Would be top 5 in this draft. There are some very good bottom agers floating around. Nick Watson from Eastern Rangers is probably one of the most talented non-indigenous small forwards for a long time. He is very small though. He had a great battle with South Australian bottom-ager Alex Holt who looked excellent. Their matchup reminded me of when James Frawley (Vic Country) played on Shane Edwards (SA) many championships ago. Holt would go high in this draft I think too. SA also has Ashton Moir who is a chance to go number 1 next year as a Ugle-Hagan type. And WA had some impressive bottom-agers. Mitchell Edwards, their ruckman, could be a very high pick and Clay Hall did some good things. He's going to be a good player, among some of their other promising bottom-agers.

Josh Weddle is getting no love from anyone but has been fantastic in the championships and Jovan Petric could be a real draft bolter if he has a good second half of the year. Vic Country - Mitch Szybkowski - 186cm - big bodied midfielder, uses the ball well by foot and is a good decision maker in the open but don't like the defensive or spread sides to his game. Doesn't burst away from pursuit on gameday as well, so needs to test well at combine. Wildly over-rated Jaxon Binns - 182cm - good work-rate/athletic profile suits AFL profile for wingman/running type - reminds a bit of Blake Acres. Ball use inconsistent. Jhye Clark - 180cm - Good well-rounded midfielder, no area outstanding, but does everything well. Top 10 chance. Noah Long - 178cm - quick half-forward, pretty good around goals. Clubs gravitating more and more to these types. Jacob Konstanty - 176cm - Soccer background, has tricks, touch of class, but very small. Some clubs will like him. Oliver Hollands - 183cm - good inside/outside mix. Very good runner and skill level good enough. Could go higher than a lot expect. Top 10 chance. Do Gold Coast pair him with his brother? Ted Clohesy - 182cm - Geelong Falcons star but bit one dimensional through champs versus his reputation. Good size for a mid though. Worrisome lack of X-factor. Brayden George - 186cm - very good medium forward, strong in the contest and dominating some NAB games. Jonti Schuback - 183cm - think clubs will like the way he moves, can run and carry. But what is he? Rebounding half-back/winger? Toby McMullin - 185cm - son of Ian McMullin, wing/forward, has the pace and penetrating by foot. Chance Felix Fogaty - 198cm - big key back with a bit of poise. Very light but once he fills out could be a very good player. Project. Will Parkhouse - 194cm - very good size for a key back, moves well and kicks and rebounds OK. Showed something. Aaron Cadman - 194cm - big key forward, leads out well and can finish. Good mobility and terrific size. Could be over-drafted because will be solid citizen at worst in key role. Henry Hustwaite - 194cm - tall, skinny midfielder with a bit of polish and run. Good tools to work with but will take time James Van Es - 196cm - big key back, done some very good things. Clubs will like him. Under-rated versus internet. Olivier Northam - 195cm - forward/ruck, looks untidy but is a footballer. Would like him a bit taller but draftable. Max Knobel - 204cm - a ball of clay ruckman, looks a lot like his father but hard to tell, being how skinny he is. Will take a lot of time. Might be one to stash on a rookie list for multiple years and cross fingers. Coby Burgiel - 183cm - decent all-round player, versatile but not special in any one area. Chance Finn Emile-Brennan - 181cm - good pace, ball use but will take time/very slight. Has the modern AFL game feel to him. Rebounding half-back. Caleb Mitchell - 187cm - Big-bodied mid, played one of the games of the NAB Cup season, not sure. Vic Metro Blake Drury - 178cm - red-headed stepchild. Small but a footballer's footballer midfielder. Like him, but what is he at AFL level. Alwyn Davey - 180cm - son of Alwyn, tied to Bombers, has some tricks but a bit haphazard/flakey. Could be good small forward with maturity. Over-rated on what i've seen but will be bid for. Oli Hotton - 181cm - son of Trent, had brilliant championships, good all-round player and athlete. Versatile. Top 10 chance. George Wardlaw - 182cm - midfield bull, been injured but extremely highly-rated Will Ashcroft - 182cm - son of Marcus, tied to Brisbane, incredible work rate/desire. Good inside outside/mix a more skilful/less combative Jack Viney. If elects to go Lions, they will match at any pick. Charlie Clarke - 182cm - small forward, good balance/kick and has a bit of grunt about him. Some clubs will like him. Darcy Edmends - 183cm - has a touch of class, good kick, nice sidestep. Winger/flanker. Under-rated? Harry Sheezel - 184cm - very classy/smooth mover and versatile. Good setup for the modern game. Can he play at stoppages determines where he goes, how valuable an asset he is. Top 10 certainty. Ben Hempel - 187cm - booming left foot kick. Medium half-back. Clubs will like his physical tools but a very flaky footballer. Hard to place him. Cam McKenzie - 187cm - well-rounded mid, has a bit of Ben Hobbs about him. Good player. Elijah Tsatas - 187cm - running rampant in NAB league, classy utility ideally suited to modern AFL. Number 1 pick chance Callum Verrell - 187cm - big bodied half back, ball use pretty good and decent size. A bit of Shannon Hurn about him. Under-rated. Josh Weddle - 192cm - wonderful in the champs as a tall defender. Mobile, brave, intercepts, makes good decisions, great attitude. Can play on different types. In my top 10. Wildly under-rated. Matthew Jefferson - 195cm - tall forward, kicked 7 in a game, but a few were gimmes, still good size/athleticism/tools. A Harrison Jones-type, which helps his draft stock. Jovan Petric - 196cm - exciting talent, can run, shown some good hands and a penetrating kick. Promising tall forward. Lewis Hayes - 197cm - very good intercept defender. Kicking a bit flaky at times, but reads the play very well and clubs are more and more valuing this type of player. Hudson O'Keefe - 202cm - big ruck, can jump and very young for age group. Hard to evaluate but no shock if he is well-regarded.

Reid would be borderline top 5, possibly higher, and a top 10 certainty. Duursma borderline top 10.

Harley Reid was by a distance the best talent in the Vic Country-Allies game. Ashton Moir is going to be something to follow - kicks set shots with both feet and a mercurial forward.

Different draft prospect to what Ryder was. Ryder was more physically stout and played quite a bit at Centre Half Back in addition to being a genuine ruck in his junior days. Keeler more of a tall, lanky, mercurial forward type who can ruck a bit. It will be a long time before he'd be strong enough to be a meaningful ruckman at AFL level, but he's got a lot of football and athletic talent. He's up near 200cm but he'll be more of a third tall forward for his first few years in the system I would have thought.

Well, that's not a bad point but i call it as I see it and it would be how some recruiters see it, but mods feel free to delete my post. But Turner just remember, it is also dangerous to unnaturally give someone false hope.

I will be surprised (and bordering on another word that starts with s and ends in peechless) if he gets drafted. In fact, I actually think he isn't a good player at all, basically, man against boys inside giver who is probably too slow and the Stingrays would be better off without him. That's how much I don't like his game. His game at Morwell was borderline awful, turning it over by hand repeatedly in traffic, lazy tracking back, dropping marks in open space et cetera, falling into packs, clogging the game et cetera. Most of his tackles are dropping on the top of a player at ground level and most of his touches are little gives that don't amount to much. His stoppage pressure factor is almost non-existent. The last game he played at NAB level he did some shocking things. Other than having reasonably quick hands inside at times, and neat by foot at times, I've not seen anything of AFL standard from him, apart from pretty stats and I think he got mentioned in a team of the week somewhere because he got 36 possessions. At the risk of you calling me a troglodyte again and for some reason not getting banned, it would really help coverage of junior football on this site if you wouldnt just drop names out of thin air without watching them and if that's not the case, rewatch some of the Stingrays games and then put some actualy reasoning why you rate them, because it's bizarre, though not surprising, that if your covering so much football his is the name you pluck out. But I think I've worked out what's happening. I think maybe you think he will be a forward.

I was at the game Jack, ex Footscray and St Kilda midfielder (and one of the best suburban players ever) Michael Frost fumbled a kick in that Hoppers took too quickly and Colts pounced on the turnover to hit the front and win. Clarkey was a very, very good leading full forward with a hard edge and a Colts legend - a great local footy character. It will be great if his son makes it. Caddy was their boom recruit from the Northern Football League, a prodigiously talented burly Centre Half Forward who was on the Bulldogs supp list at one time or another. Both genuine local footy stars, team of the century for their clubs' players.

It seems a lot are giving credit to Gil for having the AFL continue to run during Covid, but which other major world sporting leagues didnt complete their season? Sure its a good effort but hardly unique. What he has presided over is laughable list management rules that have been rorted and loopholed, a completely ludicrous tribunal system, incongruent officiating, two-faced approached to gambling, horrific matchday pricing and crowd decline. I dont see many positives and if you deep dive into some of these issues, the league is actually a comedy ****show.

Ooze is my all time favourite player. Back in the days when you could watch the reserves before the seniors, I used to watch them every week. In his first year, he hadn't done much first half of the season in the twos. We went to Waverley to watch St Kilda and Yze played on Tim Pekin ( who played a lot of senior footy for Fitzroy and St Kilda) in midfield and absolutely destroyed him, had about 40 touches and was BOG by a mile. The next day in the paper he wasnt listed in the bests and Pekin was named Saints best. Was the strangest list of best players I've ever seen. As fate would have it, Ooze was listed in the emergencies next game against Richmond and I think Clay Sampson pulled out of the team late so he got a gig. That was the situation of his first game FWIW.

Yeah, the user experience is shocking on the app, agree with you there. But once your in the boys round of matches it's pretty good. Hopefully they add some match replays, player profiles and player highlights packages as they had pre-covid. The user experience across all of football is horrific. Think I read Redleg was finding it hard to find the VFL stream the other day and it was buried in a strange way of getting to it. Might be a controversial view, but I find the forced mixing of mens and womens in AFL content to be annoying as well, I had a horrible time finding Goodys press conference the other day, buried behind content I have no interest in reading.

Jack, the NAB league app is running and much better than that page for player stats and stuff, although the player profile links and some other features are not functional yet
