  1. A team with heart.
  2. There's a good reason for that in case you have missed the rest of the year....
  3. 7 goal to 1 goal in the third quarter. Dees by 8pts Where did that come from?
  4. He's had plenty of games his year to do something. Anything. No spirit. No fight. Soft.
  5. Garland Forward and Watts back...
  6. Surprised Davey wasn't subbed off. Would do more on the bench than he has all day. Toiges must be crud if we are in front.
  7. 1 kick 2 HB's Which bit puzzles you?
  8. Davey 1 kick. WTF? $400k a year for that?
  9. Wells was pick 2 Meesen pick 8 Bowler pick 6 Thorp pick 2 Butcher pick 8
  10. UNDERACHIEVERS No surprises. No 1 Colin Sylvia No 9 Cale Morton Congrats guys. Pull your fingers out.
  11. I don't know but can guess as I have had some experience with these things. They say in politics you never have a Royal COmission unless you know the outcome so I surmise that Schwab ordered the report at a cost of $80k and then didn't like what was in it. There would have been explosive comments and conclusions about the management of the club and possibly even about the leadership of the players (ie players criticising players). As such it would have been deemed too toxic to release but hopefully the Board has it and is acting on it as they are OUR representatives. It doesn't benefit the club overall to release such toxic things but it will come out over time as footy clubs leak like sieves. That's why journos always have the inside goss. SOmeone will want to turn the heat up on someone else. Sometimes even just to deflect heat from themselves. Standard office politics. It would be nice to think we are all Melbourne and fighting for the same cause but life isn't like that. And not everyone in the office barracks for Melbourne.
  12. We have done a review.Schwab shelved it remember??
  13. Trade Bait pure and simple.. Melb "Oh yeah, has played 60 games, key to Melbourne's future" Sucker Club somewhere in AFL land "OK we'll offer a fourth round pick for him" Melb "Done, where do we sign"
  14. DOn Argus was asked to be President and declined (he was Chairman of BHP at the time). When no-one else could be found Jimma stepped up. Is the type of guy we need. A non-footballer connected businessman. Would be outstanding if we could convince him.
  15. No-one could state we have improved this year. It's simply a crock to suggest it. In EVERY facet (except for games won) we are worse. Our favourable draw meant we have won more games but in terms of sides beaten or competitiveness or honourable losses we are disgracefully worse. In effort and intensity it breaks my heart to see how soft we re as a club.
  16. Haven't had time to read the whole thread so sorry if this has been stated. The match review said Clint could have been best on ground had he kicked the three goals. There's the rub. Sadly for Clint he is one too many without foot skills. You could maybe tolerate him if we weren't so deficient. But Clint, Jordie, MOrton, Joel Mac, Rivers, Garland (often), Jones, Bennell, Scully, Grimes and Strauss (yet to see the laser foot) being poor kickers means some have to go.
  17. Hmmm. A fwd that can't kick or get a game at Port. Got any more suggestions?
  18. Morton - disposal rarely improves in players. Heart even less so. Sylvia - yeah, he's had 8 years. Let's wait some more to see if he can improve. Duh? Maric - dime a dozen. Move on. Barty - weekend game showed why we can't keep him. 3 critical goals simply butchered. Same old same old. I wish Morton, Sylvia and Davey had his heart. In fact I think we should send them off to surgery now so they'll be ready for next season.
  19. Who has led the club this year? No-one. Beemer maybe but when the heat has been on he has been wanting. The only on field leaders have been Trengove, Howe, Jordie and Watts. Davey deserves no excuses. I have no idea why you would include him there. He has been poor all year and was on the verge of getting dropped when he got an injury. His performance on the weekend was not that of a leader. They even highlighted his poor effort on OWAAT. And Bartram's game on the weekend shows why we will never be a top club if we stick with players like that. Cruelled us with skill errors. Tried really hard as he always does but just unacceptable and must be moved on. As for Morton, trade week can't come quick enough for me.
  20. Not the year for a cleanout unfortunately. We get rid of a bunch of spuds for what?....... More spuds. Our first pick will be what, 35?? Not saying we can't pick up a good player but a raft of them. Na.h
  21. I don't get. They were "flying" in pre-season. FMD. What a soft club we are.
  22. Not the year to be drafting sad to say. And trading I suspect should happen but won't.
  23. You're dreaming bud. Has been shiite all year. name me one game in 2011 where he has played half decently??
  24. +1 Unbelievable draw. No momentum or game plan in the pre-season. And we stuff it up. Pathetic. And from Todd Viney " we are not worried about game plan we are just trying to build bigger bodies". Even more pathetic. OUR LOSING CULTURE SUCKS. WE ARE A SOFT CLUB. Demand more peeps.
  25. LAZY, LAZY PLAYER. NO 2ND OR 3RD EFFORTS. Hungry and full of himself. Not worth $4.50 let alone $450k.
