to irrationally hate Leigh Williams for taking Clutterbuck's spot. Unless LW turns out to be good then I'll do the most ridiculous about face in history.

Lynden Dunn's Moustache ... Yay or Nay?
Supermercado replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
His commitment to it is amazing. It should go but only for charity. -
Fair point. First time next year we kick a rubbish score. And the nutters off the MFC Facebook page, they just can't get enough Fev.
-
Here's to the end of this ludicrous saga at about 1030am tomorrow.
-
So, is Clutterbuck fever coming to the MFC??
-
We gave Ana Ivanovic one. (and a jumper too etc..)

Ok, so I'm the biggest nerd of all time and already had this done... http://demonwiki.org/Two+Clubs+In+The+Same+Season But feel free not to click that and to guess away!

If you count BOG's from 1924-1930 (when they only did one vote) as three then Warne-Smith got 78 in total. He had 75 in that era and three votes total in 1931. Also while Greg Wells is credited with 127 votes it comes with a disclaimer as the year he joined Carlton midway through they still didn't announce who got votes for which game so some may have come for Carlton. Either way he's well clear from 1st and 3rd so it wouldn't make a difference. The next highest MFC vote getters to have played for two teams in one season in the mystery votes era are Michael Byrne and Ray Smith (5)

Lance was his brother who played for Fitzroy, the one we had was Brendan. /killjoy post

O is for O'Dwyer, a player who used to punch people in the head for fun. We need another.
-
Second/third the above, great book not just about him but MFC in general from the 30's to the 70's

Breakfast Point - are the players paying rent there?
Supermercado replied to Demon Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
Any danger of a single "we hate GW$" thread instead of 500 different ones. -
Oh my god. I can't contain myself with this Clutterbuck news. Straight in at #1 in my favourite players if we draft him.
-
1987's great debate. Bring back the GO HOME MEXICANS scoreboard I say.

Interest look back at 1991 draft
Supermercado replied to DemonPremiers2015's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not to mention drafted players who flat out refused to leave their home states. I suspect Rouvray in the above list fit that bill, and Tohill was of course another crack at the Irish Experiment. Agreed that those drafts have no relevance compared to today, some of the picks and disastrous runs that clubs had (hello Brisbane, Fitzroy and Sydney) would cause rioting in the streets if clubs went through them now. I wonder if the Bears would have been all that better off had they had the same draft/player stealing concessions as new clubs. They would have if they'd been launching the team today but in '87 they'd probably still have picked a bunch of SANFL players who told them to nick off. -
Interest look back at 1991 draft
Supermercado replied to DemonPremiers2015's topic in Melbourne Demons
1989 draft is my favourite (http://demonwiki.org/1989+Draft) Traded in Steven Clark (21 games), Trevor Spencer (3) and Michael Scott (0) then drafted.. 25 - Paul Rouvray (0) 57 - Tim Moreland (0) 71 - Glenn Wilkins (0) 85 - Anthony Tohill (0) A low day for early era drafting -
We might have had good numbers through the gate in 87 but membership was putrid at just over 3000. http://demonwiki.org/memberships
