Who would take any notice of what Rita Panihi says anyway. She is such a know all and knows nothing about football. I take less notice of what she says than "Kero" (love that). I am absolutely dumbfounded she could be on a sports radio station. She is a social commentator (she has to be blonde - apologies to all the blonds on demonland) not a sports commentator and I think SEN could no better than getting Emma Q on to comment on football like her ladyship does on AW

balance training great for the core.

Heard "Eddie" sprouting that they were hoping to have 50,000 members by the end of the year and that they were 7000 ahead of the total same time last year. He also made mention of the Club trying to cater for those people who did not go to games - apart from the three game membership does anyone know what type of memberships they are offering to those people who do not go to games(not interstate of country memberships). He also said that he had emailed Caro and congratulated her a couple of weeks ago about the quality of her journalism - yeah but he forgot to ring her when she mentioned Swans name in the same sentence as drugs.

Dont forget Perth. It can get really hot over there in early season games. On NZ the game will never succeed over there. They are only interested in Rugby because they are so good at it and they can at least beat Australia at something. There are some minor AFL leagues over there but they are usually ex-pats playing. There may be a little interest in the initial game but that interest will not be sustained. Rugby is just such a well organised sport over there and the All Black players are held up as gods. If you think the AFL have thrown the big bucks at GWS to make it succeed they will have to throw even bigger ones at a team in NZ. This idea that AFL to be successful has to go international seems ludicrous to me. Sorry to all for being off topic.

Same as you - reading Demonland - I sleep better - its like a cup of hot milk!!!!! -
Love it. It could be the MFC "haka" however I don't think it will fill the opposition with fear.

Maybe we could get a chorus of Zorba in the Grand Old Flag. That should swing it.

It may" have been expected behaviour by his people" however he maintained that he wanted to become a role model fo his people and part of that growth was to be able to live by the general community standards. He obviously did not understand that the correct pathway back to his family and South Australia was initially to tell his Club (who had stuck by him through out his Court ordeal and through other issues that came up whilst recuperating from his "wrist" injury) that he needed to be back with his family for various reasons,. The Club and supporters would completely understand his reasons but it was the way it was handled that was all wrong. I would have thought that his mentor would have advised him otherwise as he was very good at advising him when to be inerviewed by Eddie. I don't harbour any animosity towards LJ as I also was part of the wider group here who supported the purchase of his guernsey. I still believe it was an absolutely wonderful thing that we achieved and I personally know that Liam was thrilled. But if we as a Club had turned our backs on Liam throughout all his issues then I would understand his reasons for walking out. I hope Liam can find that brilliance again. Maybe now that he has seen what is expected from an AFL footballer during his time at the Club in 2012 under Neeld he will find the strength of character and become the role model that his community definitely need.

FNQ impressive work. Presume you took a notepad. Interesting reading of the group dynamics given that you have not seen them train this year. Loved Dunney's comment. Feb can't come soon enough. -

Not just good but the best news -
I was on the ski fields (I know, I know - please no elitist comments) of NZ listening whilst a family member held a radio to the phone. I nearly skied off into a ravine but I knew there would be better days!!!!!!!

I love the idea but the Strawberry O'Dwyer Award seems a little bit long winded and doesnt really give a fair indication of Rodney's attributes (which were many). What about "The Biff" or is that too politically incorrect these days.

Come on Old. It might be a nice outing for you. Get out of that Commission flat, in the fresh air although watch the Pork Pie hat. It does get a bit blowy out Casey way. -
I quote" According to Richardson, ......., it was the lure of Dyer's number that led to him choosing Richmond over Melbourne in 1964" "Melbourne had offered me an MCC Membership which was a big thing but it was Jack's number that got me over the line to Richmond." Wrong Richo. Do you think we offered a MCC Membership to Dawsey to get him over the line. No, no there were no outside incentives not like all the extra cardboard boxes that Visy deliver to the Carlton players.

But maybe it doesn't get to court because our fearless legal representation will go in and go through the AFL's determination with a fine tooth comb and point out to the AFL all the bits that would not stand up in a "legal" court rather than the kangaroo court that the AFL have conducted. The AFL in their wisdom decide secretly that their findings would not stand up in court and therefore release a finding of no case to answer. Well, I can dream.
