Green has 1-3 years to go dependent on form. Cook has about that to develop before we will really need to fill gaps and maybe be threatening for a flag. Why on earth are you trying to push a young bloke who is growing , while we have no idea of his potential in his first year FFS.

A year ago we worried that if Jamar went down we were screwed because it would be left to Spencil. Now we have too many quality talls? Yep sure, huge problem Finey. He really should be focusing on his own sinking ship at seaford.
-
cant see us picking him up if he goes to the PSD. Bad juju. All good to threaten it but really Freo have the position of power here. Brisbane will fold at some point.
-
who are you following there Hardtack?
-
Disagree, Bris have already said 16 and 20 aren't good enough and Freo need to convert them into sub 12 to win. we hold the cards at the moment and that's before we get outbid and maybe raise.
-
I put to you that to beat them we would have had to dig really deep and give up picks in next years draft that would be difficult to justify. For adelaide to be on top here crouch would have to be a top 10 pick (probably is) and brown top 15 (does not seem to be on consensus). You are right, to lock them in you need to pay overs. I just didnt want to see us miss out and someone get a bargain.

Adelaide paid overs
-
Where do we sign?
-
With the amount of ammunition we have, that would be an awful result. The only justification can be that other clubs have paid massive overs for the picks. Even then......

injured but poor form also

fair enough, wont happen then.

couldnt agree more.

Trade week radio now suggesting Warnock to GCS. could we potentially get Toy in return, maybe we give up a 3rd rounder as well to even it out?
-
AFL have said they don't like it, but haven't said no to it yet. It appears that if o'meara goes through other hands first they can get him back. By the rules anyway.

Which is exactly the point at which you need to make the call, while he still has some currency. He is highly unlikely to become a superstar and is highly likely not part of our best 21 going forward. We have sat on Bate for too long, would have got significantly more if we had acted sooner.
-
rpfc surely the reason no one understands the rules is because the vaguer they are, the more the AFL can manipulate them to the their advantage. Am I too cynical ?

Heppell top 50?

You know you're going badly when even average staff don't want to go to your club and would rather go to SA.

I wonder how much room GWS have left themselves to move here? Surely they'd be interested... They don't have anything like a gablett there yet.

I take your point. i honestly cant remember seeing Mitchell as a kid.....but per your comment perhaps nobody noticed him
-
Maybe. Id say more aggressive than both of those guys and perhaps not as neat disposal, but I cant remember how Mitchell went at the same age.

One suggests they never claimed to be accurate....just first.

Just to add, in the couple of times I've spoken to Matt he was very open to ideas and feedback, so perhaps less keyboard warrior action and a more proactive approach would get an improved result for anyone that is potting him.

Matt isn't a professional presenter, that's not his role, he is responsible for the content on the website which has improved significantly since he started. Maybe he isn't polished or as attractive as you are after but if you go back and look at the lack of content, articles, interviews pre him I think you may feel differently. The interviews with new staff, the increase in pieces such as the stats and tactical pieces on the site last year were all due to him pushing increased content. Have a chat with Matt, I think you'll see the positives in having him there
