  1. I think Nathan Jones has probably got him covered so it is a no from me. Btw , How is it that you were watching a movie with your wife? Don't you guys have the opposite tastes like every other couple? Is Sharknado a chick flick?
  2. Yes. You couldn't imagine the recruiters being interviewed after the draft saying " Well, we definitely recruited some shite players tonight"!
  3. Nice Demons tie adorned by Jason Dunstall on the telecast!
  4. Rubbish! But beautifully spoken! Not sure where you get the "Jones is an introvert" line. Do you sit anywhere near the fence MCG on game day? Nathan Jones leads by example and voice. Very vocal, leads by both voice and action out on the field. I think he is a big chance to get the Captaincy role or share it in 2014. As for Neeld, my take is that he ran things the way he thought was right and gave it his best shot. He was a poor fit for the role when he took over but as they say "hindsight is a wonderful thing". The thing I saw that was really strange in the season gone by was that players had lost confidence around half time of round one!!!! Heads had already dropped and they went about their football as their confidence was shot! That was really bizarre! What did the coaching staff do to them in the pre season to make them respond in this way. We're they getting bagged by the coaching staff pre season rather than encouraged. We're they petrified to make a mistake? James Frawley was one notable but there were many others. Did anyone else notice this? I know it happens in football that players drop their heads and lose their confidence however I have never seen it happen half time of round one. What did Neeld and co do to destroy their confidence pre season? Moving forward I believe Roos is a afr better man manager than Neeld and expect to see the players reasonably bouyant and felling good about themselves at the start of the season as they should.
  5. Pedo needs to find a bit more courage. He is definitely capable of being a decent AFL footballer, but does he want it badly enough to put his body at risk when required.
  6. To be fair to Don, I don't think he had any aspirations to be President of the MFC and only took it on because Jimmy was deteriorating rapidly before everybody's eyes. Good on you Don for putting your hand up and I will never criticise anyone who is willing to taking something on and giving it their best shot in very trying circumstances. If I ever bump into Don at the footy I will express these thoughts to him in person and give him a big pat on the back!
  7. We will get something very decent at pick 9 this draft. I'm just rapt we got Dom Tyson!
  8. Instead of the blazer , how about a red and blue safari suit and compliment it with an MFC logo'd pith helmet?
  9. All starts from decent admin structure hence the transformation that is going on now. Poor admin means poor recruiters being chosen, poor coaches appointed and poor players being recruited to the club.
  10. I would prefer somewhere with a warmer climate.
  11. Yes and they don't stain the suede elbow patches of your tweed jacket either!
  12. Too many "Gin and Tonic" swilling pheasant hunters around the place in those days. Takes a long time to weed out that culture. Not enough of the"roll the sleeves up and get the hands dirty" types which is why we haven't won a flag since 1964. Hopefully more culture change for us coming up soon and then we may taste some success.
  13. Bestie from Casey would be worth a look imo.
  14. I thought we traded exceptionally well. I was very pleased with the outcomes. Time will tell I guess.
  15. From highlights I saw the ones that impressed me the most were: 1.Freeman 2. Bomptelli ? 3. Dunstan I think Freeman could have an immediate impact , which will suit the MFC. Long term I think Bomptelli will be a gun.
  16. At least McStay is from Vic and there won't be the the McGo Home factor. Sorry, I'll get my coat....
  17. We as Demons need to hold our nerve a liitle and put a liitle trust in this new administration to sort out the best outcome for the club.I understand why many get jittery considering the suffering we have been put through for more years than seems fair. We have litlle trust in our administration because we have been burnt so many times in the past. What we need here is a litttle faith and maybe we sit back and enjoy the ride for a while. From my perspective, the new management has hardly put a foot wrong in the short time they have been together and they are still strengthening. For mine Peter Jackson and co have been outstanding!
  18. This is a wind up surely! Email your suggestion to Roosy and let me know what he says.
