Lumumba's been very good the last 3 weeks, part of the reason we are able to break open from half back with running play. His disposal and decision making has been pretty good, I think you're underselling him here. Yeah last year he was very poor and even in the first two games this year but since the North game he has been a key in getting us moving from half back.

Yep rightio

MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000
Dr. Gonzo replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm an AFL Member with club support, have signed my two sons (3yo and 8 months) up as AFL Members and also as Junior Demons members. I'm tempted to take out an additional 3 game membership ($99) just to help nudge us up towards 40k. Armchair memberships (I assume are included) are only $69 and digital armchair memberships (giving you access to the AFL Live Pass on mobile phones/tablets) are only $125. -
MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000

Now is the time for any of those wavering and those who may have jumped off over the years to get back on board. Even a token membership will do wonders to get the juggernaut rolling. Any MCC members who haven't taken out the dual membership, pull a pineapple out of your pocket in support of the fantastic work by PJ, Roos et al to get this club back on track and starting to gain some respectability again. If we can get to 40k it will be a great achievement and stepping stone for next year and beyond to consolidate our position off field and within the AFL community. It will help with sponsors, home games and FTA exposure. Lets get cracking. -
Yeah fair enough. The point still stands though that the circumstances were completely different.

Good, let them whinge

Yep me too, jumped up to celebrate as the ball left his foot.

He's still finding his feet across half back. If he was playing across half forward/wing/midfield he'd be having a far greater impact. He did alright last night especially when you compare his output to a Brayshaw.

I don't know why they don't do this. Even after the game with a win like that, set up a tent or two outside the ground and sell memberships to people while emotions are high. Doesn't always work like that. Once the enthusiasm and alcohol wears off reality can hit and people become a bit more pragmatic. -
My cousin and my wife's uncle both Richmond supporters said the same thing. May not be saying much, but they definitely "came to play" same as the Pies last week. The fact we could match them, kick clear and never be headed despite multiple challenges bodes well for our maturity and our belief.

Does it really need to be pointed out what the difference was between Milne and Goodes? Come on, you're better than that.
-
I chucked $10 each way on him last night at $67 for the win and $17 for the place

The presentation of the club through the TV commentary can impact though, especially when talking about marketing to prospective supporters.

Isn't Cotchin mates with Gils brother?
-
Haha stupid phone - I've edited now, meant to say "immense last night"
-
Too right sue. The only other one I can think of is....Lumumba
-
Tyson was immense last night. Played well last week and possibly his best career game last night. If he can keep that up he'll push Viney and Gawn for the Bluey.
-
He only had 3 kicks and 9 touches. Not enough. He'll get it back but he's had a poor start to the year.
-
Channel 7 didn't even mention it and didn't show a replay so as far as the afl is concerned it didn't happen. The replay at the ground from the reverse angle was damning though. Richmond are becoming as bad as west coast and geelong with the ducking

Maybe I am being too hard on Hogan, it was definitely an off night. The two or three turnovers stuck out though and his decision making seemed off. Seems he tries to find the perfect option instead of the first option too often though.
-
I don't think Rance beat him though. He was getting the footy but didn't use it well when he did. He did compete well though.
-
Richmond came to play, their season on the line. They challenged us multiple times yet, like the Pies last week, we were never headed once we kicked the opening goal. There's room for improvement but it was still a good win. And now we get to see the blowtorch on Hardwick this week.

Oh please
