Our fall-off over the past 2 years is probably on par with Hawthorn's from 2001-2004. They went from a Prelim team to a disgrace. They rebuilt and have now won the flag. Can we do the same? Before our terrible year on the bottom, Hawthorn was probably the next worst over the past 8 or so years when they were down there. Can we rebuild AND win a flag. Rebuilding obviously just isn't enough.

Let's say St. Kilda fished around for offers for Dal Santo during trade week this year (totally possible imho). Would you want him at the MFC and who would you trade for him? Daniel Bell, Michael Newton and 25+ draft pick for Dal Santo? Think they would take that? Maybe Green and filler for Dal Santo?

The whole "clash" theory has been conjured up by the AFL to give teams an excuse to make another jumper that increase public merchandise sales slightly. They have another product to sell.

I'm confident next year will be worse than this year. We're losing several veteran and experienced players, and replacing them with 18-20 yo's with little to no experience. I'd be surprised if we get more than 2 wins next year.

14-16th. I really can't see how anyone could expect any higher, and it's part of the growing pains. We're rebuilding. We need 2-3 years of solid rebuilding and you have to expect bottom placings. I'm not judging that on the performances of this season only. We're losing plenty of experienced, veteran players. We're going to replace them with inexperienced youngsters. I wouldn't be surprised if we only get 2 wins next season to be honest.

I'm pretty sure the AFL has a tiebreak system whereas the two teams involved are compared with their matches played against each other. We only played once in which we won, so if such an instance occured, we would overtake WC. If we played each other twice, with one win each, it would probably be greatest winning margin or whoever scored the most points as an away team.

Your team is flawed because having Jared Rivers in your starting 22 for round 1 insinuates that he will be fit and injury free, which is impossible.

By your logic (OP), every player has under performed, really.

The further he gets away from the MFC, the better. He's a good spokesmen, and that's all. He was at the MFC 4 years too many.
