Are we witnessing a captain curse now?
Supermercado replied to Maybe next year's topic in Melbourne Demons
Trengove has been pretty good (by our overall standards) over the last couple of weeks and Grimes played about 15 minutes of the pre-season. Much bigger problems elsewhere. -

No Nonsense Neeld ... Let the Fallout Begin.
Supermercado replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watch the media try and kill him. After a week of treating stupid questions with contempt all of a sudden according to Channel 9 tonight he "fumbled" his way through a "defensive" press conference. They'll hate him because he will just stare down stupidity. Of course nobody dared complain when Malthouse did the same thing but once you've won flags you can do as you please, a first game coach is an easy target for these scumbags. -
Of all the clowns who have taken the chance to knife us this week (Malthouse, Matthews, Thomas, 15-year-old wankers across internet, our own fans) this is the first one I've agreed with. Doesn't mean they still can't be good players but where are the big bastards? That's why I don't care what we're paying Mitch Clark - at least they went out and got somebody who didn't weight 60kg soaking wet.

AFL Employee leaked info about indigenous players
Supermercado replied to BarrassHarrass's topic in Melbourne Demons
Everyone who gets off on making [censored] rumours will be absolutely storming to keyboards right now to start naming the supposed source. -
Poor bastard now not only has to coach but have his interview technique put under scrutiny by all and sundry as well. In some ways I miss the days before we got to the next game obsessing about dinky, irrelevant topics online all week.

Leigh Matthews does not rate Mitch as forward
Supermercado replied to deemad's topic in Melbourne Demons
If it's a waste of money recruiting Clark (and it's not) imagine how big a waste it would have been if we hadn't got him and they'd spent it on pay rises for our senior 'stars'. -
In that case I'm happy to give him even more time to axe the rubbish he inherited and build his own list. I'd rather lose the fringe ex-'stars' than the current leadership group. Fit in or, err, rack off.
-
My god, imagine what Sheedy would have done. It would have been like Carlton when they topped up with midcarders. We'd be about two years behind where we are now - not entirely Bailey's fault that the drafting was pox as well - at least the Blues eventually got it right and managed to lure a star with dodgy money. Things might not be up to much chop now but I can do without having enjoyed a stint of Aaron Henneman if it's all the same with you.

Would be happy if every player on their last legs kicked 45 goals.

Ben Hudson Better recruit than Mitch Clarke

Given that people are still saying Maloney, Maclean, Pettard and Trengrove I don't like the chances of it being universally accepted just yet. -

Nice touch to lock all the other threads. It's a small gesture but what a hero. -

Thanks, you don't forget a name like that. Which is why I was so cut up when Geelong axed Ranga Ediriwikrama. -
Late play for Red Rooster? Get that chicken on there.

Money well spent because we'd probably have cocked up the draft pick anyway.

Mark Neeld prepared to sack melbourne players
Supermercado replied to deemad's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was saying that about two months ago. That he has specific roles to be filled and if somebody can't fit them they'd get the boot to the VFL. I hope one of his specialised role is "person who can hit a target by foot". -

Was Tungatalum not already a St Kilda rookie? Not that he'd be the first person to have a second crack. -

At least Bennell and Jetta weren't high picks, anything we get out of them is a bonus. Our drafting higher up the order on the other hand...... -

Jamar still dominating the taps. Nice if somebody got to one. -

Supermercado replied to GawnWithTheWind's topic in Melbourne Demons
As rubbish as these commentators are I'm not surprised they have no idea about the rules considering they're seemingly made up on the spot in the pre-season. -

Good on them for realising Dunn was on after 20 minutes when he'd already had a possession. Rural coverage at its best. -

Just because you're remaining calm don't expect others to do the same. I couldn't care less personally but I guarantee lengthy threads about how we're gone and how everyone should be sacked if we get rolled here.
