  1. Stop sooking about the media being out to get us. We are a complete bloody rabble and they have every right to be asking questions about how we got here. The club is a joke whether you like it or not, or recognise it or not.

  2. The problem for me is that not only do we absolutely suck balls but we're also boring. The whole experience of going to the footy is boring now; I know what will happen when I go and that sucks almost as much as the team.

We literally have no chance at all of winning at Etihad, anywhere interstate (I don't include GWS and GCS as proper teams) and any side that isn't Essendon or Richmond (and we couldn't even beat Richmond this year). It's just plain sad really, a sad bunch of losers who are just happy to have made AFL and get paid big dollars for it.

I'm really and truly over it. To see the club begging for money from members while we are in this state reminds me of the dead set bloody loser heroin junkies that ask you for money to get a train out to somewhere for a fictional job interview.

It's the little things as well like players stealing each others phones and tweeting shyte like "I'm a superstar get on me for the brownlow!" If somebody in my workplace stole my phone and did this I would flat out shove their phone up their #$^# until it came out their %&%#ing throat. Show some professionalism FCS.

And for the last time get rid of the stupid bloody trumpeter before our boring as buggery home games. Whatever it is they are trying to do isn't working and we look like a bunch of toffee nosed [censored] ends.

Always darkest before dawn is it? Well $% you and the horse you rode in on.

  3. How refreshingly positive you are - not!!!

How many "delisted duds and battlers who can't get games at current clubs" have we traded for in the Neeld era? Clark??? Yeah - a dud because he broke his foot!

Even the much maligned Sellar has shown some positives later in the season, as a depth player.

Being negative / positive is irrelevant to where the club is headed and hope is not a strategy as far as I'm concerned. I'm going on measurable results and this year we have been the worst side (outside the 2 clubs who field 15 year olds) that I have ever seen. I see absolutely no evidence to suggest we don't have a least another 5 years of watching this slop either.

Our moneyball approach is simply a fancy way of saying we are going to recycle players, these recycled players are probably going to be better than half the players on our list right now but that isn't exactly saying much is it. I never said Clark was a dud either. In fact he stood out like dog's nads when he was playing as he showed more passion and heart than 90% of his team mates. That's the reason he is already an instant fan favourite. If you're using Sellar as an example of Moneyball then we are totally stuffed, might as well close the doors now. You've said it yourself Sellar "has shown some positives later in the season, as a depth Player" this ain't gonna get it done by a long stretch.

Try being refreshingly honest with yourself about the current position of the club. The rose coloured glasses era is over now.

  4. "Moneyball" for the MFC will entail drafting delisted duds and battlers who can't get games at current clubs then crossing fingers and hoping that they will improve at our club. I see no reason to believe any player will improve in our environment. We will end up with a whole heap of battlers that couldn't hit a target to save their lives. So pretty much what we have now really.

  5. I'm pretty happy with the way the club has played it so far, we should really ramp it up leading up to the draft though.

It is absoutely essential that GWS and GCS know that it's 2nd round or bust for us with JV and it's important that the club is willing to follow through with the bust part of the equation as well.

I honestly think it is 2nd round or bust with him as well (that's what I'm hearing). I'd have thought Todd would want to avoid anything that even remotely resembles nepotism, particularly with the state the club is in. Put simply - we must pick the best player and I think we will.

  6. took my daughter to her second game. In years gone by I may have stretched the truth a little bit when getting home from the footy. She asks if we won I answer of course we did and then my wife asks me later how much we really lost by.

    LOL, nice work mate.

  7. I understand the frustration but people will also be unhappy if we dont take the best long term option as we are not going to play in premierships and win the by taking short cuts along the way, it just doesnt happpen

Our best long term option is SURVIVAL right now. We are 10 billion miles away from willing a premership, possible more. I would settle for simply winning a game against a side that isn't a bunch of bloody 15 year olds right now. If we keep winning <5 games a year we will not survive 10 years. As I said in my previous post we need a quick fix and we need it now. We simply can't afford to be complete rubbish for ANOTHER 6 years. Draft players who are ready to go not boney girl armed players who MIGHT be superstars in 300 god damn years (if we're lucky and if they haven't buggered off elsewhere by then).

Sorry for my ranting but I'm as fed up as most of you guys.
