WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DAVID RODAN
Deeman replied to Demon Head's topic in Melbourne Demons
We finally have a replacement for Tom Scully! -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRIS DAWES
Deeman replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yesterday, when Moloney went to Brisbane I said the average IQ's of both clubs went up but with Dawes, ours has soared again but Collingwood ... pffft! -
Another triumph for FA. This is a unique occasion when the average IQs of both clubs involved in the Moloney move north have increased.
-
You went to Assumption College, right?
-
We will ... as soon as you blokes throw Pendelbury into the deal.
-
Reckon Winfield might be a bit of a smokey, myself.

I suspect the trade and draft period will start with hope and expectation and fizzle out as all trade peiods have in the past.

Who is running for us in the Grand Final sprint?
Deeman replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I suspect the club has decided to add a bit of spice to the grand final sprint and our runner Mr. TBC will rock up in a mask like they do in professional wrestling. During the race he will run out of his lane, knock over his competitors and take out the sprint before pulling the mask off to reveal his true identity. A sign of the new aggressive MFC moving forward into the future. -
The once only Nudge/Chili rumor round up
Deeman replied to Tolstoys Nudge's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have a fantastic idea. If we get young Casboult to the club then we should book the team on a Yarra River cruise and get the whole lot of them totally shickered. Then we chain Levi to the two captains and fill him up with more grog as part of an initiation ceremony, and then ... What's that you say? It's been done before? Oh ... -
The Free Agency/Trade/Draft Rumour File
Deeman replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The Hawthorn board are waiting until after the grand final before deciding on whether to launch major legal proceedings against the Melbourne Football Club under trade practices legislation for deceptive and misleading conduct in allowing it to poach Cameron Bruce and Kyle Cheney from the club at the end of the 2010 season. -
Brynne. My gosh, I've seen better heads on the end of a hook!!!
-
I can confirm he's booked in for the surgery on Tuesday but why on earth is it happening in a maternity hospital?
-
With so many of the usual suspects gone or soon to go, Russell would fit in nicely as the Demonland whipping boy. Get him!
-
I believe Addam Maric's free.
-
I used to be paranoid about the whole media and Melbourne thing too but now I reckon they're just out to get us.
-
Please check out the character and integrity of the players you recruit. Tom Scully's decision to turn back on Demons and move to GWS hurt Jim Stynes

I thought he went to London for the Olympic Games and won a silver medal in the long jump.

What point was On the Couch trying to make?
Deeman replied to The Third Eye's topic in Melbourne Demons
The Meese is weighing in on this? Good heavens! Surely the very fact that he got a game would have to be exhibit A if they ever launched a tanking charge! -
Tune in to SEN now - KB to bring up tanking sanctions for Melb.
Deeman replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm worried this is going to destabilise the club so much that we'll finish last and we'll end up getting picks 1 & 2 in the national draft. -
Absolutely, as Mr. Demetriou said, there's no tanking going on in the AFL and that's good enough for me.

The problem with Darwin is that the conditions sap the players so that they perform poorly in the weeks after the trip. I would rather we explore a more hospitable climate. It's a pity the money's not around and we can't have a boutique type stadium at Casey to cater for games against interstate clubs where we can make the big money on home games (a la Geelong at Simmonds Stadium) that we could turn into a real fortress.

Where's Serhat Temel these days? Any chance of having a look at him now that he's matured?
-
I believe there was a poster about in those days called TYR (the Y standing for "young") who was a big critic of George Haines and was imploring the club's committee to appoint one Ned Kelly Junior as coach instead.
