I've lost track. Proves my point. I just thought years ago they were actually 30 minutes, which is where we got the "120 minutes" of football from.
-
I don't think it's rotations. It's stoppages. The more teams zone, get numbers around the ball, contest the ball harder, increase the tackle count, play the boundary rather than the corridor, or kick towards the boundary after a behind, the more stoppages you'll get. Stoppages equal time-on. It's a function of the modern contested, zoning, rolling zone, flooding strategies. Find a way to reduce stoppages, and you'll get less time-on. When the quarters went for 30 minutes, they had about 2-3 minutes of time-on. Now they've got 25 minute quarters plus 7-8 minutes of time-on. If they reduced quarters to 20 minutes, pretty soon the game will just morph into 10-12 minutes of time on. Still football for 120 minutes ... of sorts. BTW, are those who are against shortening the game concerned about player welfare? ... about the increased injuries as play goes longer and everyone goes harder at the ball?

My Firefox 6 problem seems to have fixed itself. I can now post a link, for example demonland.com. Happy, happy joy.

I don't think this is Sheedy's conspiracy. I think it's your conspiracy theory.

My issue must be an IP Board v Firefox 6 one. I've checked it on Safari and Chrome, and the pop-up appears, although slightly delayed. On Firefox it never appears. I've made sure I've added demonland.com to the pop-up permissions, even tried it with the pop-up blocker turned off. Might have to switch browsers for Demonland.

I am having trouble with the text editor putting in a link or image etc.. When I click on the link or image symbol, my browser window greys out like it's trying to load the link pop-up, but it doesn't pop up and the page hangs for ever. The only way to get out of it is to click on the browser back arrow. Using Firefox 6 with Windows 7.

That was quick!

The RGB value of the red in the current Demonland panel is 204:0:51. The red the club is using on its website is 153:26:51, if that is of any help.

Good work Andy. Like the new skin. The editor works well. I had to upload my avatar again, but no big drama. I actually prefer 'plain' emoticons rather than the demon ones. Maybe it's just my preference for commonality with other sites and lack of clutter. If we are down to arguing about the shade of red or pink, then not much is wrong with the rest of it.

Can this be the start of a new era for the MFC

If you're going to ride the swing, you may as well go all out with hopeful, optimistic belief. -

As the pendulm swings from optimism to pessimism and back to optimism, hope to despondency and back to hope, belief to cynicism and back to belief, the secret to sanity is to just duck and get out of the way. -
Melbourne 2012: First-year coach who was an assistant at Collingwood. Collingwood 2012: First-year coach who was an assistant at Collingwood.

And of the top 8, only three have an experienced premiership-winning coach (Malthouse, Clarkson, Worsfold). The other five have coaches who had never previously had a senior role before becoming coach of their current club (Scott, Ratten, Lyon, Hird, Longmire). Three of them are in their first year.

Pretty sure the first thing he'll do when he gets there, before he even comes to a decision, is to make the promo video introducing himself to Fremantle members. It'll be dated yesterday.
-
Did Hutchy get an interview from Lyon at the airport? Did he say he was "just going to Fremantle for a look ... nothing decided yet"?
-
They would have needed to interview his dad. Anyone suggested it's the moment for an Angry Kennett-like response has got rocks in their head. The time for that, and to get the full story out, might come in the future but we still have compensation negotiations to work through. Not the time to get angry and put people offside, especialy those who hold the (purse) strings.

Outsourcing for a Genuine Experienced Leader

Gawd, not those bl**dy jungle drums again. -
The best thing for #31 is to give it to a person for whom we have no unrealistic expectations. Just let them play football. Then we won't get in a lather over what happens to it.

GWS (like the GCS) will get lots of first-year players on base rates. They'll get older, near-retired discards from other clubs on similar bargain levels while they build a team. Forward-paying Scully $2m in his first year will most likely be well within their cap for 2012. Then it'll be $4m for the next five years, which is $800,000 a year and quite manageable under the likely new player deal.

Somewhere else in the Hun today, they reported some research that showed men were attracted to women by nice breasts and a good figure. Wow.

Can we start a new thread tomorrow called 'Tom Scully on September 8th'?

It's Goddard isn't it?

Cripes ... 1, 4 and 2 games respectively. I think we lost for other reasons than just their mistakes.
