To be honest Dr Who I'm sick to death of "waiting" for draft picks to come along. I want the team on the park to start to bloody compete.

This team has been sitting on potential for 2 years and I know the change of coach may have slowed us a little but losses like that against the Hawks last weekend shouldn't still be happening. Anyone else feel that in most neutral supporters eyes Richmond have gone past us. Makes me sick

I'm really worried about this year to be honest. The start of 2011 I'd have said pushing for the 8 this year then definite finalists in 2012. I hope I'm wrong but I feel bottom 4 again. Maybe its the Hawks loss compounded by the Jurrah and FOJ issues but my opinion of the club is as low going into this season as it has been in the past 5 seasons.

This is almost EXACTLY how I'm currently feeling.

I had an email exchange with a mad and knowledgeable tigers supporter today - I said if I could get $5 on the tigers making the 8 that would be a good bet. He replied that I was basically smoking crack, should wait five weeks until they're 80-1 and that they're no chance whatsoever. Not sure what that says about us though.

should be careful about what gets written here. prosecutor lawyers are probably all over this thread already. on a side note what are peoples impressions on how the club would handle this? do you think they will throw him into the team as soon as he is fit? or do you think he may be put back to casey until it is sorted? thoughts?

My supercoach team is in ruins after today. Hopefully both Brown and Grimes are ok (although if Brown could miss Round 1 I wouldn't be comepletely devo'ed just quietly).

The Future Fund season launch is tonight - they sponsor Grimes, Watts and Garland so will be interesting to see if he attends.

We should know more shortly after 6pm I'd imagine. Hopefully he's there and will be ok.

Having done 5 shoulder dislocations in my footy so far.. only 22 .. it doesnt look like a dislocation more just a stinger or a sublax. Sublax shouldnt be more then a few weeks, all it is when he hit the ground the shoulder would have moved in the socket a bit and goes a stiff and you can't lift your shoulder above your head. I would be very suprised if the physio was doing that on the ground if he actually dislocated it or broke the collar bone. The collar bone break normally sticks out and they would know right away. I am thinking this was just a minor impact injury and afl.com.au getting all up and about cause they had people there watching training. If I am right, expect him back for round 1 at the latest.

I think in your business management 101 course that you obviously failed, you overlooked the subject concerning branding. Along the lines of if you lay with dogs you'll get fleas.

We are hardly desperate enough to take a deal from just anyone because they have the money. We need to have a brand worthy of it's place along side the MFC.

Everyone has different opinions about sponsor's products but from an MFC POV, as long as this airline (if the rumours are true btw) is in business making a profit, I couldn't give two hoots if they're somebody's 4th, 5th or even millionth preferred travel option.

If we had "Johny's Knockshop" as a major sponsor then I would understand we have "branding" issues but it's an airline FCS.

I'm seriously hoping this one is true. There are so many marketing opportunities to be had. Articles in their in flight magazine for tourist from China who might want to take in an AFL game when visiting Melbourne perhaps?

If we can get this sponsor sorted and have a reasonable NAB cup then I think we've had a decent off season.
