  1. Gone McDonald, Langdon, Hunter, Chandler, Jordan. Biggest blunder was picking McDonald, he is cooked, surely Grundy would have provided more. The end of a one premiership era. Sure they tried hard but having a 193cm wingman like Acres who can run mark and kick was the difference. I have been really disappointed in Langdon this year. His kicking is woeful and Hunter is not the answer. He lacks penetration with his kicks and is not fast enough. Both he and Langdon are too small.
  2. No still waiting for the email. Perhaps i will ring to enquire. Update Just rang You should receive an email in an hour.!
  3. I went with my wife to this game. She is 50:50 about football and I certainly chose the wrong game to attend. She is a harsh critic and picked out poor old Max to critique. Max did not let her down with his goal kicking efforts and his general slowing of the play after a mark. His pathetic attempt at a checkside kick at goal when he should have handballed to players in the clear was not great for a captain and then to laugh about it as well, topped it off. It seems it's a joke to miss goals at the Demons, aka Salem. The second problem was the Magpie crowd screaming for BALL every time a Demon was in possession and the umpires falling for it in critical areas of the ground namely in front of the Pies goal. We had a particularly annoying group of Magpie supporters behind us in Bay 53 Level4 calling out, Brown you vegan "F..K" every time he went near the ball.. To me the disappointment of this result on Friday night sits second behind the 87 preliminary final which we also should have won.
  4. I have the same situation. Now i have to waste time trying to get a refund.
  5. Thanks, see how I go with Ticketek tomorrow. They are in M50 Row F
  6. Got on with my computer just after 9 am and was successful in getting all the way to the end, putting in credit card details etc. After a delay it through me out and said i would need to refresh the browser and start again. I did that and kept trying to get in for another 45 mins with no luck. I then went on with my phone and got straight through and booked 2 tickets with a confirmation email sent at 9.52am. Now at 8.10pm tonight i get another email with the original two tickets I was booking. Now I have 4 tickets 2 in N8 and 2 in M50. What a joke!
  7. Jayden Laverde The 190cm midfielder Roos yearns for. Shoe in for pick 3.
  8. News on James Battersby http://www.afc.com.au/news/2014-08-01/batters-up Would be a handy BP player in my opinion. Worth a rookie pick
  9. No DH policy applies in his case!
  10. We should know what we would take for each player. Top 10 (4,6.7) pick for Howe would be a steal. I guess 23 would have gone with him.
  11. I am wondering whether Trengove wanted to go to the Tigers initially or felt betrayed that the Demons after being approached by the Tigers were willing to trade him. I guess if you the club only values you 9 places in the ND then why would you want to stay with your club. Therefore he was resigned to joining the Tigers and told them he was looking forward to joining a club that actually wanted him. What happens now at the end of 2015, when he is out of contract. Will we offer him another contract if his foot is better, or will he say stuff you, I want to go somewhere else. I would say his faith in the Demons has been shattered and he will leave at the end of next year. Do you blame him?
  12. 6 Tyson 5 Cross 4 Jamar 3 Vince 2 Jones 1 Howe
  13. Max is a Wagga Wagga boy. Just finished year 12. This was in the Wagga Daily Advertiser today. http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/1937077/king-drafted-to-demons/?cs=149
  14. Have to agree on Spencer, you were the only one to have mentioned him so far. He one nearly every knockout and Jones and Viney were the benefactors. He also tries bloody hard. I like him. Davis is a backman, why play him forward. Should have been swapped for Watts or Dunn.
  15. Can we get over this childish school thing and concentrate on the real issues. Finding the right coaching group and Improvement of and development of our playing list. I don't give a flying f... which school they went to, I only care about their football ability thank you!
  16. "Dunn, Spencer, Byrnes, Gillies, Watts, Davey, Jetta, Bail, Rodan, Tapscott, Sylvia, Couch", We must trade Watts. Sylvia (FA) will probably go. Give (may have to pay) Jamar to GWS. Persevere with Spencer, Tappscott. The rest can go for nothing!
  17. Out: Trengove Davey Kent Clisby Pedersen Dunn In: Magner Garland Terlich Davis Tynan Taggert
  18. No he kicked it to the man on the mark. A feeble effort from the Captain of the MFC. New coach, new captain, new players, bring on 2014!
  19. I cringe when he is at the centre square bounce. All he does is look at his man and then his man gets the ball and runs away. Our midfield is more intent on watching their opponents than getting the ball. We need some terriers to get the ball. I am afraid Trengove is not a midfielder, never was, never will be. He played on the HFF in South Australia.
  20. Darling/Cook Watts/Natanui Scully/Martin Oh dear!!!
  21. This team did not play Round 17 for Melbourne. How do you reckon they would go against the team that did. B Bell Garland Wheatley HB Buckley Frawley Grimes C Blease Sylvia Strauss HF Jetta Watts Green F Wona Robbo Meesen R Jamar McLean Maric I/c McNamara Bail Hughes Spencer
  22. Watts is not the only boy growing. NikNat is now 200.9cm and 94kg. He is now a genuine ruckman size with complimentary leap.
  23. West Coast, Freo urged to snap up Swan Nicholas Naitanui WEST Coast premiership utility Chris Waterman has appealed to West Coast and Fremantle to keep brilliant Swan Districts teenager Nick Naitanui in WA. From todays Perth newspaper. Natanui is wanted in the West
  24. Are these the sort of stats we think will satisfy the Demons and justify Watts as No 1 pick. For me it has to be Rich or Nik Nat Jack Watts While Playing for Sandringham Dragons in 2008 TAC Cup Add to myFootywebSeason Statistics M Last Gls GLR Bhd NB KE KIE HE HIE HR Tks FF FA HO CM UCM 5 31/08/2008 5 - 2 - 41 22 18 7 45 10 3 7 3 5 17 Game LogDate/Time Played For Opposition No Gls Bhd B KE KIE HE HIE HR Tks FF FA HO CM UCM Sat 28/Jun Sandringham Dragons Gippsland Power 11 2 2 - 5 3 3 1 2 1 1 2 - 3 3 Sun 10/Aug Sandringham Dragons North Ballarat Rebels 11 - - - 13 4 4 1 13 1 - 1 1 - 4 Sat 16/Aug Sandringham Dragons Northern Knights 11 - - - 7 6 4 3 12 1 1 1 - - 2 Sat 23/Aug Sandringham Dragons Gippsland Power 11 3 - - 7 5 2 1 7 6 1 1 1 - 4 Sun 31/Aug Sandringham Dragons Dandenong Stingrays11 - - - 9 4 5 1 11 1 - 2 1 2 4 45 Handball receives, 5 goals , 41 effective kicks, 22 ineffective kicks playing against 17 year olds.
