  1. check the Toumpas, Wines, Plowman, O'Rourke threads!
  2. are you saying Bailey and the like made this promise, rpfc?
  3. he named him ahead of his mate Wines? This could be a bit of insider trading or he really thinks Toumpas is as professional as he says he is in his preparation. awesome for dees fans.
  4. agree. originally there was the snippett of the background of Clothier's assistant investigator hinting at a tip off or made aware of the meeting which they followed up on and interrogated. that seems to be now missing.
  5. that's right. Absolute joke. the people with an agenda who have made those investigating aware of 'fresh information', will come to light. Their intentions may have been to punish individuals in doing so. However much larger ramifications may result, by punishing the whole club and it's supporters. They'll have underestimated the fallout. And to think it won't affect the current playing group, they're sadly mistaken. they will have unravelled all the good work undertaken by the Stynes/Mclardy admin. It's not hard to work out who. some have shown their head today, clearly by knowing proceedings of investigation before they bacame public - even those who have shared their knowledge of 186 previosuly here, but nothing further to add today - or so they say.
  6. I would suggest you visit Neelds presser last week on MFC website.
  7. Much like a couple of posters here who also are very critical of Cameron Schwab. Fancy that, Denham is of the same opinion. Maybe he's a member on D'Land.
  8. Well why not say that initially that it's an offer only, rather than intimate it's a "CONFIRMED!" deal.
  9. Other than the footage of Toumpas kicking a goal in the SANFL 2011, does anyone here have any access to other highlights footage of him?
  10. yeah, we gather all that from the previous 20-30 posts before yours.
  11. no, i was mistaken. although melbourne has caught up and could soon surpass sydney in the coming years. which should make the afl re-assess: http://www.theage.com.au/business/our-cities-among-worlds-most-costly-20120612-208az.html
  12. i may be mistaken but wasn't there an article in one of the papers outlining that the city of melbourne had overtaken Sydney as the most expensive city in Australia to live in some months ago?
  13. spent all season playing in the vfl, predominantly forward pocket/half forward.
  14. No he wasn't. swann said, carlton knew nothing of it, melbourne knew nothing of it, he spoke to his manager every day, he knew nothing of it - said it was made up.Swann also said that another article in the sun connecting carlton and raph clarke was also bulltish. silly season everywhere to sell papers.
  15. clark's market value was pick 12, Freo were offering pick 16. It's a mid first round pick, plus a hefty contract. It's not getting him cheap. It's his market value. Other interested parties couldn't match or better it. Clark is much > West value wise. So you're suggestion is seen as lop-sided seeing as you also offered a player up with pick 12 to secure a vast inferior player (West) to Clark.
  16. And your problem is that you're not taking into account those lists and outcomes. Furthermore you used Geelongs defeat of Collingwood in last years GF, as a basis for your argument. Let's not forget how good Geelong are. One of the greatest teams of all. And Collingwood didn't miss by much.
  17. Agree with stance taken, and arguably may have cost us a win in the process.
  18. RIP Jimmy Stynes..an amazing human being, thank you for your efforts and contribution to our club and the lives you helped save from trouble.
  19. Imagine if Melbourne listed the first Chinese player, and he became a regular. would that potentially result in a "ker-ching" for our club ?
