Robbo this afternoon on SEN said today or tomorrow but then quoted Garry Lyon as saying this could be going on for a very long time ie into the Courts we go.

Apparently that quote was on an early morning breakfast radio programme last week as it was tweetede/text/emailed from "friends" who support opposition Clubs especially the Filth. My reply was simply don't be too smug - early days. My reply to Filth supporters in particular cannot be duplicated here for fear of retribution from our Mods.

A couple of weeks ago I was at a function where an official from another Club was also attending. During the evening the wife of the official dropped a clanger along the same lines. The official wasn't happy. Obviously just hearsay though!

I am seeing a fine for CC which of course the Club will pay. The Club,CS and DB cleared because the charges is so subjective and CC is the only identity that has made a confirmed statement. If there is a smoking gun well ... who knows where we will be at the end of the year.

Also Garry's comment at the end when he said something like it will be in the courts for a long time. Yes this is going to the courts unless a very good offer is put on the table to the Club. She also made a somewhat faux pas when Barrett questioned her about the charges and she said she wasnt sure and then at the last minute and quietly said - "yet". What her sauces are too busy with other matters.

I agree. Last year I thought it was quiet notabale that Neeld was not saying we - like he had not quite bought into the Club at that point. Obviously he is one of us now

BB the problem is they obviously get told more than we do and at the moment we are all clutching at straws because none of us actually know what the AFL will do to us. I do agree he is a lightweight though.

Red what impact does the argument "selective investigation" have on our case if we do go to court. To me (being legally challenged as I am!) it does not impact on the charge at all. Please tell me I am wrong. Also what would the other Clubs care as long as they are not in coutr. They would not give a rat's. Some would see the impact on the Club as giving them another easy beat. It's dog eat dog out there. I am starting to get really worried as to the affect this is going to have on the Club as a whole - players, staff and marketability - if it does not go away in the immediate future.
