He's a country boy so maybe unlikely to have big tickets on himself. Maybe he is repeating what he has been told.

Previously younger players or players coming back from injury might have been the sub. I could see the possibility of senior players now staying on the ground longer and younger players or players coming back from injury rotating more. The resting ruckman in the forward pocket might make a comeback as well....

I believe you can make as many changes as you like at each of the quarter breaks. So it s not really 90 rotations. Still it will be interesting to watch who has modelled the changes and adapted accordingly. Someone always jumps the gun and gets an edge on the comp. Wouldn't it be nice if it was us!

I'm sure if you applied the 'schoolyard' test and lined them up against a wall Selwood would be picked before Jones......

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
The Jack Watts greeting wasn't planned. It just happened that he ran on from the interchange and the ball was headed towards him. Coincidence really. Way too much has been made of this.

But we are supposedly looking for competetive players....so maybe he fits the bill.... Personally I am wary about the late bolter at the draft table... 6 months good form to win the Morrish is great but would want to ensure his pedigree from a long way back is good...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Oliver is a real bullock. Love his attack on the footy and the player. Good evasive skills, good amount of time and space. Its an impressive highlights reel. Doesn't seem to have the 'silk' factor which you probably want to see at a pick 3 but it seems you like you would get a bona fide inside mid workhorse in the mould of, say, a Dane Swan or Oliie Wines....

I always have to laugh at this comment. Best available now? or Best player in 2, 3 or 4 years? Every draft in retrospect is vastly different to the actual draft......
