Poor bastard might have shown up in the wrong place at the wrong time, but his two games edged out Isaac Weetra for the worst two and out I've ever seen.

Reminder - highly ambitious attempt at a live call via http://mixlr.com/supermercado/. If first bounce is 11am I'll move the starting time back to 10.50 to give me time to work out who everyone is. As long as it's not a total disaster archives of the call will be available at that address afterwards. Inspiration courtesy of:

I haven't properly tested this yet, but if it works live commentary (of varying quality) should be available via http://mixlr.com/supermercado/ from about 10.20am. No doubt this 'revolutionary technology' will fail miserably. In preparation for the big call I've been at NAB Footify FM school with Hamish McLachlan. He's taught me to do Weekend At Bernies references at every available opportunity.

Jamie Bennell upgraded to main list at Weagles
Supermercado replied to Mono's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why would you upgrade the players before the new coach is appointed? -
Would rather just to refer to them as randoms from their chosen team and concentrate on getting ours right. Some poor Saints player is going to be called Kosi.
-
Have worked out how to do an audio broadcast commentary, time to find out that commentating is just like playing and that I've got no aptitude for either. Should be less chance of broken bones this way. P.S - Opposition players will just have their names made up.
-
Play him alongside Kent for maximum abusive ad libs potential.

This thread reads like a WWE angle

I'll help out with whatever's required. Would still love to provide Hendrik from the NAB ad style live commentary, but stuffed if I've got the tech skills to do such a thing.
-
On here I've been sensible enough, but deciding that there was no point sacking Neeld until the end of the season after we got thumped by Gold Coast was a low moment.

The difference Roos would make (VOTE AWAY)
Supermercado replied to Grimseyisgod's topic in Melbourne Demons
I still think we'll be no good, but not as bad as we are now. Got to give him some time to rebuild. -
Just from the title of the thread I was willing to vote YES

Melbourne to be investigated re supplements
Supermercado replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watch us settle for Neil Craig as coach about five minutes before the AFL bans him anyway. Would be another classic Melbourne moment.- 243 replies

Melbourne to be investigated re supplements

I've forgotten what we were supposed to have done. Did Jack Trengove get some cream rubbed on his foot or something? -
Another layer of bureaucracy on a game that's already becoming like doing your taxes once a week.
-
It should be noted that our constitution calls for a member's vote on merger but has no such clause on relocation. Having said that what's a club constitution if the AFL want something? If it went to a vote they'd bully us into it, and after being rolled by North fans standing up to them they'd be all-in this time. Here's to another side falling under the bus first.

He did, but probably only for one game as a top-up player http://demonwiki.org/paul+chapman

What's September? I hope the birds spend the whole month dropping the foulest bombs of all time on anybody who walks into the place.

Played Reserves for us in '97. Practically an MFC legend http://demonwiki.org/george+de+crespigny

The contention of his article is fine, it's just that he can't write anything without coming across as a condescending [censored].

Not saying we should bring in the Drill Sergeant from Full Metal Jacket, but the endorsement of this group of players hardly makes me want him in the job permanently.
-
Spencer had one kick and I'm sure it hit the target. I wouldn't trust him with my life but I've been surprised at some of the targets he's hit in games this year. Every once in a while you get a botchamania kick which rolls along the ground for two metres but he's definitely getting better. Will remain as cover only next year, so I'm not all that concerned about him.

We need 66.33ppg over the last three games to avoid our lowest scoring 22 game season. Fun fact. Distressing fact.

You've come to the wrong place.
