  1. anybody notice Blease retweeted the following - outlining the fact that he mentioned Scully as his choice to watch at the Dees next year in the Age?

RT @elliotswart: See pic - 5. Which young player from YOUR CLUB will catch people's eye next year? Good answer @Sam_Blease t.co/heBfD03

Blease is sending us all a message..

    ..or its total crap :)

  2. What I cant understand ( if this is true) what has the club done to let him down?? Trengove,Taspcott,Watts, etc have all resigned.Did they let them down!

    How is he any different!

If anything he will be higher paid then them if he accepts the offer!

    agree 100%

    weak move by him

  3. Good Riddance Tommy Boy $$$

No great loss,he'll never be a Judd,Ablett or Pendlebury.

He'll be more like a Dal Santo,he's far too outside who handballs too much to teammates under pressure, not a great kick and no good overhead.

I would've been absolutely shattered had it been Trengove.

yeh.. Dal Santo.. pfft.. what a hack.. we dont want him around our team

  4. Key Forward for sure! John Butcher would be great.. but we wont get him!

Tough, quality mid - already getting J Viney!

Small, quick crumbing forward - still got wonna to come back, plus a bunch of others that could do this

Laser booted, quick running defender - if Blease continues his form he will be perfect!

now for all of these players to get older and bigger!

  5. From what i heard from few reliable sources there has definietly been a handshake agreement with Tom Scully and GWS, but then Tom Scully had a change of heart and revealed the club this secret and said he don't want to go to GWS and will sign with the demons at the end of the season then Melbourne demons decided to safe Scully from media and announce a press conference and tell there has been no approach, but few media has found out about it and reveal the story but they hasn't figure out Sculy change his mind and because Scully hasn't sign anything he will sign with the demons at the end of the season.

If i have proven wrong i wouldn't mind every insult that comes my way

i'm 100% sure about my source.

That's why i always say Tom Scully stay with dees.

any chance of telling us who your source is? a player? manager? relation of tom? garry lyon? a guy sweeping the floors at melbourne HQ?

    even a hint?

  6. It was a really good night (glad I flew down from Sydney for it, but feel pretty ordinary today as a result).

Other than what seems already to have been reported here, some of my observations from the night are:

    - Sylvia and the MFC are not very far apart on the numbers, so fingers crossed we'll get that deal done by season's end - Neita said Sylvia's "the most complete player on the list at the moment"; Viney and McLardy also rated him very highly - in short, the MFC wishes to keep him and it seems Sylvia wishes to stay - phew!

    - Max Gawn is very popular with the coaches and the players - he's a bloody tall bloke BTW

    - a few players said that, whilst they quite liked Dean Bailey, the week had become a real chore and it was stale during the week - he made them attend the club between 8am and 4pm each day for technical type lessons and it felt like attending school - a few of them said it was awesome to have Viney at the helm - made it feel like a footy club again and they felt more stimulated and energised already - for eg, the players were 'allowed' to have the afternoon off prior to the function and the following morning off - was like a breath of fresh air for them

    - it was not said to me by anyone, but I formed the view that, if we get some good results in the remaining games, Viney may be tempted to throw his hat in the ring for the senior gig next year - IMO it would be absolutely awesome if he did as he would be a fantastic coach of this club

    - Kelvin Lawrence is a great kid - he may sneak in a game towards the end of the year (despite still being a rookie) - I hope so at least - I sat at his table and no one at that stage had put in a bid for his guernsey, so I bought it (but only after he assured me he'd play 150 senior games for the club)

    - there seems to be a genuine camaraderie amongst the players

    - there are some massive wraps of Watts and McKenzie (but you all know that)

    - Trengove - perhaps enough said already, but IMO this kid is the best recruit we've had in the last decade

Great report mate!!! Posts like this make me love demonland.. great work!

  7. SammyHeraldSun twitter:

Garry Lyon met with the players this morning. Says he told them to "Smile again...you've got a good job". lot of love for Garry at training

in the words of that guy with the boner on street talk: "I LOVE IT!"
