Bring back the damn Demon. I originally liked the whole, "Melbournefc" concept, but I've come to hate it. We're the Demons of Melbourne, not the football club of Melbourne.

Well, I guess they have faith in Newton. Hopefully next year he actually has some urgency on the football field.

Bring back the red jumper with the blue demon across the front... ...oh that's right, we no longer have a mascot!

While I haven't been anywhere near as vocal as I used to be, I love giving it to the opposition, and I can take it just as well as I give it. All for a chuckle. When people get personal and start laying into you for your comments, though, is what gets to me. If an opposition supporter wants to get all aggressive towards Melbourne, so be it, because I'm the same to opposition. I love it.

Lottery for bottom 8 teams. Bottom team gets most chances of winning 1st pick, 9th placed team has least chance. Top 8 go in order of ladder position. You have 5,000 or so balls in a machine, each ball with numbers 9-16, representing ladder position. 3,000 or so of the balls have the number 16, 1,000 have 15, 400 have 14 and you get less and less the higher up the ladder you get until 9.

- Holland in for Newton I honestly can't see Holland playing another game for the MFC - Wonaeamirri in for Sylvia or Bate I wouldn't drop Bate, but Mother Mary needs to be in this team. (hehe, like my nickname for Wonaeamirri?) - White in for Jamar What's the point in this? Jamar is going to be our ruckman for the next few years. Dropping him for a ruckman who is going to retire at seasons end, with only a few weeks in the season left, would be silly. - Petterd in for Bartram Agree on this, but could go either way.

I was wrong about Green as he's having a great year, Bruce has been the same. But Sylvia really hasn't impressed. A real tradeable asset at years end. Package him with a late draft pick for Warnock.

I'm starting to think the same thing about Sylvia...

I'm sorry, but I don't need an explanation as to why McNamee was sacked. Anyone who offers any player $1 mill over 5 years deserves to be sacked. I don't care if it's the Michael Jordan of AFL. Clearly the man had no idea about football or the football business.

I actually laughed. It's pretty funny. If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at? It's pretty much spot on. When the sport started, the club was for the rich people, up until the 60s. From the on in, the club lost its culture.

I'm not at all critical of this. We've got a new guy come in and take control of the organization. If he believes part of it isn't up to his standard or doesn't fit in with what he wants to do, he can change it. No matter how long they've been a part of the company. Macca fit in with Gardner's vision, not Stynes'.

I actually think the show is filmed around lunch time.

Surprised you guys didn't see this coming. Anyway, lot's of positives out of that first half so far. Valenti has played well, Buckley and CJ have continued good form, Garland is holding up strong down back, Davey is all class and Miller is leading well.

He's banned for criticising a player who plays/works for an organisation that he supports? And he's been banned for that? Wow. The code of conduct needs to be look over. Big time. Honestly guys, if he's been banned for "harping on like a broken record" about C. Bruce, then that totally defeats the purpose of this message board and internet forums in general, PARTICULARLY this one, which is a group of Melbourne supporters who debate and discuss the MFC. I'm disappointed if that's the case.
