They had three number 1 pics from 3 spoons. We never did that. And I can't wait for the "see that's what you get when you tank" revisionists........

What we might find is that there isn't enough evidence to get the players but the coaches, administrators and board are banned for life. And the club is sanctioned very heavily - ie banned from games etc. This will effectively be whacking the players as well The facts are: There is evidence of a doping regime. They can't find the records. (I still laugh at the "we don't know what they took but we know it wasn't illegal") They were searching for a competitive edge. They employed dodgy charlatans They by-passed their club doctor They have obfuscated and attempted to hinder the investigation The EFCs behaviour has been deplorable. Judgement time coming. And another season or two wasted. And don't forget Worksafe is still going....

Don't forget, they still have the blood samples for the day when they can test for some of the peptides....

Yes it is.

There is your answer right there. Good when you can answer your own questions isn't it?

Re Jamar and Spencil I suspect Roos wanted Spencil to have a game before we meet the Hawks as Spence I reckon matches up well against McEvoy. Just sayin...
-
What about Watts? He is a dud.
-
WADA had to do this. Even of there is a lack of evidence, they have dfferent investigative powers and I understand different ability to compel witnesses. I suspect the worst outcome will be that they trash the EFC and the AFL for appalling governance, lack of oversight, lack of records and a drug regime that defies modern standards. They will use it to kick the AFL and their lax policy and hold the federal giovernment to account for poor procedures and processes relating to drugs in sport. It will indeed be a black day for Australian sport and our 'holier than thou' attitude when it comes to the Olympics and other drug taking countries wil be shoved back in our faces. And deservedly so. The EFC have adopted a taken no prisoners approach and we, the rest of the decent spots loving people, are the ones who will suffer massive reputational damage. I hate the EFC with a passion. Turd even more. I hope they get their comeuppance and that Hurd will be forced to resign and never work anywhere near a sporting club ever again.

Bernie the attorney is an ex-boxer and about as tough as they come...Jeff got a good beak -
As much as I would like to see this, the likely outcome is that they try it 4 or 5 times and then revert back to their old ways with their confidence completely shattered.

We haven't got a great track record with AAs I would get my hopes up....

Well that weekend fa rked up my tipping..........................

And Freeman has done what exactly? He hasn't played a game.......

The Hawks score around 60% of their goals from turnovers. Matt Jones would give them a win single handedly.
-
Then why were you commenting on my post in reply to Golly's that said MJones should replace JKH?
-
Nah. Needs to be taught a lesson or two.
-
That is gold!
-
Yep. JKH was useless. Did you watch Matt Jones yesterday? If you think that one change is going to solve our problems you are in Dreamland

So we kick 1 goal in 2 quarters of football, ROos swings the changes and we kick 1 goal in 2 quarters of football. Not really according to plan was it.... Aside from the umpires making the game unwatchable - particularly umpire 6 who awarded some baffling frees to the Swans in the first quarter and ignored the same ones that should have been paid to Melbourne - our running was non-existent and kicking to the first option was totally abandoned. Numerous times we would get the pill and one of our players would break and it would be ignored. As so often happens the players upfield stop leading - what's the point. The stop start rubbish is back to our worst days. And we missed a number of chances in the first 10mins that would have put some scoreboard pressure and doubt into the Swans mind. We are simply not capable of putting sides under the pump. Coupled with 3 goals in the 1st that the Swans should not have gotten: 1 When Spencer went with Salem to attack the ball carrier and the Swans got it to Pike who nailed a tough shot. 2. The toe poke goal to Tippet that is simply dumb and on forgivable football 3. The free to Tippet in the first agains Dunn Also in the first Vanders missed a relatively easy goal. Three kick to our fwd line that missed targets completely and were turned over. And for the life of me why McVeigh wasn't manned up I will never know. He tore us to shreds. What a wasted 3 hours of my life that was.

Yep that'll fix things......

Interesting but Roos still only wants to play 1 ruckman. Will be watching Spenc with interest to see what he gives around the ground. I do like his mongrel and attack on the contest. From the pre-season reports he is as fit as he has ever been. he is 5cm taller than Jamar and 3kg heaveier and 6 yrs younger. Jamar doesn't give much around the ground and at best mullifies the centre clearance work so its a great chance for Spence to show his improvement.
-
Talk about contradicting yourself in the one post. Fairly typical of your posts I note. So Spenc has been in good/ripping form for the past 5 weeks. Gawn has had one good game. Toump has done everything asked of him. Had a blinder of a first half and had no influence in the second half. Previous weeks has played well. Riley has one good game and he's in by your logic. Thank the lord you have nothing to do with drafting or trading. There's a reason why they preferred Spenc. I suggest you watch the game on Saturday night to find out why.

Just watched the replay. Cannot believe how badly Watts played. We would have been better with a witches hat. How he gets a game this week is beyond me. Mitchie did SFA. Jamar had no impact around the ground. At the game I thought he battled pretty well but on review he was outclassed. Pederson did nothing. Grimes was largely on Mayne. The amount of space and time we gave to Mundy and Fyffe is simply unacceptable.

Remind me again how many tackles Viv had? Oh yeah that's right, none. His opponent often ran straight away from him without much of a chase,,,,
