  1. How about a bex and a lie down? Plenty of other threads to read....
  2. Jake's attack at the ball and his rucking was great on the weekend. But every time he goes to kick the ball my heart goes to my mouth.
  3. I don't think this got a reply but it should..... Gold. I'm starting to strugle to diferentiate the [censored] stirrers from the real idiots who are damning blokes in their first year.
  4. I think the game has lifted in pace since aaron started, but also Flash is slightly bigger now, so he was always going to lose a bit of toe. I still cant ever remember him getting run down from behind. Caught thinking sometimes sure but never caught running.
  5. I thought his effort was top shelf on saturday. I will agree that he put the body in as opposition were trying to work the ball out of D, but i didnt see him shirtfront anyone or put in anything that could be called a cheap shot. I think Wonna is doing the right thing and trying to show his endeavour and working overtime to get back in the side....which is fantastic. He isnt as fast as Davey but he will keep them thinking if he is going to make that sort of solid bump every time. Great stuff I say. Nothing there that would warrant attention by umpires or review unless he started going late.....which he wasnt doing.
  6. thinking conditions Bennells was easily superior, taking the knock, clean pick up, couple of steps and off the outside of the boot....absolute class. sadly wont get the votes to get up i imagine.
  7. The obvious implication being that Mighty Demon is DB.....
  8. Barts is significantly improved this year IMO. Should not be dropped.
  9. 100% behind the FD - happy to see either result (In or out), but I'll be pumped if we play him this week because the Casey game clashes with the Dees and I wouldnt be able to see it anyway. I camped behind our fwd goals down at casey on the weekend and i love this blokes kicking action, every set shot looked exactly the same and was a perfect kick, two were just a little off target with a cross breeze. When the FD is ready I am ready. Go Dees - Go Jesus Jack.
  10. Yep, he is certainly not a very good half back when he is playing on the Half forward line. MFC's problem is that we dont have 5 of Aaron Davey. This thread hasnt been very well researched so I'm not going to go on.
  11. IMO - There is simply no chance that Bailey will drop Hughes or PJ after one outing. Regardless of this - Hughes was perfectly serviceable, good leads, can kick a goal, worked hard both ways. Dunn seems to be the only one that may possibly come out but I dont think Watts, Morton or Wonna looked ready on the weekend. No change looks reasonably likely, however there may be some injury or niggle that opens up other options. I think the Gizmo will get a run when one of Sculls, Trenners or jordie takes a break to rest up.
  12. Sorry.....WTF? You would drop McKenzie or Scully..... you are taking the [censored] right?
  13. Armchair Experts - JG is a kid in essentially his first full year. Get a hold of the video from Friday and watch his one handed pick up and sprint away, watch how he always finds space to aid in defence, his ability to win contested ball and his execution by hand, then get a hold of yourselves.
  14. I know Scully went mental last night and has the nomination for Rising Star stitched up and that should be highlighted of course, but Jordie was absolutely fkn magic. His tackling and quick hands out of tight contests rarely missed a target. On top of that the boy was everywhere, and even as a huge fan of the kid, I didnt appreciate his engine enough. He's not flying under the radar or anything but im not sure he is getting appropriate recognition. Reminds me of Junior with his tackling pressure and clearance work. You just cant rate that sort of effort highly enough. Well done Jordie
  15. Mate if u follow Nate jones at all he is always on his skateboard being towed by his dog. Buggar all chances of changing that.
  16. Ricky will be wishing he had a signature on paper with someone right now.
  17. Your eagerness to see him is not a logical reason for him to play either . I'll back the experts before your impatience.
  18. Trenners / Scully / Bail / McKenzie hadnt won anywhere before this year. They dont seem to care much where they win and im not going to tell them otherwise. IMO - If we play with anywhere near the intensity we did on saturday we will smash North, who are a very average side. Go Dees!
  19. RobbieF - I spoke to Blease at the game on Saturday, you are right he was limping badly. I asked him about it and he told me he just got a bad corky in the reserves, assured me it wasnt bad enough to keep him out of the following week. FWIW - He thought he went ok in the reserves as well and was looking forward to breaking into the seniors eventually. spoke to J Gysberts as well, that kid has a rude head. Both seemed very excited.
  20. 20/20 Hindsight is beautiful. MFC had their arm forced on QB, Jurrah had to play because...well, he's a footballer and no one else was there. What do we gain by trying to second guess ourselves? There is another thread about this article, and IMO users of Watts puns should be put to death.
  21. Unless Jack gets a really dark tan and some funky hair I dont like his chances. Jack may well deserve it (come round 22) but in all reality its a popularity contest and NicNat is better advertising for the AFL.
  22. Im not going to enter the Cam Bruce skills debate because I think we are currently playing those that merit a game, so when he is due for a rest he will get one.....Morton coming in may raise the question. However can we give away this "dedicated player" arguement please? IMHO - You can be as dedicated as you like, but when its over....its over. Rating your level of club loyalty or dedication shouldnt matter, in fact if you love your club you should make way for the better player/prospect.
  23. Is anyone offering odds on First to be Reinjured Rivers Vs Wonaemirri? Poor pricks pull a muscle when they see their front lawn, let alone a footy field.
  24. When we win a flag I am going to sign him up as a dees member. I'm sure he will see the humour.
