We've reached the "par" mark of 10 wins, now let's see if we can better it. There's no gimmes in footy but we will start favourites next week against the Blues - then with any luck we'll be playing for a spot in September down at Geelong. Whether we make it or not I think the doubters have been proved wrong over the last fortnight. Dare to dream.

Best reason to give it to them. I don't get the "spite" card - yeah we could've done with a PP but it wasn't essential. Brisbane have two issues, they're rubbish AND they're having trouble holding on to their young talent. BUT that's why the academies have been brought in and they got two guys last year (Keays and Hipwood) plus Schache and another early pick and more academy picks this year that should set them on the right path. Too late for Leppa but the next coach should be right. If the AFL really wanted to help them they'd try and coax Roos to take on the job after finishing with us under the same circumstances (2-3 year option with a development coach brought in to transition to). And relieve some of their debt, fund their facilities and have veto power of board selections.

A 2 year contract would also take him up to FA if the AFLPA get their wish and reduce it to 6 years. (Pretty sure I read last year that the year he was at the club as a 17yo would count - it was in the context of referring to when Gold Coast players would become FA's).

I reckon with TMac signed the Swans will go hard for Hurley. He'll probably end up there or the Crows.

Roos is famous for just adding a "y" to everyones surname as their nickname. On the JunkTime podcast the other day they were ripping into Travis Cloke for some answers he gave to a player profile type interview in the footy record. Amongst other answers, he listed his nickname as "Trav"

Agreed - I wouldn't be against a PP but I don't think it will really help. They've already got their academies, they just need to wait for those kids to come through. If the AFL want to help they can start by funding their training facilities/HQ and getting a competent CEO. Leigh Matthews should be removed from making FD decisions also.

I'm still not sold on the Dogs. They still lack enough good KPP's and I'm skeptical their game will hold up in finals. They don't seem to score enough either.

I would've been level 2 AFL members - I reminded him about some other guy he may have heard of called Nicky Winmar and he settled down after that. Was a lunatic though.

He also went after Weideman when his head was over the ball. Rioli went in headfirst which didn't make it look as bad but the intent was obvious.

He's a natural footballer and he can kick, that puts him as our best key defender if we were able to land him.

IF we could convince Hurley to come to the Demons then you would get it done however you have to. The club could try and swing another deal with GWS/Swans/GC for an early pick or put our 2017 1st rounder on the table.
