Which games? I'd have us favourite or at least 50/50 against Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood (x2), Footscray(x2), Richmond, St. Kilda (x2) and West Coast. That's 10 games without even factoring in potential upsets like Essendon and both Port games last year. Some people are either seriously damaged from theast decade and are really underselling us or are overselling some of these other clubs. Some of them ain't that good and a couple are downright terrible.

I watched the round tables yesterday and for the most part I thought they were pretty good. I thought their analysis of us was terrible though centring around our wasted draft picks and lamenting where we "should" be with no real analysis of the list. Only mentioned a few of our players really. Was a shame because most of the other teams were analysed pretty well.

You're being overly dramatic. You can still tackle/bump/crunch players to test them out just don't hit them in the head.

I think part of that came from him being a bit hesitant - it seemed to me as though he was holding back a bit because it was only NAB Challenge and he just wanted to get through and not get injured. Come the real stuff I think he'll play a more attacking game meaning he won't be as fumbly and will crash the packs a bit. Hope so anyway.

It's too strong to say Roos deserves "blame" however I don't think anyone is faultless so there are clearly going to be elements of his coaching up for discussion.

We're too hesitant all round - even going sideways to switch the play, if you just do it quickly instead of hesitating and thinking about it it will open up the play and allow you to move the ball forward quickly. Hesitate even for a second and players run back, fill space and make it impossible to move the ball forward with any kind of efficiency.

I simply can't see a circumstance where players cop significant penalties and Hird is allowed to coach on. Would make an even greater mockery of an already ridiculous situation, club and competition.

If they were "taking it easy" that's even worse in a way because Roos definitely looked like he was taking things seriously in the box.

I was pretty astonished that with the three guys there to go for the mark they let the shortest and worst kick take it. Didn't even get time to get that thought out of my mouth before he turned it over though.

Yeah strong comparison. Saints playing the reigning premiers we played a team of mostly kids and top up players who couldn't even get on a senior list.
