  1. I've just jumped in on this convo - but you can't just blame the coach. The MFC lacks leaders, experience and quality on the park - you name it the MFC dosen't have it at the moment This doesn't just develop overnight - Sacking the coach will not make our problems disappear
  2. Bit harsh on the pies - I'll take their recent game winning and travel record anyday... As pointed above in my last post - personell is the key - The MFC lacks a lot of quality and experience on the park learship, experience and quality - you name it the MFC dosen't have it at the moment
  3. Are we just not going to take in to account the average age and experience of the lists that play these game plans? I would just like to see the MFC win some contested footy, centre clearances and be able to run the ball.... None of that has happened all year - talking about games plans is a joke if the players can't even win the footy in the first place
  4. Makes me wonder if you are Mark Neeld..... throwing around all these stats Just a quick question - How long is a piece of sting?...... All your comments are based on speculation. Not sure if you realise [censored] changes. 8.5 wins in 2010 means nothing today. And for the record it's 2 coaches in 2/3 years this list hasn't played for...... Maybe every 18 months we need to change coaches to keep the players fresh.... That could be the secret
  5. Agree with all the good will on this thread.. Happy to see Bail back...
  6. Bit of an upmarket place i think Dance floor comes out after 10.30
  7. Haha agreed - Good to see our senior players leading the way!! In all seriousness this pretty much highlights 'Our' culture - turning up is good enough for some of these blokes..... Good luck Neeldy - true professionals through and through
  8. Just to touch a little on my last statement about Neeld 1st Half was pretty solid footy against WCE - we needed a bit more compusre and experience - For mine Neeld gets through to the players 2nd half was extremely poor - player fatigue or just switched competely off?? Inensity at the contest dropped off 100% after half time. (I dont think that is the coaches fault)
  9. I agree totally with this statement Chaning coaches will not get rid of all our problems I still have faith Neeld can get the changes neseccary to build a winning club........... Can he coach our current crop - jury is still out
  10. Love the big Russian He is a shadow of his past and I can't disagree with the haters.... Apart from being a good tap ruckman he is useless around the ground - offers very little after the bounce
  11. Spot on mate.. Anyone who hasn't worked out this is going to be a [censored] year needs to have a good hard look............ Changing coaches every 2 years is not the answer..... Very happy with the first half on Saturday (Clearly lots of development still needed). THe second half fade out is unacceptable........ but you can't blame the Coach for that sudden drop of intensity suely?
  12. I know it's not exactly the exact role you are pointing out that is at Collingwood or Essendon - but I thought Greg Healy was the Football Director (and hence would be in charge of coaching etc) Do we need a director of Coaching?? Not sure - I'd assume Neil Craig would be adequate but only the Board would know.... Job for the new CEO?
  13. Love the work on this tread... Would love to come but work won't allow!!! Keep up the good work lads
  14. I would love this club to come out all guns blazing and win a game But Sylvia's 9 Possesion 0 contested possessions tells me not to get my hopes up
  15. My father keeps saying that OD haha (in his late 50s probably of your ilk) Tough times at Deeland
  16. I understand the context of theat question haha sorry mate Maybe Neeld should haha
  17. I do realise a lot of this thread is to make fun of our situation - but it is still an interesting read Probalby a poor thread for my contributions but it's too hard in 30 mins at lunch and in the morning to catch up with every discussion
  18. if that is a question to I - I do not read a lot of Demonland no Do enjoy the occasional debte And bloody confused why such poor preformances are happening on field - if anyone thinks its and easy answer they are kidding themselves 2 coaches in 3 years can't get the required output form this group. Do we think a new coach is giong to make this all go away?
  19. The two top points Jack i think answer each other - on field and off field leadership has been very poor from our 'Senior' group (rightly or wrongly from whats happened in the past) And I feel Pederson and blokes like that have been brought in to fill the massive gap. Has it worked - no, not yet. And Rives choose to leave, so that leads to the question - why are these pi$$ed off senior players still at the club? Why do they feel they can take the pay check but not put in on field? Why do you get the choice to disagree with the coach? The rest of your post i agree with For me i don't care who is right or wrong from 2009 to now - these blokes represent our club on and off the field and from 2009 to now those leaders you mentioned have not done their jobs - Frawley gets a honourable mention as not having a lot of support for a young bloke
  20. I would like to know from you Waltham and Watts jurrah Dunn why you think change wasn't needed or what changes should have been made? Are you saying the club was in a good position at the end of 2011? Do you think the free flowing game style with little to no defensive accountability would flourish in the ultra pressure (floods and presses) that now is AFL football?? Are the players to blame for their performances or should they be allowed to solely blame the administration? I don't see blokes like Sylvia, Jamar, Dunn standing up for the club right now - on or off field that is a real worry as these blokes should be leaders Why stay at the club if they aren't happy? Dunn could have left at the end of 2012 if he was unhappy with 09 or the current coach? None of this [censored] makes sense I am not saying the Administration who appoints and runs the FD are not to blame - but how is changing the Admin going to solve short term on feild issues??
  21. A lot of mocking on this thread but also some good discussion I picked this post WJD as I think it highlights how we haven't gone anywhere since Neeld was appointed. My question and my real worry is - the club was in termoil when you (Neeld) was appointed - Why are we in exactly the same position now as when you were appointed?? Why is the playing group not committing to your coaching style? What really worries me from all the speculation is that there seems to be a second time in 2 years this playing group seems to be rebelling against two seperate coaches... And it only takes 2 or 3 on-feild to not put in to get punnished at AFL level now.
  22. I think you're spot on about that point Akum. I don't think the players we've brought in are the big problems - it's bloke who have been there for a while now just taking their pay check and not giving a [censored] about the place. There are a lot of unanswered questions Blokes like Sylvia, Jamar etc should be showing a lot more leadership then they do.... it's a bloody sad state of affairs
  23. There is a difference between running with a player and standing toe to toe at a stoppage You can't argue there was any pressure on Watson all night - not sure McKenzie is the only player that could have played on him
