Article on sen in regards to suns pick 4.
“It will be changing hands. Whether North can compete with the Bulldogs remains to be seen, or whether North pivot and go for Melbourne’s first pick.”
Swear afl journalists have such a poor understanding of the trade and draft period. In what world would we accept pick 14 and 19 for a top 5 pick. We don't need points and 14 and 19 will become compromised by at least 4 academy and f/s selections. Would roughly look more like pick 7 for 18 and 23.
They're just generating clicks, there is little to no real news ATM.

Lol this rumour was created by a fake Mitch Cleary account. 🤣
He signed a massive 6 year contract this year to 2029 and you believe a rumour that straight after he's signed this he's already willing to talk to the dees?
Do you realise how stupid this now looks ?
Im all for rumors, and they should be taken at a grain of sale, but the above is 100% spot on. There is no way he would have signed if he was leaving.

It's plain and clear that this is now affecting him as he can barely turn or break out into a gallop. It was embarrassing watching him in both finals.
Brown knees are just simply cooked. There's no further explanation needed.
Thanks for the injury update. I agree with the fact they are old and injured so we are unlikely to get much out of them, but i am not going to cry about it and shoot anyone down who disagrees with me.
They have an offseason to get their bodies right and find some form. I'd take anything over nothing.

Key Fwd wise, still not getting any names whatsoever bandied about apart from some surmising that the obvious— but still more dream-like — candidates are Hawkins, Walker, Larkey (24-25, — Whilst other names of muted interest are Jack Hayes, Fullarton, Day, Chol, Coleman-Jones, Reid among others prev mentioned.
Ruck wise it seems we’ll likely go to VFL, but why we’re not in Goldstein sweepstakes beats me, esp if he’s interested in playing behind Draper for “Success” — Got to be worth a chat surely.Love the club at least asking question if Larkey, just wish it had of come 3m earlier!
Stay Tuned…
He was rumored to be going back to Perf? I could be wrong.
Dow as well, don't think we'd be interested in him.
None of those names really inspire trading the fram for, i hope we go hard for pick 4 and load up for the future. Larkey i think is pure fantasy, although Hayes at the right price was handy, but if Saints are after Sheils i can't see them wanting to part with Hayes
Thanks Nudgey - keep us posted

That’s because the player is usually playing for their next contract, and it’s often a big one. There is motivation.
In BBrown and TMacs case, neither will be getting another contract at their age with their injury history.
Browns knee is stuffed. He’s been managing it for years, but it’s at the point where it doesn’t seem it can be managed effectively anymore. TMac has played 1 full season in the last 6 years, and even that was off limited preseason due to injury. His foot’s stuffed. We’d be negligent to offer either a new contract. We need to find other tall forward options in a hurry.
Im not arguing with anything you're saying.
The art of coaching is getting the most out of the players, Im not making any predicitons, I'm simply saying hopefully we can get lucky and get somehting out of one of these two next year.
I am not going to make assumptions on their personal positions.

No, but others are coming quickly. ANd in the next 3-5 years the bottom will be challenging.
We need a gamestyle tweak, i am not sure if it is possible with our list though, we have a bunch of competitors and not fast ball users.
I think we can remain competitive and even challenge again depending on what we do this offseaon, (trading FA and drafting). This off season will be interesting.

Goody,
Lets hope under Dillon the fixture stays compromised, drafting stays compromised, umpiring stays compromised like in the last 5 mins of a premil we won't pay obvious free kicks becuse we wouldn't want to ruin the game aka we won't X team to win, stays, and oh how could i forget the tribunal and the boys clubs cluture so we can continue to milk the $$$
My personal fav though is, lets change the time the GF is played so we can sell teh product more readily internationally, $$$$ for all [censored] the actual game.
Go AFL.
*** You might have guessed im a bit of a pessimist on the AFL and it's integrity. For example, lets preach popular social causes, but profit from gambling activities.... What a great bunch of leaders we have at the AFL, preach to the blind and hope no one asks questions.

Doesnt matter. Even if he knocked him out the MRO (ex pies premiership player)would flick it straight to the AFL corporate tribunal. Cleared to play in GF!
Oh thanks mate.yeah no worries.
100% accurate. I dont remember the incident, it dosen't matter how serious it was, i gaurentee you he won't get rubbed out.

Ben McKay has chosen Essendon. Allegedly they offered less than Hawthorn. Fingers crossed it doesn't trigger band 1 but all the noise still points towards it.
Yeh will be interesting, aren't the AFL considering an assistance package to North?
Compensation could be part of that?

Also noted Joel Smith's sincere concern for Weitering after the throat knock. Lingered with him, patiently helped him up. The body language was eloquent.
We're definitely the good guys. Will make climbing to being great again all the sweeter.
I don't know if this has been brought up (sorry if it has somewhere else but ice buried my head in the sand after Friday).
How Weitering wasn't taken off or put under concussion protocol astounds me. He shouldnt be playing this week.
Rules for some different rules for others? The AFL is corrupt

No new information about any targets or potential movements - just Ralphy’s list of players he suggests we go after ranked from ‘Hail Mary’ types like Oscar Allan and Harry McKay to more gettable options like Mabior Chol
Honestly nothing that inspires any confidence of being able to lure across a star key forward - but then again what would Ralphy actually know about who the club might be talking to 🤷♂️
So Ralph started the Oscar Allen rumor

I don't want to lose Spargo for a late 2nd or 3rd, his semi final showed what we'd been missing - but if this is in someway connected with trading Our Firsts and Spargo for that pick #2 and then coming at WCE with an ultimatum on Reid/Curtin, then its a smart move - If North were willing.
Agreed,
We will wait and see what happens.

Saw this rumour on Reddit about Spargo. Not sure if it's just drawing conclusions based on family links or they're actual "small rumblings"
"Ins are likely to be Stephens and Fisher though there seems to be some small rumblings about Charlie Spargo which is a watch this space as he has family links with North and Clarko. A mature defender or two as well but maybe the state leagues for these."

Interesting.
I back our FD in to make some moves, and there could be a couple on the trade block.

At the start I was all in for Reid.
I've now changed my tune and think if we are able to accumulate some first round picks we then hit the draft and top up with fresh talent. Our list profile is now starting to get on and we've gotta be willing to not only up with talent but also remain in contention
Let's be honest, we're not a getting a established key forward in the trade period so might as well just focus on get some elite young talent through while we can.
Yeh i agree with this as well, I don't think our forward half issues will be fixed in one offseason, if we manget to get some good picks this year i would be loading up with as much talent as possible.
Kids like Rivers, Bowey, McVee, Sparrow have lifted our game but it would be good some more top end talent to really keep pushing and target some FAs over the next few years to fill the holes
