  1. 6. Trengove 5. McKenzie 4. Green 3. Dunn 2. Watts 1. Frawley Can't say I agree with people giving votes to Davey (especially 5/6 votes wtf?) only had 14, and Jones had a field day. Struggle to see how Green wasn't in our best 6 either.
  2. +1, match was about what I expected, perhaps even better than expected. Nice to see Trengove, Watts and McKenzie have good games though.
  3. He plays poker at crown a little, played with him twice and he's pretty quiet, was polite and nice to people asking about various things at St.Kilda (I think there was a Luke Ball injury at the time). Also not very good at poker. But yeah maybe they went a little overboard imo, but because of the way the system works they had to. As long as he doesn't miss finals and it stops this stuff happening in the future it's alright imo.
  4. I didn't think Watts was that bad... only so much you can do when ball is inside oppositions 50 for most of the game and we cant hit a target past halfback. That said he really needs to get over slipping over all the time.
  5. read the same thing and thought the same thing, unless we finish bottom 2 though doubt we'll be able pick him up.
  6. Needs to be some way for clubs to internally rate un-contracted players, but this could also be biased since we'd obviously just rate Petterd number one as he's the only one that has a chance of going.
  7. need a TV capture card... or know how to decrypt the HDD data which i imagine is very difficult.
  8. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=720419 not a bad idea, better than conference anyway imo.
  9. Shaw was gone to the world in the first half, however Dunn didn't have a stat after halftime and shaw was decent.
  10. I prefer Frawley/Garland kicking in and Davey around the 50m arc, that way we can get the ball to Davey running off halfback and use his great footskills to open up the game or hit a target at half-forward. Garland/Frawley over other defenders because I think they are more reliable (Grimes just makes 2-3 mistakes a game and they can be VERY costly when he takes the kick ins)
  11. I see no real problem with at least giving it a try for a few games. We have a surplus of good backmen atm and a lack of forwards, if Garland doesn't work up forward after a few games then cant we just send him back? Better to give it a try now and see if it works rather than doing it when we are actually in finals contention.
  12. meh they were better than last time we played and were hardly shocking imo.
  13. 3 - Jamar 2.5 - Moloney 2 - Garland 1.5 - Morton 1 - Frawley 0.5 - Davey
  14. dont want to get on the bag bruce bandwagon (bbb?), but is his kicking worse than his handballing? harsh on trengove, scully and jetta imo. and a little on watts perhaps (bar the brain fade) garland - career best game
  15. Congrats Gys Leave first your KPP's alone imo.
  16. Unfortunately teams are kind of catching on to our long bomb to Jamar strategy, I remember specifically against WC, Cox and NN stood either side of Jamar we still tried to bomb it to him. It's amazing how bad we are at kick-ins (and have been for some time) surely we should dissect how the top teams manage to do it with ease vs us and implement similar strategies.
  17. robinson was pretty good yesterday as well imo, also been good the last 2 weeks. not sure if hes ahead of rockliff, but probably ahead of gys.
  18. haha interesting theory, could be true for miller tbh.
  19. i have a heap of bets against my carlton mates tomorrow ($20 a piece) Judd to get <29.5 touches Gysberts to get >19.5 touches Watts to get >13.5 touches dees to win 2 or more quarters at 2:1 dees to win with +20.5 dees to kick the first goal bennell+jetta+1.5 to kick more goals than betts+garlett (hopefully bennell doesn't play in defence) carlton not to kick 7 goals in a quater
  20. +1 he seems to be getting more confident and improving every game.
  21. agree about the defence being the foundation. however grimes/frawley/warnock/garland/batram have been the heart of our defence this yeah with bruce/rivers/macdonald floating in and out. none of those 5 players are likely to be dropped (bar garland's injury) so our defence should keep it's unity and even dropping all 3 of bruce/rivers/macdonald wont hurt it (even if i think only 2 maxed will be dropped). still should be very interesting who comes in/out this week and give a good insight to what the coaches see as our future.
  22. martin was pretty solid v Adelaide (and they won) plus he's been pretty solid all year. i think he might get it.
  23. @ bennell i thought he was average today (same with jetta) but would be very harsh to drop them after last weeks performance. i cant see them dropping wonna after 2 games (especially since he looked a lot better this week) after recalling him so quickly, coaching staff must think giving him running around in the seniors is better then getting some match fitness at casey
